Amon walked out of his room after getting ready for the academy.

He still felt a little tired from what he had done the previous night.

He had originally planned to wake up early and start training before going to the academy.

But his body had been completely exhausted after using the Mana Furnace for several hours.

Even so, Amon didn’t forget to put on the wrist and leg weights he had bought yesterday.

He wanted to get used to their weight as quickly as possible.

As he walked toward the door while adjusting the straps around his wrists, he suddenly noticed someone sleeping on the sofa.

Amon stopped and looked toward the woman lying there.

It was Ambrosia Doxie, his foster mother.

’Too tired to get back to your room?’ Amon thought with a tired sigh.

She was still wearing her professional clothes, with her dark hair slightly messy from sleeping.

Her beautiful features looked softer without the usual serious expression she wore at work.

Her face looked quite similar to Sidney’s, although Ambrosia had a more mature charm.

Amon stared at her for a moment before letting out a small sigh. ’She’s seriously reckless.’

Sleeping on the sofa while still wearing work clothes wasn’t exactly healthy.

She had already been working long hours because of the increasing number of dungeons around the kingdom.

Amon walked closer and carefully picked up a blanket before placing it over her body.

He made sure she was properly covered before taking his bag and walking toward the door.

"I’ll be going."

There was naturally no reply.

Amon quietly closed the door behind him and headed toward the bus stop.

Fortunately, he didn’t have to wait very long before the first bus arrived.

This time, he managed to find an empty seat that was large enough for him to sit comfortably without taking up two seats.

He leaned against the window and looked at his reflection in the glass.

His face still looked rather round, and his body was still far from being considered healthy, but there was already a noticeable difference compared to yesterday.

’I’ve already lost at least ten kilograms.’

The Mana Furnace had been far more effective than Amon had expected.

Most of that mana had been converted into energy during the night.

The process had also caused a considerable amount of fat to disappear from his body.

Amon couldn’t help but feel excited when he thought about what six weeks would do to him.

’Maybe I’ll actually become handsome.’

Amon continued staring outside the window as the bus moved through the city.

He soon remembered Sidney, who was technically the same age as him but wasn’t attending the same class.

She had failed her previous grade and had been forced to repeat it.

’She’s an idiot, but at least I don’t have to see her in my class.’

The thought alone made Amon feel slightly better.

The bus eventually arrived near the academy.

Amon stepped down before walking toward the enormous gates of Walton Academy.

The academy was already crowded with students, but Amon didn’t bother paying attention to them.

He walked beneath the shade of the large trees lining the path toward the main building.

He soon arrived near the senior student classrooms.

Amon didn’t have to search for Seraphina for very long.

She was simply too popular.

The blue-haired girl was surrounded by several students who were talking to her.

The moment she noticed Amon approaching, her face immediately turned red.

She quickly walked toward him with an embarrassed expression. "What are you doing here!?"

Amon blinked at her reaction before scratching the back of his head.

"I came to apologize."

He took off his bag and opened it before pulling out the incomplete Frostheart Cultivation Method.

Amon held the book toward her. "This is my apology."

Seraphina stared at the cultivation manual in his hand with a surprised expression.

She hesitated for a moment before slowly accepting it. "It wasn’t your fault."

Her voice was much quieter than usual.

Amon looked at her for a moment before smiling. "I still think I went too far."

Seraphina looked down at the book in her hands.

Cultivation techniques were among the most valuable resources in this world.

They allowed people to absorb mana more efficiently and gradually increase their physical and magical attributes.

Even the lowest-grade cultivation techniques were expensive, while high-grade techniques were practically priceless.

The incomplete Frostheart Cultivation Method Amon had given Seraphina was already far beyond what an ordinary student could afford.

Seraphina clearly understood its value. "Where did you get this?"

Amon smiled. "I found it in the market."

Before Seraphina could say anything else, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind them.

"Seraphina, is this guy bothering you?"

Amon turned around. A young man was walking toward them with several students following behind him.

He was tall and well-built, with neatly styled dark-golden hair and sharp green eyes.

His academy uniform was slightly different from the others, carrying a golden emblem that represented one of the most influential families in Langton.

His name was Lucian Everhart.

He was the eldest son of the Everhart family, a noble family that controlled several businesses related to dungeons.

Lucian was also considered one of the most talented students in the senior year.

His awakening had revealed a powerful lightning affinity.

Seraphina’s expression immediately became cold. "It has nothing to do with you."

Lucian’s smile disappeared slightly as his eyes moved toward Amon. "...I was only asking."

"And I answered." Seraphina didn’t even bother looking at him again as she turned toward Amon. "You should go back to your class."

Amon nodded. "Alright."

He turned around and began walking away without saying anything else.

As he walked away, he could feel someone’s gaze following him.

Amon glanced back briefly.

Lucian was still standing there, staring at him with an expression that made it seem like he wanted to kill him.

Amon raised an eyebrow. ’What did I even do to this guy?’

He shrugged and continued walking.

He had barely made it halfway back when a familiar notification appeared in front of his eyes.

---

[You have obtained: Frost Monarch Cultivation Method.]

[Grade: Diamond.]

---

Amon stopped walking.

His eyes widened as he stared at the notification. ’Diamond Grade?’

The cultivation method he had given Seraphina was only Gold Grade according to the System, but the reward was two entire grades higher.

Amon’s smile slowly grew wider. ’This Tenfold Return is fucking ridiculous.’

He immediately opened the information about the new cultivation method.

---

[Frost Monarch Cultivation Method]

Grade: Diamond

Element: Ice

Additional Effect: Allows the user to dual cultivate with other ice users.

---

Amon stared at the information with excitement.

He had originally expected some money or another cultivation method...

’If this is what I get for giving her a Gold Grade technique...’

Amon’s eyes slowly turned blank.

’What happens when I give her something truly valuable?’

He couldn’t help but grin as he imagined the possibilities.

Amon eventually arrived at his classroom and took his usual seat before opening the System panel again.

’...Hm, the dual cultivation thing is quite good.’

He was still thinking about the dual cultivation when Miss Helena walked into the classroom.

The chatter among the students immediately died down.

Miss Helena placed her crystal tablet on the desk before looking across the class with a satisfied expression.

"Congratulations to everyone who successfully awakened yesterday."

Several students immediately smiled proudly.

Miss Helena waited for everyone to settle down before continuing.

"You have all taken the first step toward becoming awakened individuals, but don’t allow that achievement to make you arrogant."

Her expression became serious. "Awakening is only the beginning."

She began to walk slowly around the empty stage as she continued.

"There are people outside this academy who have spent decades training, fighting inside dungeons, and risking their lives to become stronger."

She looked across the students one by one.

"Compared to them, your current abilities mean very little."

Amon nodded slightly as he agreed with her.

Having a System didn’t mean he could suddenly ignore everyone stronger than him.

Miss Helena then tapped her crystal tablet, causing another piece of information to appear in front of the class.

"There’s something else you should all know."

The students looked toward her.

"In one month, the academy will conduct the Potential Assessment."

Several students immediately became serious.

"This examination will determine your potential, your current development, and several other factors that will influence which top colleges are willing to accept you."

Miss Helena paused for a moment before adding another sentence.

"So don’t waste the next month."

Amon looked at the information displayed on the crystal tablet.

’One month, huh?’

His fingers slowly tightened around the edge of his desk.

By then, his Perfected Origin Body would be progressed by a lot.

Amon leaned back in his chair with a grim face. ’...I need to get powerful quickly.’
