10,000x Rebate System: Every Return Makes Me Stronger
Chapter 4: Money Printing MachineAmon stepped off the bus and immediately looked around the busy market.
The market was one of the largest trading areas in Langton.
Although the city wasn’t considered one of the major cities of the Salem Kingdom, it was still an important place.
Salem Kingdom itself was a relatively medium-sized kingdom, but it possessed multiple large dungeons that attracted adventurers from different parts of the continent.
Which naturally made dungeon-related goods an important part of the local economy.
Amon wasn’t interested in the expensive shops located near the center of the market.
Most of the good stuff there had already been inspected by people who knew exactly what they were doing.
Instead, he headed toward the second-hand market, where old equipment, damaged artifacts, and other strange products taken from dungeons were sold at much cheaper prices.
’Let’s see what I can find.’
Amon walked through the narrow street while looking at the different shops around him.
After a few minutes, he finally found a small store that seemed to be selling the cheap and questionable items he was looking for.
The shop was rather small, with dusty shelves covering almost every wall.
Amon walked inside and began looking around.
His [Merchant’s Divine Insight] quietly activated the moment his eyes landed on the various items.
Information began appearing beside the objects one after another, revealing their actual value and potential.
No ordinary merchant could see what he could.
Most of the items weren’t worth anything special, and some were actually even worse than the price written on their tags.
Amon wasn’t disappointed, though, because he only needed to find one good item.
His eyes eventually landed on a small red ruby sitting inside a wooden box near the corner of the shop.
Information immediately appeared in front of his eyes.
---
[Low-Grade Ruby]
Seller’s Price: 1 Silver Coin
Actual Value: 137 Silver Coins
Purity: 87%
Potential: High
Additional Information: Suitable for several types of magical jewelry and mana-enhancing artifacts.
---
Amon’s eyes widened slightly. ’Found it.’
He picked up the small ruby and walked toward the shopkeeper, who was an old man sitting behind the counter.
"I’ll give you fifty bronze coins for this."
The old man slowly looked up from his book before glancing at the ruby in Amon’s hand.
"Fifty bronze?"
His eyes moved toward Amon’s large body, and the old man’s expression softened slightly as though he had suddenly taken pity on him.
The ruby was worth a silver coin, so fifty bronze coins was obviously a terrible offer.
The old man hesitated for a moment before letting out a small sigh.
"Fine, take it."
Amon’s eyes immediately brightened as he pulled out fifty bronze coins and placed them on the counter.
"Thank you."
He quickly put the ruby into his pocket before the old man could change his mind.
Amon walked out of the shop with a grin on his face, already feeling much better about the money-making plan he had come up with.
He didn’t go very far before finding a jewelry shop located on the main street.
He approached the merchant and placed the ruby on the counter.
The merchant inspected the ruby carefully before his eyes widened slightly, apparently surprised by the quality of the stone.
"I can give you one hundred silver coins for this."
Amon couldn’t hide the grin on his face. ’One hundred silver from fifty bronze.’
He accepted the money without hesitation and walked out of the shop with a much heavier pouch hanging from his waist.
The first successful use of his skill had already made him two hundred times richer than the amount he had originally spent.
Amon couldn’t help but grin like a madman. ’This skill is fucking amazing.’
Now that he had some money, Amon decided that he shouldn’t waste the opportunity.
He immediately went looking for something useful for his physical training.
He eventually found a shop selling training equipment and purchased several wristbands and leg weights that could be worn during daily activities.
They weren’t particularly expensive, but they were heavy enough to make ordinary walking considerably more difficult.
Amon wasn’t sure how much his body would improve after the Perfected Origin Body finished its reconstruction, but there was no reason to sit around doing nothing for six weeks.
’If I start training now, maybe I’ll come out of this with a decent body.’
With the training equipment secured, Amon continued walking through the market until he found a shop specializing in mana cultivation techniques.
The shop was considerably larger than the previous stores, with dozens of cultivation manuals displayed behind protective glass.
Amon walked inside and began looking through them while his [Merchant’s Divine Insight] continued analyzing everything that caught his attention.
Most of the techniques were either too expensive or completely useless to him, but after searching through several shelves, Amon suddenly noticed a thin blue-covered book sitting in a corner.
He picked it up, and the moment he did, information appeared before his eyes.
---
[Incomplete Frostheart Cultivation Method]
Current Seller’s Price: 50 Silver Coins
Actual Value: 10,700+ Gold Coins
Grade: Unknown
Element: Ice
Completion: 63%
Additional Information: The remaining portion of the cultivation method can be found inside a newly formed dungeon.
Estimated Location: Unknown
Estimated Discovery Time: Approximately two weeks.
---
Amon stared at the information for several seconds. ’What the fuck?’
The cultivation method was worth more than ten thousand gold coins, yet the shop was selling it for only fifty.
He quickly checked the information again to make sure he hadn’t misunderstood something.
The price was still fifty silver coins, and the actual value was still above ten thousand gold coins.
The System was also telling him that the missing portion could be found inside a dungeon.
Amon’s heart began beating faster. ’This isn’t even a hidden treasure anymore.’
This was practically money lying on the ground.
He immediately walked toward the shopkeeper and placed the cultivation manual on the counter.
"I’ll take this."
The shopkeeper looked at the book before nodding and telling him the price.
Amon paid the fifty silver coins without hesitation and immediately placed the cultivation method inside his bag.
He walked out of the shop with a huge smile on his face.
Amon opened his System panel while walking through the crowded street and selected [Tenfold Return].
---
[Tenfold Return]
Description: A genuine investment made toward a registered wife may produce an amplified return.
Return Value: Based on the value and significance of the investment.
Current Multiplier: ×10
Additional Information: The greater the benefit provided to the wife, the greater the potential return.
---
Amon stared at the description while his smile slowly became wider.
He looked down at the cultivation manual inside his bag.
Then he thought about Seraphina’s ice affinity.
He couldn’t even imagine what the System would return after he gave it to her.
’What will I get if I give this to Seraphina?’
Amon couldn’t stop himself from smiling as he imagined ten times the value of the cultivation method appearing inside his inventory.
Maybe he would get an even better cultivation technique, or perhaps the System would simply throw ten thousand gold coins at him.
Whatever the reward was, Amon was certain that it would be worth the fifty silver coins he had spent.
He adjusted the training weights hanging from his bag and started walking toward the bus stop.
Amon looked toward the road ahead with a bright smile on his face.
’Seraphina, you’re going to make me rich.’
