"He ranked up!" Leo exclaimed as he realised the druid had become a High 3-star before raising his hand to stop him.
"Wait, these beasts are your new companions, not intruders. Greet them," Leo said as Bigfoot skidded to a halt.
Bigfoot assessed Agnivar and Ashira before completely locking onto Agnivar, who was the most threatening, being 2 minor realms higher than himself.
But even though Agnivar seemed to be a Pseudo 4-star, others couldn't sense the 50% stat boost from his lesser draconic traits. In other words, Agnivar effectively possessed the strength of a Low 4-star and would easily defeat Bigfoot, not to mention being a fire-affinity beast; he had a natural advantage against the forest druid.
"Guguh..."
After merely narrowing his eyes and muttering something, Bigfoot turned back to return to his place.
Swwwoossshh...
Something suddenly came from the sky.
Leo looked up to see a spirit Thunderveil Skyreaver descending into the territory. On its back lay Kaelion, looking completely exhausted.
Even in his tired state, he noticed the two Wyverns, and his gaze sharpened.
"He tamed a Wyvern...?" Kaelion muttered before letting out a sigh.
"I should forget about catching up to him."
Kaelion had already thought long about it and came to the conclusion that Leo's talent was simply unbeatable and that he could never catch up to him—not when his soul was so badly degraded.
Brant had also told him that just 3 months ago, Leo had only been at Peak 2-star strength, and now he was already at Mid 4-star. This level of progress was simply absurd.
As he descended, he sensed something else.
"Now he is sitting at the cusp of Peak 4-star... great."
After landing, he exchanged a brief greeting. Once he had taken a proper look at the Wyverns, he went to rest until it was time for the mandatory class.
But it was not only Kaelion who was amazed.
"He reached the cusp of Low 4-star? What the heck? Didn't he say his soul was damaged?"
Leo was amazed that someone with a damaged soul could make such rapid progress.
But what Leo didn't know was that 95% of the credit went to him. The Elasian Bloom petals had been nothing short of a miracle for Kaelion.
And Leo knew Kaelion was grateful for it; he just didn't know how to express that gratitude.
After the Wyverns went on their way, Lily and Leo took a tour of the territory together to see what changes had occurred.
The first thing Leo wanted to see was the mana-enriching treasures he had told the elves to collect. He had already started to notice the exponential increase in mana density as he approached the centre of the territory.
Sylrael already seemed to be tending to those treasures when they arrived, but another couple was also present.
Thalvyr and Zharrissa.
Zharrissa appeared to be unconscious as she lay on a bed made of grass, and her body emitted a faint yellow glow, making it apparent that Thalvyr had fed her the [Earthpulse Heartcore].
It was Lily's first time seeing Zharrissa, and she couldn't help but be amazed at how beautiful she looked.
"Who is she?" she asked as they walked closer.
"She is Zharrissa, Thalvyr's wife. Looks like you didn't see his family, but he has two kids. One has grown up, and the other is still a kid."
Lily was pleased to hear that.
"Good that you brought someone with a family. It's a fact that if someone's family is dedicated to a territory, it's nearly impossible for them to betray it if they are treated well. Especially people with a warrior mindset." She looked toward the couple.
"And they even seem to be very strong."
When they drew closer, Thalvyr bowed and greeted them.
"My Lord, My Lady, good morning."
"Good morning. Was the treasure sufficient? Or do you need anything else to help her recover?" Leo asked.
"My Lord, it's more than enough. She should return to her peak condition in a few hours. Thank you very much for your grace."
Leo frowned.
"What exactly happened?"
Leo then gave Lily a brief gist of Zharrissa's situation.
"So sad..." Lily murmured, looking toward Thalvyr with newfound respect.
"Thalvyr, you are a good man. From now on, your family's security is not your sole responsibility; you can share that burden with us. And yes, the only concern you have from now on is how much you dedicate yourself to the territory, and then you will automatically receive all the benefits," she said with a smile.
Thalvyr remained silent for a moment before responding.
"My Lady, you can count on me. I will do my best to support the territory in any way possible."
Lily nodded.
"Your house will be built soon. Until then, you can live in any of the empty sheds."
After that, Leo and Lily started to walk over to Sylrael as they talked.
"Leo, do you have any idea how we could implement a system similar to the Academy's salary system? I mean, people who are coming from outside the territory, especially the elves and the lizardmen, and finally, when we bring in Brother James and Sister Sera along with other foreign people, they will be our responsibility."
Leo shook his head.
"I don't have any ideas related to that. I'll need to observe some already established territories first."
"No, I am not saying you should do it," Lily replied.
"Since you don't know any, I can study them and do it all." She looked at him proudly.
"I know I cannot be of much use in fighting alongside you, so allow me to take these types of burdens off your shoulders."
Leo chuckled and placed his hand on her head. Since he had grown considerably taller, it was much easier for him to do so.
"You know, you sound very cute when you talk like that. Alright, you can do whatever you want. Just so you know, you might have a bit less strength than mine, but it doesn't mean you are weak."
"Hmph! Don't think I am useless," she huffed, a faint blush spreading across her cheeks as she felt Leo's hand resting on her head. She didn't even try to swat his hand away this time.
Leo withdrew his hand as he recalled something.
"Did Brother James or Sister Sera reply to the letter you sent? What's their condition?"
