The ogres rushed ahead at full speed, eager to attack and take down the settlement, but they were up against a force that they had no preparation for, a force that had gotten names and had all evolved:
The orcs led the attack, rushing in to attack. They clashed with the ogres, pushing them back as the clash grew massively in seconds. At the same time, the wolves began to go around to flank and attack the army of the ogres, and the goblins went between the gaps to land attacks:
It was a foolproof heavy attack system that would ensure they pushed the enemies back in a massive wave. The lizardmen that could fly took to the air and began to rain arrows from above.
Riker was in their midst. He charged in toward an ogre. The ogre saw him come in and went for an attack, swinging at full speed. Riker dodged the attack, stepping in to close the distance and attack. He shot for the stomach and punched hard. His fist caused the ogre to cave in and then get thrown back.
The ogre hit the ground hard and rolled. Riker followed up. He leaped into the air, his feet covered in flame as he came down. He slammed right into the chest of the ogre and it burst open. Blood gushed out but was burnt in only seconds by the heat of his flames.
He looked around and saw an ogre coming his way. The ogre attacked with a slash to the head and Riker dodged, spinning around and getting behind the ogre. He placed his hand on the back of the ogre and unleashed a blast of compressed flames that ripped the back and came out of the front, killing the ogre in one blow, while his eyes scanned the area for another.
More rushed at him in an attempt to surround and take him down, but he moved fast and shot into the air. When he got above, he slashed down, attacking with flame claws. Each one dug into the ogres below and caused massive wounds.
He clasped his hands together. The flame gathered and got hotter and more compressed with every second. He shot down and slammed into their center. The explosion that followed threw everyone in every direction. Their bodies hit the ground hard, covered in massive burns that left them barely alive.
He looked up and turned behind him, seeing that some of the ogres had made their way through the defense and were getting into the settlement. He also saw that they had suffered some heavy injuries, and he even saw one dead goblin.
When he saw this, his eyes changed. A rage that was new to him filled his heart. Seeing one of the monsters that lived with him die ticked him off completely. He shot into the air and charged at them.
"Arghhhhhhhhh!" He roared in pain as he swung down with a punch, his fist shattering the skull of an ogre on impact, causing all of them to look.
He stood there, huffing and puffing heavily with his fist covered in blood.
"How dare you," he growled.
An ogre rushed in from behind and swung at him. He weaved to the side and evaded the attack, spinning around and punching the ogre so hard in its guts that his fist broke through and came out the other side covered in blood.
He pulled his fist out and looked at the rest, bloodlust in his eyes, a side of him that he had never known he had.
The reason why Riker was the way he was was not because he wanted to be that way. It was simply because his mind only knew two extremes, extremely excited or extremely enraged. He had grown naturally to flow toward the excited. But as the pressure continued to grow, he could no longer hold onto that excitement as he slowly slipped into depression.
Now all that remained was a rage that kept building.
Riker stood there breathing heavily. He looked ahead and saw more ogres. He gritted his teeth and charged ahead faster than before. The first ogre tried to attack with a slash. Riker dodged with ease and then grabbed the other by the throat, his gauntlet digging deep as he pulled with force and tore out the neck in one swift move, while spinning and proceeding to kick the next one right in the head with so much force he shattered the skull.
He landed on the ground and did not even stop for a moment before attacking the next. He moved like an unstoppable force, killing more of them in a span of a few seconds. He killed more than twenty of them.
He stood there breathing heavily, blood dripping from his fist as he looked over to Ragna. The moment that his eyes landed on Ragna, who had hit the ground, and Tempest, who was walking away, he froze.
Eyes rounded as he took in all that was happening at this moment. Ragna was no longer moving. He was lying in a puddle of his own blood, and every sign of life was nearly gone or gone.
"Yo..you..."
He began to twitch as he tried to speak, and then suddenly his entire eyes turned blood red in an unnatural way.
"Die!!!!!" He roared as he shot forward in the next instance. He covered the distance so fast it looked like teleportation. Tempest was not even paying attention when a fist collided with his face so hard that he was thrown back through the entire clearing. He slammed into the base of the mountain so hard that he cracked it and left a massive hole there.
Tempest struggled to get out, and as he looked up, he saw Riker walking toward him, eyes burning with so much hate that it could be felt.
"Are you angry that I kill" before Tempest could finish what he had to say, a knee came flying at his face. He very quickly pushed himself out of the hole and rolled out of the way. Riker’s knee slammed into the rock with a force that shattered more parts of the mountain. A massive crack formed along the side of the mountain.
Tempest got some distance between them and then spoke.
"Haha, why did you not come at me first rather than that weaker orc?"
Riker’s frown deepened when he heard that. He charged in again, coming with a barrage of slashes. Tempest blocked each one. The sparks flew through the air as the two of them locked in battle.
Tempest dodged an attack and leaned in. He slashed from below where Riker would not be able to block. He expected Riker to dodge the attack, and so he would use that to his advantage, but much to his dismay, Riker did not back down. He stepped in and took the attack. The blade dug into the side of his body, blood gushed out immediately, and he groaned in pain.
He groaned and pushed forward, headbutting Tempest right in the head. He followed up by grabbing him and pulling his head down, slamming his head into his knee. Tempest’s head bounced back from the force, eyes rolling back from the shock of the attack.
"Arghhhh" Riker roared and tried to attack, but Tempest dodged the attack clean. He placed his hand on Riker’s chest and a blast of powerful flames ripped out, throwing Riker back. He hit the floor hard and rolled to a stop.
"Instincts and rage will only get you so far. I have to admit that you are strong, but you have no way of using that strength, moving wildly like a crazy monster."
Riker struggled back to his feet, bleeding from where he had taken the cut and burned in his front. He looked resolute, with eyes that said it all. He was not going down easy.
He took one step, and then another, then another. His wings spread, and a flame followed from his chest and covered his entire wings and upper body like some sort of armour.
Tempest frowned, "How is he doing that?" He muttered in disbelief.
Riker looked up and dashed instantly. He crossed the distance fast, his fist already pulled back, coated in flames as he shot the punch. Tempest weaved to the right and dodged the attack. He tried to counter, only to see the second fist coming for him. He blocked it with his sword.
BAM!
The force threw him back until he slammed into the mountain. Riker chased after with an attack. Tempest countered with a massive slash that unleashed a wide flame arc. Riker punched through the flames and got to the other side, his body covered in burns but he thugged it out. He looked ahead and Tempest was not there.
He looked up and Tempest had leaped into the air with his sword above his head, ready for attack, covered in a highly compressed flame that kept growing in heat and strength with every passing moment.
