Amon opened the door and stepped inside the apartment.

His entire body was drenched in sweat after spending the early morning training, and his legs already felt like they were about to give up.

He immediately walked toward the weighing scale near the wall and stepped onto it while wiping the sweat from his forehead.

The number appearing on the scale made him sigh in relief.

’I’ve lost twenty kilograms.’

It had only been three days since his awakening, yet the combination of the [Perfected Origin Body] and [Mana Furnace] had already produced a ridiculous change.

Amon stepped down from the scale with a satisfied smile before stretching his aching arms.

’At this rate, six weeks might actually turn me into a different person.’

He grabbed a towel and started walking toward the bathroom, but the door suddenly opened before he could reach it.

Sidney walked out while wearing a bathrobe, her wet black hair with orange highlights hanging over her shoulders after taking a shower.

Amon immediately looked away and moved to the side so she could pass.

’...Too big.’ He thought. ’Those two are really too big.’

He cleared his throat while staring at the opposite wall, refusing to give her any reason to accuse him of staring again.

Sidney stopped beside him and glared at his sweaty figure. "I heard you were on a date yesterday."

Her expression was filled with disgust as she looked him up and down.

"Which poor girl did you blackmail, you fat pig?"

Amon opened his mouth to refute her accusation, and he remembered what had actually happened.

’...Technically, she’s not completely wrong.’

He closed his mouth again before giving her an annoyed look. "None of your business."

Sidney continued glaring at him for several seconds before turning around.

"Whatever." She started walking toward her room before suddenly remembering something. "Mom had to leave early this morning."

Amon raised an eyebrow.

"She didn’t make breakfast, so we’re supposed to eat outside."

She didn’t wait for his response before walking away.

Amon watched her disappear down the hallway before letting out a tired sigh.

’So much for breakfast.’

He turned around and entered the bathroom.

---

Amon arrived at Walton Academy later that morning.

His body was still sore from the training session, but he forced himself to keep walking until he reached his classroom.

The academy was considerably quieter than usual, although students were already gathering inside their classrooms.

Amon took his usual seat near the middle of the room and leaned back against his chair.

Several students were talking about their newly awakened abilities.

Some were comparing mana levels while others were already bragging about what kind of careers they planned to pursue.

Amon quietly listened to the gossip while waiting for the teacher.

A few minutes later, the classroom door opened.

A middle-aged man walked inside carrying a crystal tablet beneath his arm.

He wore the dark uniform of a senior academy instructor, although Amon didn’t recognize him.

The man placed the tablet on the desk before looking across the classroom.

"Good morning."

The students quickly became quiet.

"Your usual teacher isn’t available today, so I’ll be taking this class."

He turned toward the crystal board behind him.

"Since you’ve all awakened recently, today’s lesson will cover the basics you need to understand before you begin serious training."

The teacher raised his hand, and a blue screen appeared above his palm.

"The first thing you should understand is your System Level."

A large number appeared on the board.

[Level 1]

"Your level is a general indicator of your overall development."

He pointed toward the number.

"Level one is the lowest level an awakened person can have, while level one hundred represents the highest level normally achievable through conventional means."

Several students immediately became interested.

The teacher continued explaining while writing several numbers across the board.

"Your level isn’t determined by a single attribute."

"It reflects your overall strength, mana development, physical condition, combat ability, and other factors recognized by the Universal System."

Amon quietly opened his own System.

His current level appeared immediately.

[Level: 1]

Amon stared at it for several seconds.

’I’m literally at the bottom.’

He already knew his physical stats were terrible. ’Even the weakest awakened person is probably stronger than me.’

"Don’t misunderstand the meaning of levels. A higher level doesn’t automatically guarantee victory."

The teacher continued speaking.

"Someone with better abilities, greater combat experience, or superior equipment can defeat someone several levels above them."

Amon nodded slightly to himself as that part made sense.

Strength wasn’t simply about numbers.

The teacher then changed the information on the board.

This time, several dungeon entrances appeared.

"The second thing you need to understand is dungeon classification."

"Large dungeons don’t always have a definite level requirement, but they can contain monsters ranging from extremely weak creatures to monsters capable of killing high-level awakened individuals."

The teacher pointed toward a smaller dungeon on the board.

"For that reason, lower-level awakened individuals are advised to remain inside smaller dungeons."

"Your level doesn’t make you immortal."

"You should always choose a dungeon appropriate for your current ability."

Several students nodded seriously.

Amon looked at the images of the dungeons. ’So even a Level 1 can technically enter a large dungeon.’

That sounded useful, but it also sounded like a good way to die.

The teacher then moved on to the final topic.

"Mana."

A faint blue glow appeared around his hand.

"Every awakened person possesses mana."

"Learning how to control it is one of the most important things you can do after awakening."

He slowly moved his fingers.

The mana surrounding his hand began gathering toward his palm.

"You can reinforce your body with mana."

"You can strengthen your physical attacks, improve your senses, defend yourself, or use it to activate abilities."

The blue glow slowly disappeared.

"But mana is limited."

"Poor control will waste it, while proper circulation will allow you to fight for much longer."

Amon quietly watched the demonstration.

He had already begun learning how to circulate mana through the Frost Monarch Cultivation Method.

Compared to what he had been taught during his first year, the technique was far more advanced.

’Still, knowing the basics can’t hurt.’

The teacher continued explaining the fundamentals of mana control until the academy bell finally rang.

The sound immediately echoed through the classroom.

The teacher glanced toward the time before closing his crystal tablet.

"That’s enough for today."

"Tomorrow, we’ll begin discussing abilities and combat applications."

The students immediately started packing their belongings.

Amon leaned back in his chair and let out a quiet sigh.

’At least today’s lesson wasn’t useless.’

He reached for his bag, but before he could stand, several students suddenly surrounded his desk.

Amon slowly looked up. Roderick stood at the front, and Marcus was beside him.

Several other students were standing behind them.

Roderick crossed his arms while staring down at Amon with a mocking smile.

"Well, well."

Amon’s expression immediately became tired.

’What does this idiot want now?’

Roderick leaned slightly closer. "Why don’t you come with us so we can talk, you fat waste of space?"

Amon stared at them for several seconds before slowly standing from his chair.

His newly trained body was still exhausted.

A small smile appeared on his face.

’Maybe I should test how much stronger I’ve become.’
