He looked at the man and did not give him a second look.
He just continued eating, not truly caring about the man.
The giant man looked with anger in his eyes and loudly proclaimed, "You dare not answer me? I’ll show you what a real man can do."
Li Jiwen rolled back his eyes, and he noticed the aura of the man in front of him.
This was a powerful person of the middle stage of the Nascent Soul realm, and he looked like he was not truly someone that you could reason with.
Li Jiwen got up from his chair and said loudly and clearly, "Well, you don’t actually do this in such a place. I will show you what exactly I can do now."
He got out a sword and came closer to the man with one step.
With a swift motion of his blade, he cut off the man’s head, not really caring about anything.
The head rolled into the air and then fell to the ground.
The people were stunned, looking at Li Jiwen and the man, and the head that was rolling on the ground and the blood splattering out of the neck hole.
Li Jiwen did not give them a second look or explain anything.
He did not need to explain anything.
The powerful man did not care about what little people thought of him.
He decided that he was going to keep eating and drinking and not really care about what they thought.
He quickly went back to his own chair and just sat, not giving a second look to the people or explaining anything.
The people looked at him and looked at the head and the bloodied corpse that fell to the ground with a loud thud.
No one dared say anything.
The innkeeper just looked at Li Jiwen with an interesting eye.
He nodded and shook his hand to one of the busboys, and the scene was cleaned in a couple of minutes quickly.
The already existing people within the inn looked at Li Jiwen with fright in their eyes.
This was a person that truly could kill a cultivator of the Nascent Soul realm this easily.
This was a person they should not go against at all.
This was a person that brought on death.
All of them looked at him with fear in their eyes, and some even thought about coming closer to him and saying anything or trying to actually persuade him into something.
Li Jiwen did not care in the slightest.
He had seen people trying to suck up to him many times, and he did not care in the slightest about all of that.
The weak followed the strong and the strong led.
Nothing had been said anything other than that, and if he wished, he could kill all of them just to silence them.
Li Jiwen understood that by showing power, as well as humility at the very same time, a person could wield the powers of the stick and carrot and the actual roles of people and the society of existence itself.
This was exactly why Li Jiwen was a master of thought and a master of his own will as well.
He finished his eating in about half an hour and then just looked at the people and moved to the stairs.
The people moved from side to side just to get out of his way.
Li Jiwen went into his room and just sat there looking at now and took in the scenery of the room.
It was simple with a bed, a chair, and a table, and nothing else.
He did not care too much about how lavish it looked. The only thing that he cared about truly was how comfortable it was.
He understood that now the most important point was that he himself would need to understand the matter and understand how he could be much more comfortable in this place.
He thought, ’That man, most importantly, will have some powerful people behind him. Yeah, the other powerful people as well, they come together. And weak people come closer to all of them.’
’Now, the most important point is that I need to see if he actually has any person of power behind him. Other than that, it would probably be a bloodbath, and that is something I do not truly want to achieve at the moment. It would be a pain in the ass to be more precise.’
Li Jiwen did not like the thought that he would be hunted by hundreds of cultivators.
The mere thought of that made him feel like he did not actually need to do anything other than staying in a wrong place and waiting for them.
It was either fight them and kill them instantly, or actually wait and bait them into his own powers and his own domain.
That way he could defeat them and utterly destroy them once and for all.
This was what power brought, and that exactly was why Li Jiwen was such a powerful cultivator in this world.
He was ruthless and he was smart.
He looked at the ceiling and closed his eyes as he stretched out his own senses and his own powers.
He wanted to see if any person would take the bait.
He was waiting until night fell.
Finally, he decided that he would close his eyes and just seek a bit of rest.
But as well, do what he was doing originally.
He waited and waited, but nothing came.
He muttered as he opened his eyes, as it was already sunrise, "That’s weird.."
"I thought that such a powerful person would have other people that are powerful by his side. And to think that people of such a calibre would not come together. That means one thing: he was so hateful and so disgusting and alone that no other powerful person would want to come close to him even."
"Well, that’s quite tragic to think about it."
Li Jiwen understood that such a person of powers and such existence would need at least five or ten people by his side that would be powerful enough or even slightly on his own power level or closer.
But weirdly enough, it was not.
That made him think even more about what exactly was happening.
He felt something weird happening and he did not like it.
But whether this was something that he actually liked or not was nothing of importance.
The only thing of importance was that he needed to get rid of any person that would come.
And as if the world itself had answered Li Jiwen, suddenly a sword of golden light crashed through the window and entered, wanting to cut off his head entirely.
He just coughed and moved his hand out and caught it with one hand and said, "Well, it finally came, I guess."
