After Achieving Invincibility, I Set Out to Destroy Sects

As Ning Nuo was starting her thunder tribulation to ascend, Jiang Yun was watching from the side to make sure she succeeded.

Tribulations to ascend were far more powerful than breaking through a major realm and needed extra attention. Though Jiang Yun was confident that Ning Nuo was able to do it herself, he still wanted to make absolute sure.

As the lightning clouds fully formed, lightning could be seen building up in the sky, preparing to crash down.

Soon, huge lightning struck down towards Ning Nuo, who was prepared and easily blocked the lightning. This went on for a while as there were so many waves for an ascension tribulation to ascend.

After many waves had passed, the last one finally came, which was the largest lightning among all of them. At this point, Ning Nuo had suffered barely any injuries and could handle the last one just fine.

After blocking the last one, her spiritual energy had completely transformed into immortal energy, thereby making her an immortal. She then had a light shine over her, forcing her to ascend as she was now an immortal.

Before she could say anything after finishing her tribulation, she ascended to the immortal world.

The members of the Invincible Cloud sect had all come out of seclusion from the commotion of Ning Nuo’s tribulation and were amazed by what an immortal ascension tribulation looked like. They felt like they wanted to go through the same as soon as possible and follow Ning Nuo into the immortal world.

Jiang Yun was also watching from the side and had seen Ning Nuo ascend to the immortal world. Since being transported into the immortal world was random, he decided to go to the immortal world and lead the way for her.

Jiang Yun then turned to the other members of the sect and said, "You all can go back now and cultivate. It shouldn’t be long before the rest of you have the opportunity to ascend, so be diligent. I will be back soon after I find her."

Jiang Yun then tore through space where Ning Nuo had ascended to follow her tracks. This method would lead Jiang Yun directly towards Ning Nuo.

Jiang Yun then entered the torn space and disappeared, causing the torn space to quickly repair itself as if nothing had happened.

The girls who saw this could only go back to cultivate. They were falling behind and wanted to catch up quickly. Since Jiang Yun said he would take care of Ning Nuo in the immortal world, then he would, as they all had full confidence in him.

In the immortal world, Jiang Yun soon exited the torn space, looked around, and quickly felt Ning Nuo’s presence nearby.

Jiang Yun then followed the traces and found Ning Nuo running away from some kind of immortal beast. Jiang Yun quickly appeared in front of the beast and killed it with a quick slap.

Ning Nuo stopped and was finally relieved to see Jiang Yun. The immortal world was far too dangerous for a newly ascended cultivator, as she had just ascended and was already running into trouble.

Since she was safe now, Ning Nuo asked, "Where do we go now?"

Jiang Yun replied, "I found a great place to go to, so let's go there."

Ning Nuo nodded, as she didn’t know the immortal realm very well, and Jiang Yun seemed to know it better than she did.

The two then headed to the former Leaping Carp sect that Jiang Yun had occupied before.

As the two arrived, Jiang Yun felt someone was in the Leaping Carp sect. This didn’t make sense to Jiang Yun, as he had wiped out every member. Who could possibly come to such a deserted place as this?

The two then entered, and Jiang Yun was looking for the person who was here. Soon after a slight search, Jiang Yun found a girl with dark yellow hair hiding in between an alley of two buildings.

The instant Jiang Yun saw the girl, a shout could be heard not far away, "I saw some people! That woman must be close by. Quickly follow them."

The girl then pulled Jiang Yun and Ning Nuo into the alley, seemingly trying to hide from the group nearby.

Jiang Yun then asked, "Who are you? Why are you here at my sect territory?"

The girl then looked at Jiang Yun strangely and asked, "What do you mean, 'your territory'? This whole time I haven’t seen anyone in this place other than you two until now."

Jiang Yun replied, "My sect has few members. Currently, only the girl beside me is here on sect grounds."

The girl then said, "I’m sorry for intruding then, but as you can see, I need a place to hide. I’m being chased, and this was the only place I could find to hide as it was surrounded by forests."

Jiang Yun then asked, "Then who are you, and why are you being chased?"

The girl hesitated but decided to talk as she was the one trespassing, "I am Zhao Jia, and I come from the Red Lion Merchant Association. The group following me robbed me of my things and wanted to silence me, but I managed to escape."

Jiang Yun, after listening, was reminded of something. He then took a closer look and wanted to confirm something.

Jiang Yun asked, "Do you have a sister named Zhao Na?"

Zhao Jia replied, "Yes, she is my older sister. Why do you ask? Do you know her?"

Jiang Yun replied, "We had a business partnership a long time ago. I would trade her a lot of herbs in exchange for resources. Since I traded with her so often, she gave me the best trades, which resulted in us getting to know each other."

Zhao Jia then thought for a moment and said, "Are you Jiang Yun?"

Jiang Yun nodded his head.

Zhao Jia then said joyfully, "My sister has talked a lot about you a long time ago. You were her best customer and always got what she needed. You disappeared all of a sudden back then."

As Zhao Jia was talking, the group nearby heard them talking and quickly rushed over. The group then appeared and surrounded Jiang Yun, Ning Nuo, and Zhao Jia.

Zhao Jia guiltily said, "I’m sorry for talking so loud and getting you involved. Don’t worry, I’ll distract them while you escape. This is my problem, and I will deal with it."

After finishing, Zhao Jia stepped forward to confront the group of people as she wanted to distract them so Jiang Yun and Ning Nuo could run away.

Unlike her expectations, though, Jiang Yun then pulled her back and stepped forward instead.

Jiang Yun then stated, "This girl is now under my protection. If you don’t want to die, hurry up and get out of my sect."

The leader of the group of bandits then stepped out to confront Jiang Yun and started speaking, "I don’t care who you are, but you shouldn’t get in our way. We have you surrounded, not the other way around."

Since the group wasn’t backing off, Jiang Yun decided not to be merciful. He then pushed the group with a heavy gust of wind, intending to finish them outside the sect.

As the gust of wind was so strong, the group of bandits couldn’t even fly to get out of their downward spiral after being pushed out, which lead them all to land on the ground in the forest outside the sect.

The group then got up just as Jiang Yun appeared in front of them.

The leader, still not believing Jiang Yun, was stronger than them and had only relied on tricks, took out his weapon, as did the others.

The leader of the bandits then stated, "This is your last chance to get out of the way. We just want the girl to ransom for money. If you stop pursuing us right now, we will let it end peacefully. Otherwise, you will have to face the might of an Earth Immortal."

Jiang Yun didn’t pay much attention before, but the bandit leader in front of him was indeed an Earth Immortal. This kind of weak cultivation still dared to be arrogant, which was simply a joke.

The leader noticed Jiang Yun didn’t take him seriously and started to attack with the weapon he had taken out, wanting to show he had real power to back his words.

Once he approached, a fireball started flying in front of his face. Thinking it was a simple fireball and not needing to dodge, the leader of the bandits rushed right in.

The next moment, he let out a loud scream as he felt his body incinerating to ash. It didn’t take long before what remained was just a pile of ash of the once-arrogant Earth Immortal.

The people behind the bandit leader soon panicked, not wanting to end up the same as a pile of ash. They all kneeled to beg for mercy.

Jiang Yun, having already given them a chance to back off, didn’t feel like giving them a second chance. He then threw more fireballs to turn all the bandits into ash.

Once all the bandits turned to ash and blew away, Jiang Yun went back, as he had to settle Ning Nuo into this new sect territory as well as talk to Zhao Jia about some matters he was curious about.
