The Changdu Space was something of great importance to Li Jiwen.
He did not even hesitate and took the money from Fang Liu.
Finally, the presenter said, as he looked at the room where Li Jiwen and Fang Liu were, "Well, then, fellow Taoist, it is yours."
He smiled slowly and said, "Now, with the most important, I think, of all, and the final item of our today’s auction, which is none other than the Sword of the Fallen Sun!"
The people around looked at him with some kind of disbelief and total shock.
That sword was lost and had disappeared for thousands of years now.
How the hell did they find it, even with their own powers so great and so vast it was hard!
Li Jiwen himself understood that he himself, if he did not know that they had found it, would be exactly the same surprise on his face.
He thought, ’That’s interesting, but I don’t really need it. The world would just reset after 8 years if I did not stop the heavenly calamity...’
’So what is the meaning of anything or any sword that I will get in this life? That does not actually help me in the next life. None of that is truly important. The only important thing is things that will help me in other lives as well, very meaningful things or things that can actually regress with me again through time.’
Li Jiwen looked at Fang Liu and said, "Fellow Taoist, why do you think people fight over this thing?"
Fang Liu smiled at himself and said, "Probably just because of its own aura and its own remembrance through the world and history itself. Although it is not a great sword, it’s still viable, I guess."
As both of them continued to talk about the sword, outside, the auction was rushing with people.
Every person was fighting over the sword, whether it be great perfection stage cultivators or cultivators of the Soul Transformation realm.
They were fighting nonstop.
The sword could help any one of them.
But all of them did not know that the heavenly calamity would come and destroy all their hopes and greatness and advances.
A Soul Transformation cultivator can live for 500 years.
But what does that even mean if a person that lives 500 years can’t even pass the heavenly calamity or even survive?
They can’t even stop the heavenly calamity or even think about stopping in the slightest.
That was the difference between them, Li Jiwen knew.
Li Jiwen could come back to life in a new timeline, but all of them were just going to die in this timeline.
That was the truth that Li Jiwen had.
He thought as he looked at Fang Liu with an eye of interest.
’This man is truly interesting. If he has some way to come back to life and actually go back in time like me, then that would mean something.’
’If he does not, and he only has a great background and would do something in the calamity’s rise, then that would also make sense.’
’I feel that he’s older and his own essence is so much different than anything that I had ever seen before. That is what is making me fearful of his own existence.’
’If not that, then indeed the fearful existence, that is in his background at the moment. If a person truly knew that a little sword that was so powerful that the entirety of the province would fight over it, and he did not even care about it in the slightest, then a background of such existence would be so powerful and so insane, that it would actually benefit of knowing him.’
’I could feel that he, as well, feels something about me and feels something about my own essence as well.’
That was the great point for cultivators, and great point of people of great fate.
He knew that fate and actual luck in this world was something of tangible distance and exactly something that can be touched and used and manipulated and even strengthened or weakened.
That was the point that he understood through the year or so that he has been here and through the resources he had already gathered from all the cultivators that he had met and stolen from.
He understood the greatness of fate and luck.
Those who can use it or actually sense it in the slightest way, meaning that there are people of great existences and great paths as well.
That was the point of all things.
If a person truly can manipulate fate or luck or whatever, then they would be so powerful and so eager to exist in the cosmos now that they would be so different and so powerful and so dangerous to the world and the heavenly path and the Dao itself would fight them entirely.
That was what Li Jiwen was fearful of exactly.
He knew that if he was going to fight the entirety of the Dao itself with his own hands and without even a help from anyone, then that would mean death.
Finally, as he was thinking, and Fang Liu thought about his own matters as well, the auction concluded.
The presenter said, "The final item goes to the fellow Taoist within room number one for three million middle grade spiritual stones. Congratulations!"
"And we wish you great luck for the rest of the fellow cultivators that we have here."
"Now, I wish that there would be no fighting until you indeed leave the auction house, if that is possible, fellow cultivators and fellow Taoists. And if that is not possible and anyone tries to do something funny, then their end would be at the auction house’s own methods..."
"Understood!"
All the people understood.
This was a clear understanding of what they would do when they got out.
All of them knew exactly that if they truly fought inside the auction house, then they would get ended, as they call it, and they would get destroyed completely and naturally by the powers of the militants of the auction house.
They knew how powerful this auction house was.
It was not only in this province, it was in the entire world.
This was just a normal backwater branch of them.
So it was not too important if they actually killed some cultivators of the great Perfection Stage or even in Soul Transformation realm.
The existence of the old man and the presenter himself was enough.
Fang Liu did not get anything out in this auction.
Fang Liu just smiled at him and said, "I don’t need to do anything of this. I was just here because a fateful encounter I felt was going into fruition, and I think you are the fortunate encounter."
Li Jiwen smiled and said, "Indeed, fellow Taoist. Indeed. Fate truly works in mysterious ways."
