Chapter 96.Reason for burning hunger in heart-4Chapter 96: 96.Reason for burning hunger in heart-4
Vanessa, the girlfriend of Braden. She is egoistic, spoiled and doesn’t care about others. Her focus on just creating fun for herself.
After Braden had left college in my previous life, she had kind of disappeared from my life.
But soon I started spotting her with Aldoff. But I never was interested in anything so I never tried to find out anything.
Mylo’s thought was cut short as a flurry of kicks came rushing in. He watched her in mild disbelief.
It almost looked like she was dancing on her hands, maneuvering her body fluidly, sending continuous, acrobatic strikes toward him. Mylo stared, temporarily mesmerized by the rhythm.
I never knew she was this skilled... Heh can’t belive she is stepping up for her boyfriend...how cute, you have surely surprised me, Vanessa.
His eyes caught her tight clothing, the way her body fat around hip and chest and bounced with the momentum of her high kicks, her hair whipping wildly through the air, and the fierce, nasty expression on her face.
Mylo licked his lips but suddenly found himself clicking his tounge, he shook his head in annoyance, instantly snapping his trail of thought back to reality.
Shit! Isn’t my situation getting bad!
Even after taking a few direct hits, he barely felt any pain. Her attack power was far too weak to do real damage.
Instead of stepping back, Mylo dashed straight forward, completely stunning Vanessa.
He slipped right under her raised leg and clamped his hand around her thigh.
"Ann!"
Vanessa cried out as the crushing grip bit into her muscle. Before she could recover, Mylo drove a sharp knee into her stomach and slammed her onto the hard asphalt.
’’Ahn! Haah...hah...’’
She coughed violently, gasping for air.
Before she could even look up, Mylo was already looming over her. He clamped his hand tightly around her throat and lifted her straight up into the air.
’’Hmn! Hm! Hhn!’’
Her expression hadn’t changed, it was a mix of intense pain and burning anger.
Mylo raised his free fist to strike, but Braden suddenly threw his battered body forward in a desperate attempt to shove him off.
’’Leave her alone!!’’
’’You don’t learn do you, Braden?’’
Mylo pivoted effortlessly, dodging Braden’s tackle before kicking him hard behind the knees once again. Braden collapsed back to the ground with a thud.
Mylo stepped forward, planting his boot firmly on Braden’s chest before looking down to lock eyes with him.
Then, his gaze shifted toward Shyle.
"Do you have a surprise for me too? If you want a turn, come on."
Shyle let out a terrified shriek and scrambled backward on the dirt, shivering violently to make it clear she wouldn’t attack.
Mylo turned his attention back to Braden.
"You know, when I first came out of the forest and saw you, I was surprised. Can you guess why?"
Braden had no energy left to answer, only managing ragged, weak breaths.
"It was because I didn’t feel a single trace of fear," Mylo continued softly, almost mumbling to himself. "I genuinely wondered if something was wrong with me. But... there was nothing to ever worry about from the very beginning."
Mylo let out a deep, quiet sigh. Looking at Vanessa, he felt a certain compulsion to keep her to himself. Narrowing his eyes, Mylo stared at her.
He released his grip on Vanessa, letting her drop heavily to the ground. Then, he lifted his boot off Braden’s chest.
"We’re done, Braden. From now on, there’s nothing left between us. Not for you, and not for me."
The pleasure that my heart wants... I can’t get from Braden, no matter what I do...
Suddenly, Mylo crouched down.
He grabbed Braden by the hair and yanked his face inches away from his own.
"But let me make one thing crystal clear to you," Mylo whispered, his voice steady, "I do not work for your brother, Aldoff."
All he got in response was Braden’s stuttering, shallow breathing.
"In fact... I’m going to take him down."
Braden’s eyes widened slightly.
"And not just him," Mylo added, practically chewing on every word. "The Dragon that works with him... and then your father. I will tear down every single one of them."
’’-!!!’’
Mylo released his hair and stood up, rolling his shoulders back in a relaxed motion.
He glanced around the area. There was no one else left. Peter was slowly trying to push himself up, no longer completely knocked out. Shyle remained curled on the dirt, trembling in absolute terror.
As Mylo looked over at her, she flinched and covered her face.
"Oh, come on. Don’t act like that," Mylo gave her a brief wink. "I can be far gentler than you think."
He turned his back on them and began to walk away.
His pace was steady, neither too slow nor too fast. The heavy boots he had taken from the lunatic struck the pavement, the rhythmic thudding growing quieter and quieter as he disappeared down the road.
Behind him, Braden lay broken on the asphalt.
His face was battered, bloodied, and covered in deep bruises, his entire body screaming in pain. He simply stared up at the morning sky, watching it turn so blindingly bright that he could no longer keep his eyes open.
After a few minutes, he felt a nudge.
Opening his eyes, he saw Vanessa offering him a hand. Her messy hair cascading her face, it sone bright golden in sunlight. He chuckled to himself, taking her support as he stood up.
"Bastard... He was just messing with us!"
Peter was also standing, cursing as he clutched his stomach.
"Braden, let’s call our whole group. We will fucking kill him for sure! You are not just going to allow him to walk away like this, right?"
Braden shook his head and chuckled to himself. He looked at Peter before saying, "Peter... you are the one who is working for Aldoff, right?"
"Huh? The fuck are you talking about?"
"You are the one who has been giving information about me to him. And not just recently-you’ve been working for him for quite a long time."
"Hey! I told you, stop fucking around! I ain’t working for that bastard!"
Peter threw a tantrum, swinging his arm through the air in an arc.
Braden did not react in any way. Vanessa, on the other hand, was knitting her brows. Shyle had already lost the grasp of what was going on.
"I already knew somewhere inside and suspected that this was the case, but I never had the courage to confront it. I was... I was scared of facing the truth."
"..."
"But that is not the case now. You, Peter... you can accept the truth. Don’t worry, I don’t have any strength left to get into a fight with you."
Braden chuckled softly to himself before falling silent.
This time, Peter didn’t throw another tantrum. He just stood there, eyes glued to the ground, three second later he broke out into loud laughter.
