Chapter 588: Chapter 587: The War

After a brief moment of darkness, Rasel found herself in a familiar place.

The royal castle.

At this moment, she was in a room with her three brothers.

"Hello, sister."

The Fourth Prince opened his arms with a smirk, as though he were welcoming a guest.

Rasel’s head was still fuzzy and for a moment, she couldn’t understand where she was or how she had gotten here.

"What...?"

Rasel frowned.

"Oh, good. She’s clueless."

The Third Prince sat on the couch, his legs crossed as he looked at her.

The First Prince then looked toward the Middle-Level Rank 0 expert who had brought Rasel here.

"You can go."

The man nodded.

Then, without another word, a dark circular space suddenly appeared beneath his feet.

His body slowly sank into the darkness.

Rasel’s eyes narrowed.

So that’s how they moved...

The darkness completely swallowed his body, and in the next moment, it disappeared.

Rasel looked around the room.

She could now understand what had happened.

They had used some kind of spatial ability to travel directly from the battlefield to the capital.

She turned toward her brothers.

"What are you doing?"

"What exactly did you want to discuss with me?"

The First Prince smiled. He walked toward a table at the side of the room and picked up a bottle of wine.

He poured two glasses before walking toward Rasel.

"Sit."

He handed one of the glasses to her before sitting on the opposite couch, Rasel looked at the wine for a moment then she looked at him.

"Really?"

She rolled her eyes before sitting down. Seeing this the First Prince smiled as he said.

"We are family, after all."

He raised his glass.

"Have a drink first."

Rasel sighed.

"Ri...ght..."

She took a small sip.

Then she placed the glass down.

"Now tell me."

"How exactly do you intend to stop this war?"

The First Prince smiled.

"We want you to surrender."

Rasel froze.

"What?"

"We want you to join us."

Rasel stared at him for several seconds before letting out a scoff.

"Join you?"

"Why would I surrender to you?"

She clenched her fist.

"You tried to kill me."

"And I know who you are working for."

The Fourth Prince suddenly clapped his hands.

"Very good."

"She’s finally catching up."

His smile widened.

"If you already know who we are working for, then you should also have some idea of the strength of the person behind us."

Rasel remained silent.

The First Prince took another sip of his wine.

"You are dealing with someone who can destroy the entire Mortal Realm."

"Do you really think it would be better for us to resist someone like that?"

"It doesn’t matter whether he is righteous or evil."

"With that level of strength, whatever he wants can become righteousness."

Rasel’s expression became serious, everything Leon had told her about the strange organization, the people controlling the princes, the war and the mysterious existence behind everything.

It was all beginning to connect.

"So this is what Leon meant..."

She muttered.

The First Prince smiled.

Rasel looked at him.

"But you don’t even know why that person is here."

"You are simply giving him control over the Mortal Realm."

"Do you understand what that means?"

"And Leon said that all of you are nothing more than puppets doing his bidding."

The First Prince finished his wine.

He shrugged.

"If that’s what it takes..."

He placed the empty glass on the table.

"If being a puppet is the price for standing beside someone with that kind of power, then so be it."

Rasel’s eyes narrowed.

She understood what he meant.

Power.

Absolute power.

The kind of power that could completely change one’s position in the Mortal Realm.

She suddenly remembered Caesar, the leader of the Black Hawk Organization.

Not long ago, Caesar had only been a Peak Rank 0 expert.

Yet after receiving a random opportunity from that mysterious existence...

He had become a Quasi-Rank 1 being.

Just like that.

A Peak Rank 0 existence had crossed half a realm.

And this was someone who could casually grant such power.

How could they possibly resist?

The Black Hawk Organization had already become one of the strongest forces in the Mortal Realm.

And now they were willing to follow that being.

Rasel understood their reasoning.

It made sense.

But...

That didn’t mean she agreed.

"What exactly is his plan for the Mortal Realm?"

She asked.

"You don’t even know what he intends to do."

The Fourth Prince shrugged.

"Does it matter?"

"Even if we know his plan and it is against the Mortal Realm, what can we do?"

Rasel’s expression became ugly.

The First Prince placed his glass down.

"Enough."

"Are you joining us or not?"

Silence filled the room as rasel lowered her head, her fists slowly tightening. Then she took a sharp breath before she looked up.

"No."

"I won’t join you."

The Fourth Prince didn’t seem to surprised by this as he said calmly.

"Fine."

"It’s your choice."

The moment he finished speaking—

WHOOSH!

He suddenly appeared before Rasel, his s hand wrapped around her neck as Rasel’s expression changed rapidly.

She immediately released her aura.

She was already approaching the High-Level Rank 0 Realm.

But the Fourth Prince’s strength was far beyond hers.

He lifted her into the air as though she weighed nothing.

Then he clenched his fist.

BOOM!

Rasel’s body was slammed into the ground.

The floor cracked beneath her, she coughed as blood escaped her mouth.

Seeing this, the third prince shook his head.

"I told you she wouldn’t agree."

The First Prince stood up.

"It’s fine."

"It was worth trying."

He looked toward the others.

"Let’s continue with the plan."

---

Outside the capital...

The battlefield suddenly erupted.

"CHARGE!"

A deafening roar spread across the land.

Hundreds of thousands of soldiers rushed forward.

The earth trembled beneath their feet.

The army that had been waiting on the opposite side finally revealed its true strength.

One Peak Rank 0 expert after another appeared.

Then...

Quasi-Rank 1 beings descended onto the battlefield.

The expressions of the Molak Family’s experts instantly changed.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four...

Five.

There were five Quasi-Rank 1 beings on the opposing side.

And among them...

Was the Ancestor of the Royal Family.

The Ancestor of the Molak Family’s expression became extremely ugly.

On their side...

There were only two Quasi-Rank 1 beings.

Himself and Riua.

"How..."

Even Riua’s expression became serious. The difference was simply too great.

But at this point, there was no turning back, even if it was five against two,the ancestor and riua still charged towards their opponent.

BOOM!

The moment the Quasi-Rank 1 beings clashed, the entire continent seemed to tremble.

The sky distorted, the earth cracked as massive shockwaves spread in every direction.

Even though they were deliberately suppressing their strength to avoid destroying the Mortal Realm itself, the sheer power of their attacks was still terrifying.

A single clash could destroy an entire city, another collision caused the ground beneath them to collapse for hundreds of kilometers.

Their bodies moved faster than the eyes could follow.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The war...had officially begun.

---

At the same time...

While the quasi rank 1 beings were destroying the Mortal realm, on the ground keith was fighting a smaller war against not only his opponent but himself.

His hands tremble as hebwas surrounded by enemies.

Normally, this would have been simple. Killing was one thing he wasn’t foreign too plus at same realm he had a slight edge over his opponent but Keith was desperately trying not to kill or he would lose control.

He struck one enemy in the chest.

CRACK!

Several bones broke, but the man was still alive as Keith moved again closing towards him as he kicked him in the chin blasting him a few meters away.

Dodging to the side, his hard was cut by a sharp sword thrust as he kicked the he grabbed the wrist of the wielder and twisted it.

" ahhh".., a blood curling scram came from it as the sword was dropped to the ground.

"Stop..."

Keith gritted his teeth as he said, his killing intent was becoming stronger and with that his thirst was approaching his limit as his skin was becoming itchy as cracks briefly appeared.

He couldn’t help but remembered the city and the moment he had lost control.

The blood, the bodies.

In total, he had killed dozens of people before finally regaining himself.

If he started killing here...Would he be able to stop?

He didn’t think so.

But then—

An enemy’s attack landed.

Keith’s arm twisted unnaturally.

"ARGH!"

His eyes widened but then another enemy rushed toward him.

Keith had no choice, he had to choose between his living or dying so gritting his teeth, he struck.

BOOM!

The man’s head exploded as his brain matter splattered on the ground.

Silence.

Keith stared at the blood covering his hand.

Then...

Something inside him snapped.

"Ah..."

Kiro, who had been fighting nearby, suddenly turned around.

"Keith?"

Keith’s body began trembling as his heart pounded heavily and his blood surged like a river inside him.

His breathing became heavier as his veins expanded rapidly becoming more than thrice their size.

His eyes glowed crimson as slowly but surely, his reasoning disappeared.
