"How many people went?"
After mumbling, Jethro Houseman asked.
Elston Houseman said, "The message from over there is one person."
"One person... one person... Immediately notify the people in Elysia State to stop her from meeting old Donovan. If she resists, they can handle it at their discretion, even lock her up if needed."
Upon hearing this, Elston Houseman asked worriedly, "After all, she is the Donovan old man's precious treasure, we..."
Jethro Houseman naturally knew what his son was about to say.
He immediately raised his hand to stop the words that were about to follow.
He sneered and said, "Do as I say."
Right at that moment.
Elston Houseman's phone rang.
He pulled out his phone and put it to his ear. As soon as the voice on the other end finished speaking, he immediately said, "Another message, Dirk Carter has gone to Argentum."
A wicked smile appeared on Jethro Houseman's face as he said, "I thought Dirk Carter had some ingenious tricks, turns out he's just relying on his words."
"Should we intercept?"
"Of course we should. We ought to do something, otherwise, Dirk Carter really won't take us seriously. Let Elihu handle it, it's time he did something. Tell him that as long as Dirk Carter isn't dead, any means can be used."
Upon hearing this.
A smile appeared on Elston Houseman's face, and he immediately said, "Okay, Dad, I'll call him right away."
Just as he was about to turn and leave.
Jethro Houseman called out, "Wait a minute."
"Dad, is there anything else?"
"The Hughes Family and the Donovan Family are unreliable. If they turn against us at a critical moment, it will be our loss. We still have a few days; use their connections to develop our own people and ensure nothing goes wrong."
"You think things through so thoroughly, Dad. I'll arrange it immediately."
After saying this, Elston Houseman quickly left.
Around two-thirty in the afternoon.
The plane that Dirk Carter was on landed at Argentum Airport.
To ensure nothing went wrong, and given Boyd Linden's secret identity, Dirk Carter had him disguise as someone unacquainted with him, keeping a certain distance behind.
Once at the exit hall, Dirk Carter didn't rush out.
Instead, he found a corner and carefully observed the surroundings.
As expected, just as he anticipated, hidden among the crowd were indeed some odd glances, with sharp-eyed individuals scanning each passing face.
If nothing unexpected happens, these people are here to intercept him.
"What shall we do? We can't go out; they'll follow us once we do."
Pretending to rest, Boyd Linden said softly from behind Dirk Carter.
Dirk Carter pointed at a man in a black jacket and a baseball cap standing at the exit. He said, "Do you see that baseball cap? He's with the Houseman Family. In front of him is a woman; go to his side and surreptitiously smack that woman's butt."
Boyd Linden looked closely.
Sure enough.
Directly in front of the baseball cap stood a woman, holding a sign waiting for someone, craning her neck towards the exit.
The woman seemed to be in her twenties, dressed quite provocatively and quite attractive.
"You always have a thing for women, don't you?"
Boyd Linden asked disdainfully.
Dirk Carter chuckled, "As long as it solves the problem, what does it matter between men and women?"
To be honest, slapping a woman's butt like that wasn't something he would normally do.
But there was no other way now; he could only follow Dirk Carter's plan.
He boldly walked out of the exit.
Boyd Linden's face naturally wouldn't attract any attention.
After circling around, he came to the side of the baseball cap. The man was craning his neck as well, his attention caught on passing passengers, and he didn't notice Boyd Linden suddenly appearing beside him.
His gaze fixated on the lady's shapely backside.
Boyd Linden gritted his teeth.
He reached out and gave her a firm slap on the butt.
To maximize effect, he even gave it a squeeze.
Then,
he quickly withdrew his hand and pretended nothing happened.
The woman let out a scream.
She spun around to find the baseball cap guy right behind her.
In this situation, who else could it be but him?
The woman wasn't one to be trifled with.
She swung a slap straight onto the baseball cap guy's face and yelled, "Pervert, catch the pervert, catch the pervert…"
The man with the cap had a mission.
He didn't want to get entangled with such an unnecessary trouble.
He cursed, "Crazy," and tried to escape.
Trying to dodge like this only solidified the "assault" charges.
A justice-minded bystander grabbed his collar and shouted, "Damn, trying to run after assaulting someone? Stay put."
"Let me go!"
The cap man quickly tried to fend him off.
And so, they were shoving each other.
From a distance, the airport police noticed the commotion and rushed over, while onlookers, ignorant of the situation, gathered around, instantly making the exit chaotic and blocking the view of the Houseman Family's people.
Taking advantage of the chaos.
Dirk Carter lowered his head and mingled with the crowd, using the passengers as cover to successfully blend in and escape through the exit.
At the doorway,
Boyd Linden had already hailed a taxi.
Without saying a word, Dirk Carter got into the car.
As the vehicle slowly moved away,
some of the Houseman Family members rushed out, and from the rearview mirror, one could see them pointing at the taxi, clearly indicating some had caught sight of Dirk Carter.
"What do we do? This can't go on."
Boyd Linden in the front passenger seat turned back and said to Dirk Carter.
Indeed,
Dirk Carter could see the pursuers had already gotten into their cars.
In a short while, they would catch up to the taxi, making escape nearly impossible.
After a moment of thought.
Feigning curiosity, Dirk Carter asked the taxi driver concentrating on the road, "Driver, this is my first time in Argentum. Before coming here, I heard that Argentum taxi drivers are the best in all of Argentum. Seeing now, they're not even as good as those in the county."
The driver, a man in his forties, hearing this, was a bit indignant and said, "Hey buddy, what are you saying, comparing county drivers to us Argentum drivers? No contest! I just haven't let loose yet; if I do, even the police can't catch up."
Boyd Linden also saw through Dirk Carter's intention.
He immediately taunted, "Driver, come on, stop bragging. Look at how bad the traffic is on the airport route; how fast can you really go?"
"Hey kid, challenging me, huh? Alright, let me show you naive kids the prowess of a capital city taxi driver. Fasten your seatbelt and sit tight. Front Mountain Street? Others take an hour, but I'm not bragging; we'll make it in 40 minutes."
His little trick successful.
Dirk Carter added more "fuel to the fire."
He said, "Driver, if you get there in forty minutes, I'll pay double the fare, because I don't believe Argentum taxi drivers are that incredible."
