ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO A MAD BILLIONAIRE

"You are?" Mary asked her child stunned at her words. Was Sofie really serious? One moment she was all over Landon, and now after being rejected she was dumping him?

She had embarrassed them all, made them force an innocent man to marry her only for her to reject him last minute.

Darlington frowned. "Sofie what is the meaning of this? Are you playing with us all?" Darlington asked and she blinked at him. Sofie brought her hands together and placed it on the table.

"I’m sorry grandpa. I thought I loved Landon, but I finally realize I don’t. Stealing him away from the woman he loves is wrong as I won’t want that to happen to me too. I’m I right Penny." Penny who was secretly smiling suddenly nodded in shock.

"Who knows, the woman he’s speaking about might be pregnant just like Penny. What will that child think of me? That I used influence and power to steal his father." Sofie said calmly.

"Father, mother, uncle... I am deeply sorry for any inconveniences I may have caused you along the line. If you elfeel embarrassed mother," she smiled. "Landon is also a part of the family. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about."

"You made us lose our most trusted bodyguard because of your mood swings. I’ve told you time and time again Sofie, be sure of what you want before involving the family." Xavier said sternly, cautioning his niece.

Sofie was like a daughter to him no matter what. He had been there for her and acted like a father a few times when Barry was not around.

"I’m sorry uncle." Sofie apologized.

"We’re sorry Mr Landon for the misunderstanding. It’s understandable if you don’t want to work for us anymore."

"I love my job. I love protecting Miss Penny." Osvaldo said calmly.

"What about the woman you love. How would she understand?" Mary asked this time, worriedly.

"She knows my line of work and loves me like that. Plus I visit her oftenly." Everyone was happy. Hughes let out a quick sigh of relief, although she found it suspicious that Sofie who was so obsessed with Osvaldo suddenly fell out of love for him.

Darlington frowned. This young man thinks he’s sleek, he would have to keep a close eyes on both him and his granddaughter in law. No one can steal her away from his stupid grandson.

He needed to call home, to know if his grandson was okay.

"Father, I’m going to be away for some time. I want to travel around the world and explore the world first before I settle with anyone else." Sofie smiled and Barry nodded.

"That’s a good point. Take your time. Have fun. You have so many years ahead of you."

"Great, I’ll be leaving today." Sofie said excitedly.

Once breakfast was over, everyone returned to whatever they had going on. Penny who had been asked to rest more was escorted to her room by her father. Sofie went to her room as the rest of the family.

Once Penny had settled in happily. She imagined how she would go to Osvaldo later. She would visit him when the entire family is asleep.

Their plans had failed woefully, but she was glad it did. They wouldn’t need to worry about separating again.

But... Penny wondered why Sofie pulled out of the marriage so fast. Everyone knew her obsession with Osvaldo. The Sofie she knows will never leave him for anyone.

Penny felt a kick on her tummy and she smiled. "Don’t worry little ones. Your father’s not leaving us anytime soon." They kick again, this time a little harder and she smiled rubbing her stomach.

A soft knock landed on the door and Hughes stepped in once permitted. "Miss Penny, Miss Sofie is leaving now and she ask to see you." Penny eyes turned wide a little.

"So soon?" She muttered and began walking out of the room. She needed to see Sofie before she leaves. When Penny stepped out, it was true. Her sister was leaving.

"Sofie." She called Sofie smiled sweetly. At the same time Osvaldo arrived, his blue eyes on his Penguin before shifting to her sister who had been so obsessed with him and it agitated him.

"I love you Penny. Take care of my niece and Nephew. Once they’re born, I promise to buy them a jet." Penny smiled and hugged her cousin. "I know you’re in love with Landon, tell me sister, is he that his and of yours?" Penny’s eyes turned wide.

Sofie let her go and smiled. "Take care sister. She walked over to Osvaldo who stared at her normally. If this man was Penny’s husband, then she had messed with the powerful man in all of Owlsgrave.

"I know may have over stepped my boundaries Landon and caused you a couple of problems. But I’m sorry. I didn’t mean any of that." Sofie said calmly. "Can I at least get a hug to seal our friendship?" She asked.

Osvaldo shifted his eyes to his Penguin who nodded gently and he hugged Sofie. Sofie stood on her tiptoe "Mr Osvaldo." Sofie whispered next to his ears. "Please take good care of my sister. She loves you very much." Osvaldo have no reaction and just stared at her. He nodded gently at her words.

Sofie said her goodbye to the rest of the family and then her car drove out of the estate gently till it was gone completely.

Osvaldo was the first to move. He walked over to his Penguin, "You should return to resting now, for the babies." Darlington frowned at the man’s words and immediately stepped in. He would not let anyone steal his granddaughter away from him. It was obvious what this man’s plans were.

"She had family members that are more than willing to take good care of her. I’ll take it from here." Darlington placed his hands on Penny’s and took her away. Penny stared at Osvaldo one more time before stepping away with Darlington.

When they arrived in her bedroom, Darlington watched his granddaughter in law lay on the bed. She drew the sheets to her body as she rested.

"You should be careful of Landon. I can see through his intentions." Darlington said and she opened her eyes.

"What intentions?" Penny asked.

"Nevermind my beautiful daughter. Sleep tight, I’ll be back later to check up on you." Penny nodded and watched him walk away. She laid on the bed for a little longer before jumping off.

Osvaldo had wanted to escort her into the room, that meant he had something he wanted to discuss with her. She needed to see him, and quickly. She placed her legs on her slippers and before she could stand, her door opened to Xavier stepping in.

"You’re not resting?" He frowned.

"I am father. I just stepped out of the bathroom." He raised a brow and nodded.

"You should rest more." He said and then sat on the bed.

"How’s your health now. I didn’t get to visit last night after everything that had happened." Penny smiled.

"I’m fine now. And I’m surprisingly hungry again." She said cheerfully. "How about you dad, are you okay? How did you guys escape last night?" Xavier sighed.

He hated to give praises to anything related to the Adkins, but they had arrived last night and saved his head. "Your armies came last night with your lawyers." He said and Penny understood what he meant.

"I’m glad you’re okay. Os-Landon had asked me not to tell the world about the cancer drugs but I didn’t listen. I caused trouble for everyone." Penny confessed and her father pulled her into a warm embrace.

"What has been done is done. I promise to protect you with my life Penelope. I won’t let anything bad happen to you." Xavier said and she nodded.

The door immediately opened to Osvaldo stepping in. It’s a good thing he kept his mask on, he hadn’t expected to see Xavier in there with his Penguin.

"Do you not knock when you step in?" Xavier asked like the protective father he is. What if his child was naked? He’d kill anyone who stared at her naked.

"I asked for him father. Landon always stays in here with me through the night." Penny interupted.

"What?" Xavier frowned.

"I feel safer with him in there." She explained.

"Don’t worry father. He only stands by the window all night and read me books." Xavier’s eyes fell on Osvaldo.

"Stay six feet away from my child." He said and Osvaldo nodded.

"I should leave you to rest Penny. See you soon." He kisses her forehead gently, before walking away.

The moment the door closed, Penny rushed into the arms of Osvaldo. Their lips pressed together immediately as they kissed like two starved animals...
