"You stole my Oiran and think you can just walk away? What, you think I, Kira, am easy to mess with?"
She crossed both arms over her chest.
Striking a pose like she was the king of the world.
And she spoke to Sheryl Schultz with an arrogant tone.
"Exactly, my sis Kira is the top girl of The Empyrean Palace. You come here acting all high and mighty, did you even ask my sis Kira first?"
One of the women blocking the way said.
"I've already taken the Oiran. So what do you want to do about it now?"
Sheryl asked.
Kira let out a cold snort.
She said, "I'm not trying to make things hard for you. How about this, you kneel right here and kowtow to me, say 'Sis Kira, I was wrong,' and I'll let you go."
"And if I don't?"
"You're doing it whether you want to or not. If you don't, I'll strip you naked and drag you out to the road for everyone to have a look. If you don't believe me, go ahead and try me."
Kira said.
Seeing that Sheryl was about to lose it too.
Dirk Carter stretched out his hand.
And pulled her behind him.
He said, "Alright, let me handle this."
Sheryl was very obedient.
She immediately swallowed the words that were about to come out.
Dirk looked at Kira and said, "Miss Kira, you just said you're the top girl at The Empyrean Palace. As the top girl, shouldn't you have a bit of a top girl's magnanimity? Over such a trivial thing, hardly worth getting this mad, right?"
Kira's gaze swept over Dirk from head to toe.
She said, "I've never seen you before. Girls, have any of you?"
The other five or six women also gave him a once-over.
They each shook their heads and said, "Never seen him."
Kira asked, "Are you one of our Empyrean VIPs?"
"No."
"Then are you a guest of honor?"
"Still no."
Hearing that answer.
Kira gave a mocking laugh and said, "You're neither a VIP nor a guest of honor, what the hell are you pretending for in front of me? For the sake of you at least being a customer, I won't make it hard on you. Don't you fucking stir up trouble over some not-worth-it woman. Hurry up and get lost!"
He'd actually wanted to just smooth things over.
He hadn't expected this Kira to be so damn full of herself.
Probably because of the guy backing her.
Dirk nodded slightly.
He said, "Alright then, I really wasn't planning to get involved, but now I have no choice. As long as I'm standing here today, if anyone dares lay a finger on her, none of you are ever working at The Empyrean Palace again."
"Hahahaha…"
A burst of uproarious laughter rang out.
Kira pointed at herself and asked, "Do you even know who I am? Oh right, you probably don't. A loser like you would never get the chance to see me anyway. And you dare say we can't work here anymore? You believe it or not, if I just shout once, you'll be carried the hell out of here sideways?"
"Go on then, shout. Let me hear it."
Dirk said.
That completely infuriated Kira.
She pointed at Dirk, meaning "just you wait."
Then shouted, "Security! Where the hell are the security guards?"
The shout really worked.
In the corridor.
A man in a suit came running out at a trot.
As soon as he saw Kira, he immediately bent at the waist and said with a fawning smile, "Sis Kira, what can I do for you?"
She pointed at Dirk and Sheryl.
And said, "Call a few guys over. Beat the crap out of the man for me. Strip the woman's clothes off and throw her out on the street. I don't feel like wasting words on these two."
"Got it, Sis Kira."
After receiving the order, the guy in the suit.
Immediately pulled out his walkie-talkie and barked into it.
Footsteps came from all directions.
A dozen or so security guards rushed out from every corner.
They surrounded Dirk and Sheryl in the middle of the lobby.
As for Kira's group of women, they were laughing so hard they nearly doubled over. Clearly, they thought victory was already in the bag.
Dirk shook his head.
He said, "Kira, oh Kira, losing once isn't a big deal; your reputation's still there. But this time, you're going to lose completely. Over some Oiran title, you're about to throw yourself away. Really not worth it."
"Yo yo yo, you hear that? Listen to this guy's tone. My god, if you didn't know better, you'd think some big shot just showed up. Get him! If he ends up crippled, I, Kira, will take responsibility!"
After that sarcastic line.
Kira waved her hand.
The security guards were just about to charge in all aggressive.
Suddenly.
A furious shout came from the distance.
"Stop!"
Everyone was way too familiar with that voice.
They quickly turned their heads and saw that Basilio Sinclair had already arrived.
"Manager Basilio, you're here."
The head of security said meekly.
Basilio shot him a glare.
Then looked over at Dirk, who was surrounded in the middle.
He more or less got the picture.
"Manager Basilio, you came just in time. This filthy bitch, I don't even know where she picked up some stray man, and they humiliated me in front of everyone. Who am I? How am I supposed to swallow that? Manager Basilio, you've got to stand up for me."
Basilio was the public-facing decision-maker at The Empyrean Palace.
As soon as she saw him.
Kira's voice instantly turned syrupy.
She sashayed up and pressed herself against Basilio's side.
Hooking her arm through his.
She even deliberately rubbed her two big "white rabbits" against him.
"How do you want to handle this?"
Basilio didn't respond to her, instead he spoke straight to Dirk.
Kira obviously didn't think Dirk had that kind of pull; she assumed Basilio was asking her.
She hurriedly said, "The man? Just teach him a lesson. As for the woman, you decide. Anyway, I'm really pissed off."
"I'm asking him, not you."
Basilio suddenly said to Kira with a serious face.
Kira froze.
She didn't react for a moment.
Dirk casually pointed at the women who'd come out with Kira and said, "Manager Basilio, The Empyrean Palace prides itself on service. Generally speaking, if they offend a customer, what kind of punishment do they get?"
"Demotion at best, fired at worst."
Basilio said expressionlessly.
Dirk smiled slightly.
And asked, "So since they pissed me off, how do you think they should be dealt with?"
Basilio nodded.
He understood what Dirk meant.
He turned to the head of security and said, "Those few, tell them to pack up their things. They are never to appear at The Empyrean Palace again."
Bang!
The women all froze on the spot.
Fired?
How is that possible?
Over some guy who's not even a VIP?
They'd worked here for so long; it's not like they'd never offended customers before. Customers had ranks. Even if you deliberately offended a regular customer, you'd at most get a warning or two.
Now they were being directly kicked out?
You have to know, these women came to the nightlife scene for the money.
In all of Janton State, which club could compare to The Empyrean Palace in income?
Cold sweat beaded on all their foreheads.
They were starting to realize this was getting serious.
"Manager Basilio, you must be mistaken. He was clearly the one who started it, and he's not even a VIP. I'm at the Moonlight Dream level. If you handle it like this, not only will I be upset, I'm afraid Director Guo won't be happy either."
She was out of options.
Kira could only throw out the name of her backer to apply pressure.
