The girls arrived on the beaches of Tehom. Much to their delight, Serena wasn’t alone. A friendly face was taking a sip from her cocktail. A friendly face several times smaller than usual and with a pair of legs. Isha had been turned into a demon. She had kept her azure skin and flowing dark blue hair. Instead of the usual nothing she wore in her siren form, she had chosen a light sundress. She instantly bounced onto her hooves and towards the girls the moment she spotted them.
“It is so good to see you!”
“Isha! You look amazing.” Melody eyed the recently turned demon.
“You think so?”
“Absolutely.”
Isha smiled. “I’m still not used to this. Talking with air, walking on hooves, being this tiny… at least I can do this now.” She hugged Melody tightly. “This is the best thing ever.”
“It really is. Are you happy like this and can you still turn back into a big fish lady?”
Isha moved to hug all her friends. “I am very happy and yes, I can still be properly sized. I can be exactly like I used to, just in case the legs get annoying. Well, almost exactly… the orator told me that I sing with an accent now.”
Anne giggled. “A siren song with a demonic accent must be cute.”
“I hope so. At least the orator thinks it is. How was your trip anyway?”
Kuria was the last to be hugged but the first to answer. “It was a lovely change of pace. We got some fun things for you, do you have a place to stay yet?”
“I got a nice little hut on a cliff near Dis. I can jump into the water from the balcony in the back but I can’t get in from the sea easily. There is an architect I am meeting soon to find a permanent home but for now, I have my little hut.”
“That is good enough for now, good enough to have some things of your own. Anne?”
Anne nodded. “One of the things we got you should stay dry if possible. Something you can now enjoy that doesn’t feel the same under water. Has Serena shown you a plushie yet?”
Isha lit up. “Yes! They are so cute and soft. I love them.”
“One of the towns we visited as a legend about a ratcatcher. This town made rats their little mascot and we got you a basket of small plush rats.”
Kuria teleported the basked with the rats into her hands. “Here.”
Isha took great care petting each of the little rats. “I love them! Thank you so much.”
Anne smiled. “Kuria made sure they are enchanted with the usual protective and preservative magic. You can’t lose the little rats and they can never be damaged. We also got you a little shell of a blue mussel. Two, actually, one for you and one for Serena.”
“Those tiny little hard creatures? I saw them a few times but they are always so close to the shore. Another thing I can appreciate now that I couldn’t before. You are too thoughtful.”
Kuria handed Isha the mussel shell.
“It’s so shiny. Is it also enchanted?”
“With the usual. The shine is natural.”
“It’s so pretty. You need to tell me all about your journey later, now I have things to tell you. Come, join us.” Isha waved for the girls to follow her after she put the mussel into the basket of rats.
Serena greeted her friends with a series of hugs. “I missed you three. Did you have a good time?”
Melody nodded. “Oh yes, it was great. But it is also good to be back. I assume you two had some fun here too?”
“We had a little tour of Hell and… uhm… indulged in some local cultural… preferences.”
The girls glanced at each other knowingly. “How was it?”
“Well… I never had… before… and with a demon… a special kind of demon…”
Isha giggled. “It was great. There are some anatomical differences that were very fun to explore. Once I get used to this size more, I want to try being a demon-sized siren. You know, to let someone cute explore siren anatomy on a scale they can appreciate better.”
Anne grinned. “You took to this really quickly.”
“It’s the only logical step from how we… how sirens deal with sex. Romance and sex are separate for us… them, there was already a push for sex to be a thing you do for fun but it wasn’t as common. Embracing that idea is just logical and really enjoyable.”
“Well, I have a list of appointment for beings that need a first time. Once I made sure they had a good time, I wouldn’t say no to exploring a siren. One that is more demon sized.”
“That would be nice. I hope you can forgive if you’re not the first who gets to do some exploration.”
Anne shot Serena a playful glance. “Don’t worry, I know. You’re forgiven. I’m sure you had other exciting experiences here, not just in bed, right?”
“Oh yes. The food is incredible. Cooking opens up so many options and I have barely seen what is possible. And then there are cats. Oh the cats… they are THE reason to leave the water. Famine told me the one who followed me around is called Tiny and you know her?”
Melody chuckled. “Of course Tiny would follow you around. She was there when we first met.”
“Tiny is the little fluffy creature from back then? Aww, that is so cute. Tiny has been so sweet and adorable, napping beside me when I was just taking in the view from my new little home.”
“She has been the best companion anyone could hope for. When Kuria was part of me, we had nightmares every few days. I would wake up crying or just jolt up in bed trying not to cry. Tiny would be there every single time to calm me down. Makes me wonder… after all these years, Kuria, do you still…?”
Kuria nodded. “I still have those nightmares. It’s the reason I sleep so rarely.”
“Maybe we should do something about that. More Tiny?”
“I will be fine. There are other things to focus on now, good and bad things.”
“Alright, but I will nudge you to get help once things quiet down again.”
Kuria sighed. “Sure. But I insist we focus on the good things today.”
“Alright. How about a nice plan for dinner? It’s almost time.”
Serena nodded eagerly. “Yes please, I am getting quite hungry.”
“We have all of Hell to pick from, is there anything you two would like to try?”
“I am open to anything. Isha?”
Isha took a moment to ponder. “We had a lot of good meat and vegetables, sauces are great too, but there is one thing I am really interested in.”
Melody raised an eyebrow. “Let me guess. Soup.”
“Soup. And stew, yes. Liquid food is such a weird idea and I really want to try that.”
“Then I know what to get you.”
“Let’s finish our drinks and then you take us to your favourite soup chef.”
“Take your time. What drinks did you even get?”
Isha eyed her tall glass. “Something with fruit, I honestly don’t really know. This entire thing is so foreign to me.”
Serena giggled. “It’s the demon version of a tequila sunrise according to the lovely spider lady who made these, just with a lot less alcohol.”
Melody looked suitable impressed. “I love that one, it’s super delicious. What did you get?”
“Something called a riverbed. Looks horrible but tastes so good.”
“Yea, the one that looks like you just got served a glass of mud.”
“Mud that tastes like chocolate and raspberries, it’s really nice actually.”
“Absolutely.”
“That sounds like you go out for drinks in Hell quite often.”
Melody nodded. “We do, usually after a longer thing here and some nice dinner. It’s such a good way to end a day.”
“I can imagine. Not that I want today to end… I just want to stay here with you forever.”
“Soon, soon you will get stick around for eternity.”
“There is so much I want to say but Kuria is right, today we focus on the good things.”
