"Gold coin works," he said.

Ameth’s fingers moved toward him, the single gold coin still held between them.

Lor did not take it yet.

"I need one more thing," he said. His voice stayed even.

"You’re trying to come out ahead. I know what the stall is pulling right now. A gold coin covers maybe four or five days of my cut, not two weeks."

Ameth neither agreed nor denied. She kept the coin between her fingers and waited.

"So," Lor continued, "I want your bra and panties. Freshly worn. Every two days. You take them off and hand them to me whenever I ask."

The words landed cleanly in the cold air.

Out on the street, Kuri went very still.

Her arms stayed crossed, but her eyes locked on the two of them.

Her face held the tight look of someone who wanted to make sure she had heard the words correctly before reacting.

Ameth looked at Lor.

The coin remained between her fingers.

He stood with his hands in his pockets, relaxed, watching her.

It was the same expression she had seen before — on the forest path, in the alley behind her stall.

Patient. Unbothered. The face of someone who had said exactly what he wanted and saw no reason to be uncomfortable about it.

She recognised it completely. He was still the same man. The same pervert.

The blank weight in her chest dulled while she looked at him.

"Once a week," Ameth said.

Lor shook his head once. "Every two days."

"Once every five days."

"Three."

Ameth was silent for a moment. The lamplight from the tavern window cut across the side of her face.

"Every three days," she said.

Lor nodded. "Every three days. Starting today."

"Deal."

Kuri’s mouth opened. She closed it. She opened it again.

"Are you—" She turned fully toward them, one finger rising to point at Lor. Her voice stayed low but sharp. "Did you just— she’s your— what is wrong with you? You can’t just ask someone for their— in the street—"

Ameth glanced down at the coin still between her fingers. She held it out. Lor took it. The metal disappeared into his pocket.

Then Ameth turned and walked around the corner of the tavern without another word.

"Follow me," she said as she disappeared into the narrow gap between the buildings.

Lor walked after her without looking back.

Kuri stood frozen for a second longer, finger still pointed at the empty space where he had been.

"Ameth!" she called after her. "Are you serious? You’re just going to— you’re shameless. Both of you are oddballs. What is wrong with the two of you?"

Her pointed finger stayed in the air a moment longer, then lowered slowly.

She looked up and down the empty lane. She looked at the fish sign creaking once more in the breeze. She stood very still.

Then she walked to the corner of the building and leaned around it.

_

The gap between the tavern and the building next to it was narrow.

Barely wide enough for two people. Dark. The lamplight from the street died after the first two feet.

Beyond that it was only shadow, cold stone, old mortar, and the damp smell of the ground underfoot.

Ameth stood with her back toward the street. Her tunic was still on. She was not facing him.

She looked at the wall in front of her.

Her expression stayed unreadable from any angle. Her sleek blonde hair fell straight down her back. Even in the dim light the cold, sharp lines of her face were clear.

Lor waited a few steps behind her. Kuri stood closer to the mouth of the alley, arms crossed tight.

Ameth reached up and took hold of the bottom of her tunic. She pulled it upward slowly.

The fabric slid over her stomach first, then her ribs. Her midriff came into view — pale, smooth, the soft line of her waist clear in the weak light. She kept lifting.

The tunic rose over her chest. The fabric cleared her shoulders and arms. She pulled it all the way off.

She folded the tunic once with neat, unhurried movements and set it on the low stone ledge that ran along the wall.

Underneath she wore a violet bra. The colour was deep and clear even in the dim alley. The straps sat neat against her pale shoulders.

The cups were full and firm, holding the weight of her breasts. The upper curves of soft flesh rose above the edge of the fabric. Her skin looked almost white against the violet.

She reached both hands behind her back. Her shoulder blades shifted under the smooth skin.

The clasp came undone with a small, quiet sound. She brought her arms forward. The straps slid down her upper arms slowly. The violet cups loosened and fell away from her body.

Her breasts were full and heavy. They settled naturally once free of the bra. The skin was smooth and pale. Her nipples were already tight from the cold air — a clear, soft pink against the white of her breasts. They stood out firmly.

The weight of each breast pulled them slightly downward, the soft undersides curved and full.

Kuri’s face went deep red. Her mouth opened a little. Her arms stayed locked across her chest, but her fingers dug hard into her own sleeves. She stared without blinking. She said nothing. Her breathing had gone shallow.

Ameth held the violet bra in one hand for a moment. She did not cover herself. She simply stood there with her bare chest exposed to the cold air of the alley. Then she handed over her bra to Lor.

Lor’s eyes moved over her slowly.

"They’re beautiful," he said. His voice was quiet. "Really."

Ameth gave a small nod. Her icy blue eyes stayed calm.

"Thanks."

She reached for the waist of her pants. Her fingers worked the fastening open with steady movements.

The fabric loosened around her hips. She pushed the pants down slowly.

They slid over the curve of her hips first, then down the pale skin of her thighs.
