Chapter 628: Chapter 625: Telling Him After All

Clara Grant had originally planned to go home and see her mother, but in the end, she had the driver take her to Aegis Pictures instead.

She needed to discuss Poppy’s situation with Seth Quinn.

In Seth Quinn’s office, Clara Grant told him everything—how she had run into Poppy Vance the other day, and how she had visited her again today and discovered she was pregnant. "Seth," she finished, "what do you think we should do? Should we tell Brother Jennings?"

Seth Quinn thought for a moment before replying, "Since Poppy’s pregnant, this isn’t a small matter. I think we should tell Linden. Let them explain things and sort it out themselves."

Clara Grant nodded. She also felt it was best to tell Linden Jennings. After all, a single explanation from Linden Jennings himself would have more impact than anything she could say for him.

"Perfect timing. He’s at the company right now. I’ll call him and have him come over," Seth Quinn said, picking up his phone to call Linden Jennings.

After he hung up, Clara Grant asked, "Has Brother Jennings been coming to work lately?"

"Yeah. Ever since he and River got into that argument, he’s been back at work. I wouldn’t say he’s completely bounced back, but at least he’s not as dispirited as he was before."

"So he hasn’t been looking for Poppy recently? Has he given up on finding her?"

"No, he comes to work during office hours, but he continues searching after work or on his days off. Just the other day, River and I were worrying about when we’d ever find Poppy. I never expected you to tell me today that you found her."

As they were talking, there was a knock on the office door. Seth Quinn called out, "Come in." The door swung open, and Linden Jennings entered with River Sterling right behind him.

Seeing Clara Grant, River Sterling called out to her with a wide grin. Although Linden Jennings didn’t smile as warmly as he used to, he still quirked the corners of his lips. Clara greeted them both.

Then he looked at Seth Quinn and asked, "Seth, what did you call me here for?"

Seth Quinn first exchanged a look with Clara Grant, then looked at him and said, "Linden, it’s about Poppy. She’s been found."

Hearing this, Linden Jennings froze for a long moment before he finally processed the words. He strode over in a few quick steps and grabbed Seth’s arm. His lips trembled slightly, whether from excitement or something else. "You said you found Poppy? Where is she? Tell me, quickly."

"Clara ran into her on the street by chance. She’s living by herself here." Seth Quinn handed him the slip of paper with the address written on it.

Linden Jennings took it and glanced at the address, his brow furrowing. "She’s living *here*? This is one of the most remote parts of Novaria. It’s a rough area, and the crime rate is high..."

Clara Grant continued, "Brother Jennings, that’s another reason I had to tell you we found her. Poppy actually asked me not to tell you. But I’m really worried about her, a young woman living in a place like that all by herself. Especially since... she’s pregnant."

"Pregnant? Poppy’s pregnant?" Linden Jennings was stunned at first, then his shock gave way to excitement. "You’re saying Poppy is pregnant? With my child?"

Clara Grant nodded. "That’s why I decided to go against her wishes and tell you where she is. It’s for her own good, and for the good of the baby."

River Sterling, who was standing to the side, also looked overjoyed. He punched Linden Jennings playfully on the shoulder. "Linden, congratulations! Not only did you find Poppy, but you’re going to be a dad!"

Linden Jennings nodded repeatedly, his excitement palpable. He then turned to Clara Grant and thanked her sincerely. "Clara, thank you. Thank you so much. I... I’m going to go get Poppy and bring her back right now."

With that, he started walking out.

"Brother Jennings!" Clara Grant called out, stopping him.
