Patricia Payne considers herself smart.
If Dirk Carter had just slept with her because of lust today,
she wouldn't have made such a firm decision.
Carrying a black plastic bag as she walked out of Dirk Carter's house, Patricia was already planning how to break ties with Blythe Meadows.
She knew very well that if she directly proposed breaking up with Blythe Meadows at this critical juncture, Blythe would definitely cause a scene, possibly leading to further complications.
So, she needed to devise a foolproof plan.
She casually hid the plastic bag in a corner of the yard.
Then pushed the door open and walked into the room.
Hearing the commotion, Blythe Meadows came out with some complaints: "Where did you go?"
"Oh, I went to the neighbor's yard to discuss the day after tomorrow's event with everyone."
Patricia played along.
Blythe Meadows frowned and asked, "Dressed like that?"
Patricia knew what he meant.
Sarcastically: "What's wrong? Are you tired of me?"
"What are you saying, let's eat, and after that, let's have another round..."
Blythe Meadows said lecherously.
At that moment, a plan suddenly formed in Patricia's mind.
After they quickly finished dinner.
Blythe was already impatient.
He didn't even wait for Patricia to wipe her mouth clean before hurriedly stripping her clothes and pushing her onto the bed.
Patricia pretended to resist a little.
Acting as if she was very unwilling.
But the already ignited Blythe Meadows couldn't care less, and swiftly had his way with Patricia.
A few minutes later, the battle was over.
Blythe Meadows lay on the bed snoring.
Patricia got up from the bed, went to the bathroom, deliberately tore her nightgown a little, then took out her phone, and directly dialed the police: "Officer, I want to report a rape..."
Seven or eight minutes later.
Police lights flashed brightly.
Sirens blared loudly.
Seven or eight officers rushed into the yard, and the supposedly panicked Patricia was immediately taken away, while the confused Blythe Meadows was directly dragged from the bed.
Facing the crowd of police officers, he thought Arlo Yarbrough had sent them...
From the window of the opposite house.
Dirk Carter held a teacup, watching with great interest.
Aziel Grant stood beside him.
Asked puzzledly, "Will this work?"
Dirk Carter sneered: "Rape is the most unclear charge. As long as a woman claims she was forced, it doesn't matter what the man says. After the two had sex, Patricia's body will surely have Blythe Meadows' fluids as evidence. Even if he jumped into The Yellow River, he couldn't clear his name."
"But didn't we give Patricia Payne three hundred thousand? Isn't the cost too high?"
Asked Aziel Grant.
Dirk Carter laughed.
Turned around and went into the house.
Then took out a stack of money from a suitcase and threw it in front of Aziel Grant, saying, "Check it out."
Aziel Grant was confused.
Opened the stack of money.
Held it up to the light and exclaimed, "Counterfeit money?"
Dirk Carter laughed and said, "I got it from the Brookfield Police Precinct, from counterfeit currency seized in a case."
Upon hearing this.
Aziel Grant then realized.
Murmured, "But it's still unsatisfying, Patricia Payne is the main culprit of the family disruption, without punishment it feels like something's missing."
Dirk Carter laughed again.
Patted the stack of counterfeit money.
Aziel Grant was stunned.
Suddenly it all clicked.
"You mean to make the money an issue?"
Dirk Carter nodded, saying, "Three hundred thousand in counterfeit currency, getting caught isn't a small matter. Anyway, she won't be able to find me then, that's also jumping into The Yellow River and not being able to clean up."
Seeing Dirk Carter's smug look, Aziel pursed his lips and said, "Fortunately, you're pretty decent, if you were corrupt, who knows how many wrongful cases there'd be?"
"For someone who's not absolutely wicked, I wouldn't use such dirty tactics. It's done, let's pack up and leave..."
Dirk Carter yawned and said.
Around midnight.
Patricia Payne walked out from the Brookfield Police Precinct.
The statement had been taken.
She steadfastly claimed Blythe Meadows raped her.
Now Blythe Meadows couldn't argue his point, since Patricia's body fluids were extracted as solid evidence.
Blythe Meadows never imagined.
The woman who had been with him for years would personally drag him into hell.
When the criminal detention procedures were completed.
He was constantly demanding to call his wife, claiming his brother-in-law was also an official.
But what use was that now?
A prison sentence was inevitable.
And Dora Yarbrough could use his detention as grounds for divorce.
The court would not only quickly approve the divorce but it's likely that upon his release, he couldn't win custody of the two children.
Elsewhere.
Patricia Payne hummed a tune as she returned to Serenity Lane.
First, she retrieved the black plastic bag from the corner of the yard, and seeing the money still there, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Then happily ran to the house where Dirk Carter was and knocked on the door.
Late at night, after knocking for a while, there was movement.
Unexpectedly, it was an old man who answered the door.
Patricia was puzzled, asking, "Sir, where's Mr. Carter who lives here?"
"Mr. Carter? Which Mr. Carter?"
The old man said, somewhat puzzled.
"The one who was here this afternoon, I even helped him fix a light bulb..."
Patricia explained.
The old man was stunned.
Said, "Oh, you mean this evening? There's no Mr. Carter. The electric company said our house had circuit safety hazards and wanted to do a full inspection, and arranged a few hours for me at a hotel. So I gave them the key, but as for the Mr. Carter you're talking about, I don't know him."
Patricia stood there dumbstruck.
Disregarding the old man's objections, she rushed into the house.
Searched inside and out, but saw no sign of the so-called "Mr. Carter."
What's going on?
Patricia was bewildered.
After all, she still had the three hundred thousand, which was no joke.
Since she couldn't find Mr. Carter, she felt she hadn't lost anything with the three hundred thousand.
Returned to her rented accommodation, clutched the black plastic bag, and slept soundly through the night.
Early the next morning.
She tidied up, ready to return to Kenton County.
After all, with the three hundred thousand, she had no immediate worries.
Boarded the return bus.
Just as she was about to leave Ronan City, police inspections occurred.
Then Patricia's three hundred thousand counterfeit bills were found.
And then, this unpardonably wicked woman disrupting family harmony was taken into custody.
With the Blythe Meadows incident resolved.
Arlo Yarbrough's worries were relieved.
Two days later.
At The Ronan Grand Hotel.
A rather modest wedding took place as scheduled.
Originally, Dirk Carter was supposed to organize the wedding for Arlo Yarbrough.
But Arlo wasn't willing.
