A Warm Marriage After Rebirth
Chapter 132: A Resounding Face Slap (Part 5)Chapter 132: Chapter 132: A Resounding Face Slap (Part 5)
Genevieve Churchill’s eyes were sparkling. ’Incredible! What a sharp tongue!’ Michelle Galloway had scorned Seraphina Sterling’s offer to help, pinning all her hopes on the Marshal, only to find out that Seraphina was the very person the Marshal had asked for assistance!
Sweet!
So sweet!
This was even more satisfying than winning a fight!
Genevieve Churchill gazed at Seraphina Sterling with pure admiration. It was the first time she had ever seen someone land such a powerful counterattack without even lifting a finger. ’I have to learn a thing or two from her when I get the chance!’
Michelle Galloway was so furious she could have coughed up blood, but she couldn’t manage a single word in rebuttal. All she could do was glare daggers at Seraphina Sterling and Genevieve Churchill.
"Seraphina Sterling, what are you so arrogant about? So you can brew tea, what’s the big deal? Michelle knows way more than you! She’s just being modest! That Simon was just nitpicking for no reason! Now is when Michelle will really get to shine!" Crystal Marshall chimed in, rushing to her friend’s defense.
"Even if Simon was just nitpicking, why didn’t he pick on Seraphina? Why go after Michelle Galloway specifically? That just proves Michelle’s performance wasn’t good enough!"
Genevieve wanted to keep going, but Seraphina pulled her back. "Since Miss Marshall has so much confidence in you," she said, addressing Michelle, "I’ll be looking forward to your next performance. However, the Marshal asked for my help *this* time. If you mess up again, it won’t matter who asks—I won’t be helping."
"Hmph! Just worry about yourself! What comes next is my real specialty. Brewing tea is just child’s play!" With that, Michelle Galloway walked away haughtily.
Genevieve glared fiercely at their retreating figures, indignant. "Seraphina, why were you so nice to them? People like that need to be taught a harsh lesson so they’ll remember it! Otherwise, they’ll just keep walking around with their noses in the air, looking down on everyone!"
Seraphina Sterling looked at the fuming Genevieve Churchill and smiled faintly. "What happened to your ladylike composure?"
It was as if her words flipped a switch. The fiery student from a moment ago vanished, instantly replaced by a demure young lady. "I just feel that someone as arrogant as Michelle Galloway deserves to be taught a lesson!" she said, her voice now soft and gentle.
"Relax. Do you really think I’m the type to suffer in silence?" Seraphina Sterling winked playfully. The gesture, combined with the dimples that appeared on her cheeks, made her look incredibly cute. It was in moments like these that she truly seemed like a seventeen-year-old high school student.
"I just love that devious side of yours!" Genevieve Churchill slung an arm around Seraphina Sterling’s shoulders, her eyes darting about mischievously. "We’re friends now, so... got a plan? Spill the beans, will you?"
Seraphina Sterling’s smile grew wider. "With those two? They walk around with their noses in the air and have tempers like firecrackers, ready to go off at the slightest provocation. Do you really think I need to do anything?"
Genevieve felt a thrill of pure delight. ’I’ve never met anyone I clicked with so perfectly!’ She never thought she’d get so much out of this winter camp!
The two exchanged a smile. Friendships are often forged just that quickly, that inexplicably. At their age, everything is purer; friendships are built on compatible personalities, not on family background or personal gain.
After the tea ceremony, the Galloway Family had also arranged for an antique appraisal session. In reality, Simon had only requested a jade appreciation, but the Galloways had taken some liberties with his request. This was a major reason why Miles Galloway had invited reporters to the event.
In the lounge, all the teachers and students from Sanford First High School participating in the event were gathered. Miles Galloway was there as well.
Principal Quentin Marshall looked worried. "Michelle, the upcoming antique presentation... there won’t be any more mishaps, will there?"
"Don’t worry, Principal. I’m fully prepared. There will absolutely be no problems!" Michelle Galloway declared, full of confidence.
