He knew that this would probably work.
Even as he thought so, he was still at the same level of battle prowess as before, still having a lesser cultivation.
But he was sure that Fang Zun would not be able to discover something of the Primordial Saint level, such as the Blood Parasite of Gou.
That was the reason why he chose to do what he was doing at the moment and as well the easiest way for him to actually get to know how to defeat Fang Zun and take his own powers and system if there were any.
He knew exactly what he was doing, and knew exactly that what he was doing was the right thing, if he wanted to actually know exactly what Fang Zun’s own ability was and how to use it and how to get it into his own hands.
Then he would not even be blind, and he knew that through his own ways, he would not be able to do so, and alone through the powers of being in Fang Zun’s own mind and getting into it could he truly see.
That was the only way for him to do so.
He began to do that and decided that he would be a parasite in this life.
He would not do anything or actually try to resist Fang Zun.
He would let him kill him and turn into a parasite.
After that, he did not do much. He sat on the bed and he was waiting.
Then things played out the same.
He got accused of treason.
Then he was taken into the city by the guards of the city lord’s palace.
Then he was taken away to the prison cell.
There he just waited.
He did not move. He did not fight. He did not do anything. He was just sitting there.
Finally, Fang Zun appeared in front of him.
It was the old man that looked like a peaceful grandpa again.
Fang Zun said, "Hand it over."
Li Jiwen said, "Come and get it."
Then finally, he did not hesitate.
He began to charge his own powers of annihilation, then he turned into a literal bomb that even a cultivator as powerful as Fang Zun would not be able to stop without getting harmed.
But at the very same time, he used the blood parasite technique.
He used it without Fang Zun even noticing, getting into his own body and soul and existence.
At the very same time, the annihilation powers enveloped the entirety of the continent, and no one survived other than Fang Zun.
Blazing fires of darkness engulfed the world, as screams echoed then died just as quickly as they began.
Fang Zun appeared in the air, looking like he had already been through much. His own body was bloody and his spirits not peaceful as before.
He said, "This fucker, he did it again. Well, I guess we will try in the next life as well."
Then he disappeared.
Fang Zun was not a kid or a young man that would get pressed or angry by a simple thing like this. He had lived for a billion years at least in one timeline, so another ten years was but a fleeting second.
He laughed at his own knowledge of others, as he had as well a system.
But what system? We will see.
Fang Zun appeared in his study room, and he said as he changed his clothes that were almost tattered to nothing.
He suddenly looked around, then he thought, ’Well now, I guess this young man is much more harder to take on than before. He even got powers of annihilation, but that is nothing in the face of actual power. Even if it was the powers of annihilation, I still survived.’
Fang Zun was no normal cultivator of the Heavenly Immortal realm, and he knew his powers exactly.
If he was in danger, he would have already fled before anything had happened.
Finally, he just sat and closed his eyes, beginning to heal his own existence again.
The positive thing at least, although the attack did not kill him, it had injured him much, and they needed to be cleaned and healed or they will have a long lasting effect that he would not like to see.
Fang Zun had never expected that Li Jiwen, that simple and easy to manipulate young man, would actually make this choice and decide such a painful decision to use annihilation on himself.
He understood just how powerful annihilation powers were and how different and painful they were at the same time.
He understood just how powerful one’s willpower must be if they wanted to actually use that kind of power and that kind of might on themselves.
That made him fearful of Li Jiwen for the first time ever.
He realized that the kid that he had already thought of as a minuscule problem and a minuscule enemy would be such a thorn in the side like that.
He had never imagined such a thing, but that did not change much his mind about Li Jiwen.
’Li Jiwen was still a young man, inexperienced, and too weak,’ he thought.
’Although he hasn’t experienced much, he still has some kind of willpower that is even on the same level as me and these old beasts that are hidden in this world.’
Even if he thought about it a hundred times, that power of annihilation could not even be faced by a Grand Immortal.
Such power and such immense existence and useful power of will was something that is indeed admirable and actually likable about that existence.
Fang Zun indeed envied him for his will.
But as well, he thought about how exactly he had faced in the life before going into this world that already made him do such a thing and have such a powerful willpower as well.
As a parasite, Li Jiwen found Fang Zun’s thoughts weird, and he did not say much in his mind.
He was just observing.
He would observe for the next ten years until the heavenly calamity fell.
And as he watched, Fang Zun finally began to heal.
He understood just how powerful the powers of annihilation were, and if he let them be, he would be killed slowly and painfully.
