The plan itself was perfect.
But who could have thought that Gwendolyn Lewis would take all the responsibility upon herself, leading to the failure of such an exquisite plan.
Braddock Yarbrough confessed.
For Dirk Carter, it meant Gwendolyn was saved.
However, the evidence Braddock provided wasn't decisive.
In other words, it was very difficult to point a finger at Edgardo Houseman.
Nonetheless, this didn't matter.
There was still a day before Rasco Shaw took office.
Dirk Carter had prepared another grand scheme for him.
This was as Dirk focused his attention on Braddock Yarbrough.
In a hotel room somewhere in Veridia City.
A woman sat anxiously waiting.
She constantly checked her watch, looking quite impatient.
Knock knock knock.
The sound of knocking suddenly startled her.
She quickly walked to the door, glanced through the peephole.
There stood a man wearing a mask and a cap by the door.
Unable to see the face.
The woman felt uneasy, asking, "Who is it?"
The man outside simply replied, "It's me!"
A familiar voice.
The woman opened the door.
The man slipped inside instantly.
After the door closed, the man took off his mask, revealing himself to be Edgardo Houseman.
And as for the woman before him, it was none other than Liza Yuill, who had been undercover in Dirk Carter's household.
"Where's the stuff?"
Edgardo asked.
Liza turned around, reaching under the bed.
Then, a black plastic bag appeared in her hand.
Edgardo's eyes glowed with excitement.
He immediately reached out to take it.
Unexpectedly, Liza withdrew her hand, dodging him.
She extended her other hand, saying, "The task is over. Where's what you promised me?"
Edgardo paused.
He reached into his pocket.
Retrieving a small notebook and a bank card, he said, "This is your new identity and passport. This card holds ten million, your reward. You can take them and disappear."
They exchanged cash for goods.
Edgardo took the black plastic bag.
Quickly extracting its contents.
In his hand appeared the notebook that Dirk had Ewan Forrest safeguard.
The one left for him by Dylan Tate.
He skimmed through it briefly.
Edgardo was quite satisfied.
He placed it back into the plastic bag and tucked it into his clothes.
"What's your plan?"
Edgardo asked Liza.
Liza kissed the bank card, delightedly saying, "Our cooperation has ended, so where I go next is none of your business. You can't control me now."
"Alright, farewell then."
Edgardo nodded.
Turned and left.
Downstairs at the hotel.
Edgardo glanced back at Liza's room.
The light was still on.
Which meant Liza was still there.
He took out his phone, dialed a number, and said, "Got it."
Then hung up immediately.
As the car carrying Edgardo just left the hotel parking lot,
a black car parked in the corner had its doors suddenly open, with two individuals stepping out—one dressed exactly like Edgardo Houseman earlier, his attire a perfect replica.
The other wore a jacket and a cap, covering themselves thoroughly.
After alighting, they looked around.
Ensuring they weren't being watched.
Casually strolling into the hotel lobby.
Since it was already late at night.
The hotel reception was dozing off, so no one noticed these two enter.
They didn't take the elevator.
But entered the emergency stairwell directly; soon after, the man dressed identically to Edgardo stood at Liza's door.
Knock knock knock.
A knock on the door.
"Who is it?"
Liza's voice came through.
She peeked again through the peephole.
Seeing the familiar silhouette, just minutes apart, Liza thought nothing of it and opened the door, asking, "Are you…"
She meant to ask whether he had forgotten something.
But the words never made it out.
The newcomer suddenly acted, seizing Liza's throat and quickly pushing her inside.
The other person lurking by the door swiftly scanned around and entered, locking the door behind.
At this moment.
Liza was pinned against the wall, the intense suffocation making her struggle; she tried vainly to strike the one constricting her throat. Her limbs were too short, couldn't reach.
The other person.
Found the passport and bank card Edgardo had just given her on the bed, pocketing them again.
Then entered the bathroom, examined briefly, and turned on the bathtub's faucet.
The water began to fill the bathtub slowly.
The man holding Liza released his grip.
Cough cough cough…
The prolonged suffocation led to Liza's violent coughing.
She collapsed to the floor, momentarily speechless.
"Take off your clothes."
The man said coldly.
Liza sat coughing on the floor, ignoring him; the man patiently drew a knife, reached for Liza's neck, and said, "I'll say it again, strip off your clothes."
Liza wasn't one to embrace death.
Seeing the knife, she was terrified and at a loss.
She clumsily stood up.
Quickly.
Her clothes were removed, piece by piece.
Honestly, Liza's figure was rather impressive; except for the scar on her shoulder, every other part was quite perfect.
Her proud bust.
The regrown bush, meticulously trimmed by Dirk.
Her long, straight legs, which made the man beside her stare in awe.
Finally, he couldn't resist.
He approached the man with the knife, whispered in his ear, "Bro, isn't it a waste for such a beautiful girl to die? Why not let me try her; it won't make any difference."
The guy with the knife wasn't a good person either.
Liza's flushed body stirred something deep within him.
Hesitating for a moment, he nodded.
Waved the knife.
Said to Liza, "You, lie on the bed, spread your legs."
Liza was already frightened beyond recognition.
She dared not resist.
Trembling, she sat on the bed.
Lay down obediently, then spread her legs wide open.
She knew the water in the bathtub was meant to drown her; under the threat of death, her mind was blank.
"Who goes first?"
The man with the knife asked.
The other man pondered, then leered, "How about we both go at the same time?"
