Chapter 559: Chapter 558: Served Time

Soon, they moved out of the city and finally reached the base of the Molak Family.

Even the air felt different, not to mention the large courtyards, the various mansions, halls at every corner, and a massive building that seemed to reach for the sky.

The size was comparable to a city on its own as members of the Molak Family walked around.

Their distinct green robes were evident of where they came from and who they were.

The young man anxiously led Rasel and the rest to the main hall before hurriedly leaving, hoping Devon would forget everything and not bring it up.

Seeing this, Devon merely shook his head.

He had no comment.

Inside the main hall, Rasel and the others were invited to a long table where the elders of the Molak Family and the family head welcomed them.

Their faces beamed with joy when they learned that it was the Fifth Princess who had come to visit them.

Alas, because of Leon’s condition, they couldn’t hold a meeting right away.

So, after exchanging simple greetings at the table, they were escorted to their rooms.

---

Keith and Kiro sat across from one another as they talked.

"So, we made the journey. What next?" Keith couldn’t help but ask.

"Stick around the Molak Family and wait for their decision and Princess Rasel’s," Kiro replied as he leaned back, resting on his hands while his eyes scanned the lavishly designed room.

"Seems like it would take a while," Keith said.

"Most likely, yes. Their decision could very well shake this entire realm. It isn’t something they can just rush into. Especially the Molak Family," Kiro analyzed.

"But I’m more worried about something. Will she still be attacked? After all, even though we were already in a city under the Molak Family’s control, Master was still targeted by assassins," Keith couldn’t help but ask.

"Yeah, I get your point. But we’re directly at the Molak Family’s headquarters now. A hidden family with power said to rival an entire kingdom. Only a fool would attack here, so rest assured. Besides, did you sense the huge number of Rank 0 auras around this place?" Kiro asked.

Keith nodded.

"Yeah... I guess we can relax now."

"Exactly. Tomorrow, if possible, I’ll take you around Molak City," Kiro said with a smug smile.

Keith simply ignored him.

Seeing Keith stand up and fall onto the bed to rest, Kiro couldn’t help but shake his head.

Ever since he had heard Keith’s backstory, he had realized that Keith’s own townspeople had, at the very least, corrupted his view of the world.

The only way to change that was to show him the good side of humanity.

Yes, Kiro wasn’t human.

But he didn’t hate humans.

Besides, their society wasn’t much different from his own.

So who was he to judge?

The Fifth Abyss...

Inside Void’s multiverse...

Void’s Slaves were gathered together in the main hall.

Each sat in one of the available chairs as Linkir spoke.

"I’m glad you’re all here," Linkir began as the others looked toward her.

"It has been quite some time since Void left, and we haven’t heard from him. But thankfully, I’m seeing growth in Dreadborne. We are conquering one world after another. Now news and rumors about us are spreading."

"Great work," Linkir praised.

"Sure," Mark nodded.

"You got it," Nephem replied, putting on a pair of dark shades as he crossed his arms.

"Easy," Junnie said.

"Just doing our job," Nyx muttered.

"More or less," Alayot nodded.

"So, the main reason I called you all here..."

Linkir’s expression turned solemn as Alayot and the others straightened in their seats.

"It involves one of us."

"Some years ago, he turned against our master to protect his so-called disciples. He fought us, and despite everything, he was eventually subdued by our master."

"But because of how kind Void is, he only punished him for a number of years."

"And now..."

"It’s time for him to be released."

The moment Linkir finished speaking, everyone already knew who she was referring to without her needing to say his name.

It was an incident they would never forget.

It had also been an eye-opener.

Most of them had believed they were already catching up to Void, or that with enough time they would eventually surpass him.

But after that incident...

They realized just how enormous the gap between them and Void truly was.

For the more impulsive ones like Junnie, and for the unconvinced ones like Nyx, who had once believed Linkir wasn’t qualified to lead them...

They witnessed just how powerful Linkir was.

And how terrifying Sword Demon truly was.

He could be considered the strongest combatant among all of Void’s Slaves.

"Well, I just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts before he’s released. Is there anything you want to add or do? I also think it would be a good idea for everyone to welcome him back," Linkir said.

Alayot was the first to respond.

"Actually, I think you’ve made the right decision. Having everyone welcome him back will keep him from feeling alienated. Besides, we all understood his actions from his own point of view."

"Yeah, agreed. If not all of us, then who among us hasn’t had something taken away by Void?" Nyx said, her gaze turning cold as everyone else sighed.

There was some truth to her words.

For Nyx, it was especially true.

She had once been a Rank 3 Angel with a bright future.

But during the war between the Demons and Angels, she had been captured by Void and turned into his slave.

Now she was an Aeron, a hybrid between the Demon and Angel races.

She would never be accepted by her own race again.

Who wouldn’t feel hurt?

Who wouldn’t harbor resentment toward him?

"Actually... Void saved me."

"He saved me from an Original Sin demon" Junnie said with a smile.

"Well, Void created me, so..." Nephem added.

Before the discussion could go off track, Linkir quickly interrupted.

"Please, this isn’t about what Void did or who he did it to."

"In fact, this isn’t even about Void."

"It’s about Sword Demon."

"Let’s just go release him."

"He has suffered enough."

Linkir spoke as everyone exchanged glances.

"Lead the way," Alayot said.

Linkir nodded.

The group stood up and headed deeper into the underground basement of the giant mansion, where Sword Demon had been imprisoned to serve his sentence.
