Absolute Loser Becomes The Pleasure King Using Satan System
Chapter 23.The white legless lady-2Chapter 23: 23.The white legless lady-2
"By bastard, do you mean that man in the black hood?"
Mylo asked the white, legless lady. Her silver-white hair cascaded past her waist, a waist stretched and taut after hanging there for who knows how long.
"...Yes." Her serene voice reached his ears.
Both of her hands were bound by the heavy iron chains she hung from. Looking at her thin body, she seemed almost weightless.
Yet, in this condition, she was asking for his help to kill the very man who had slaughtered numerous Vexfang right in front of him.
Does she think I’m someone strong?
He could more or less understand why she would make such a proposal.
Looking at her, she must have been tortured by that lunatic for a very long time. Now that she finally saw another living soul, she desperately proposed to kill her tormentor.
But I’m not the one who can save you, lady.
Mylo brought his hand to his face and rested his tired head on it. His body was still aching, but the metal fatigue the one dominating.
This has been such an exhausting journey. First, I was attacked by those weird monsters, and now I am captured by some lunatic.
Really... Is becoming residence of Narak so hard..?
This damn system hasn’t even given me any clear quest!
How am I supposed to become a resident of Narak?!
Just then a bloody red screen materialised, it’s deep red glow standing out clearly from the environment of cave. Of course Mylo was the only one who could see it.
....
[NOTIFICATION]
You have already received the help by being transported near high fate dominance.
This is the best place for you to become the resident of Narak.
If you have the skills for it.
.....
...This Satan system...is it making fun of me...?
No wait! Why does it feel like it’s talking with me...? It’s a system so it should only give me mechanical responses.
Before he could dive further in the deep whole of overthinking, the low sound of white lady taking in a deep breath bought him back to reality.
Instead of normal breathing, her’s appeared to be delayed by many times, as if the time moved differently under her beautiful presence.
Right... I’m in a cage... captured by a lunatic...a strong lunatic at that... let’s focus on this reality for now.
He took a deep breath, rubbing his face and combing back his hair, which was disheveled after all his struggles.
Now, how much should I tell this lady about myself?
She was a strange lady to him. In that world, which didn’t seem to have any color other than red or black, she was somehow emitting a white glow.
"I don’t know what you think about my power level, but I for sure cannot beat that lunatic," Mylo said as he leaned back in his cage.
The iron cage was barely large enough to lie down in a crouched position.
"I did not mean that," her charred lips parted. "I only need you... to help me."
"And how exactly?"
"I have stored up enough Pran. Pran that can even kill him. But he is so cautious. If I don’t use it at the right time, then it will have little effect."
Toward the end, her voice started to crack, as if her throat was completely dry from speaking this much.
That’s... isn’t that a bit suspicious?
"If you can kill him, then I think you would have done that already. I don’t think you need someone else to create a special opening. You should have already gotten chances. How long have you even been here?"
Mylo wasn’t going to believe her easily. In a place where he knew nothing, it was better to be cautious, even against someone who was already chained.
I’ve watched enough movies where the person in misery turns out to be the real bad guy. Especially when they claim to have some special power.
The lady radiating the divine white glow looked at him as if she were tired to her very bones.
"You ask a lot of questions."
Her voice was still dry, but Mylo flinched.
It was a strange feeling, as if his skin wanted to run away from him, while his heart wanted to break free and run toward her.
W-what is this feeling...?
"I have been here. For more than ten years. I stopped counting after that. That bastard was fired from his teaching post. So he stopped following a fixed schedule."
Despite the strange sensation Mylo was experiencing, the lady answered him clearly, her voice maintaining the same dry, raspy tone.
"I had a few more chances in the past. But another prisoner tried to escape. My Pran was not enough, so I didn’t do anything."
She took a breath before continuing, "But that bastard got more cautious. And made a barrier around the cave. Since then, it has been hard for me. To find the perfect chance."
Hearing her sincere answer, Mylo forced himself to focus and ignore his strange experience.
After thinking for a moment, he asked her again, "You’re chained up here, yet you still know so much. Is this some sort of ability of yours?"
She shouldn’t be aware of whether he taught somewhere, or especially that he set up a barrier.
Why would he tell any of this to her in the first place?
"He rambles a lot," she said. "When he gets excited. About his work. About his fallen family. About his ambition to revive his family."
Her voice dried up again toward the end.
I see. That lunatic belongs to some sort of fallen family-Wait!!
There are things like families here?!
He teaches, so there’s also some sort of public system?!
Just where am I?!
He looked at the white lady, wondering how much he should trust her.
I really only have reasons to trust her. Okay, maybe not that many reasons, but still, it’s better to trust her, for practicality and for my mental health.
"To tell you the truth... I’m not from here. I really don’t know anything about what is happening here. It might be very confusing to you, but the place I’m from is a completely different world than this, with completely different logic."
He explained himself, trying to be as clear as possible. But to his surprise, he didn’t notice any shock on her face. Instead, she simply gave a nod.
"I know. That is why I asked you. We are different, but we share the same origin. What is your name?"
For the second time, she asked him a question.
Mylo’s mind was almost going blank, but her question brought him back.
"I... I’m Mylo Zane."
Even though he answered slowly, his tongue felt a strange sense of satisfaction, as if uttering his name to her was the sole reason for its existence.
"I am Meena. I asked for your aid. Because he is currently excited. About finding a living human. There is a concept of life here too, but. He knows that you are from Earth."
She stopped and took another deep breath, this time even deeper as her chest rose up.
"I haven’t spoken... this much since I arrived here. Take your time to think. I can wait more."
Her voice was as dry as ever, yet her words felt rushed.
"If you help. You will also benefit. He will not leave. You alive for long. Decide... and ask fewer questions. What I need from you. Is to create an opportunity. For me when that bastard has his guard down."
Her voice trailed off, and her head dropped as if she had fallen into a deep sleep.
Mylo was left speechless, with a lot to process.
