And now, the construct army crosses the Inland Sea, replacing humans as sacrificial offerings, plunging into the Capital City’s flesh-grinding mill.

Regarding how Su Motong views her "compatriots" being used as expendable items, Su Mo specifically talked with her about this.

Su Motong’s reaction was much like the "good line" in the original plot of "Dawn".

This "construct embryo" grew up with humans, surrounded by loving parents and family and friends, having a happy and beautiful childhood.

Later, she absorbed all the cultural knowledge from Human Documents, knowing all the mysteries known to humans, becoming a being where rationality and sensibility coexist.

Aside from the uniqueness at the physical level, Su Motong has from the heart long viewed herself as a member of humanity, willing to fight for humanity’s beautiful future.

As for constructs...

Sorry, really not familiar.

Constructs in Su Motong’s eyes are just like "currency" entities; if they die it’s as if spending money.

She only considers whether the currency spent is worth it or profitable, never questioning whether the currency has so-called "currency rights".

Precisely because of this attitude, players of "Dawn" often jokingly refer to Su Motong of the good line as "smart person" and "construction traitor".

Of course, this is just a humorous joke, players harbored no malice towards her.

After all, players outside of the game are all humans, unless deliberately playing the evil line, most times they think from a human perspective.

It’s okay as long as humans live well; whether constructs live well or not, I don’t care.

Su Mo’s attitude towards this issue is the same.

Is a construct’s life also a life?

Maybe.

But what does it have to do with me?

You are merely tools that I have created, the meaning of tools is precisely to act as expendables, doing the dirty work humans don’t want to do, sacrificing their lives for my compatriots and comrades.

Moreover, the existence of these "worker bees" is inherently tool-like in nature.

If they could think like normal humans, have emotional fluctuations, love and hate, then perhaps there would be room for discussing survival rights.

These worker bees with no autonomous consciousness, their inherent meaning is to offer up everything, including their existence, to the higher will.

While Su Motong manipulates the construct army through Queen Bee consciousness, Su Mo did not disturb her, instead looking at a group of people walking towards him from behind.

Leading them is Fenrir, and among them are other top transcendental fighters like Dongdong, Hibell, Nuobai, Chu Nanyi, and Shangguan Li.

All of them are fully armed, and behind them is a Floating Airship equipped with optical camouflage and reconnaissance shielding modules, apparently about to carry out some mission.

Su Mo asked, "Are you all ready?"

Fenrir replied, "Yes, leave the decisive battle with the strongest stage-seven fighters from the corporate giants to us."

Su Mo took a deep breath, casting his gaze towards the direction of the Capital City, his sight falling on the center of the city, the Upper Court Council Headquarters.

This time, he decides to directly strike the Capital City, mainly for the quick termination of the war, which is good for both sides of the battle.

With the construct army in hand, certainly, it could be attacked more securely from other directions.

But if the battle lines spread too broadly, the number of people dying in the war will also increase.

My comrades are human, and enemy troops are also human, merely standing in different positions.

If necessary, Su Mo will not hesitate to kill the enemy.

But as long as fewer deaths occur, he will not choose the method of a corpse-strewn battlefield.

The purpose of directly striking the Capital City is precisely this, to decisively settle it in one battle.

This attack-defense war will certainly cause many deaths, but compared to long-lasting wars, it is already the smallest sacrifice.

Apart from swiftly ending the war, there is another extremely important target in the Capital City.

That is the "sixth access artifact" controlled by the World Government, located beneath the Upper Court Council Headquarters.

It is one of the seven access artifacts, after the "Ancestral Blood Code" and "Faceless Enzyme", the final direct strength-boosting access artifact.

Only by gathering these three strength-type artifacts can one truly reach the apex of power, without any of them, it won’t do.

Only through this can one face that ultimate existence.

Su Mo raised his head, looking towards the sky. On the distant horizon, there is a cloud layer of unimaginable thickness, displaying a ring-shaped explosive radiation form, like a gray giant ring suspended in the sky.

It is the trace left by "Sky City" once accelerating at this place.

...

Humans, as a biological species, besides their outstanding endurance and cooling ability for long-distance movement, are relatively small, weak in strength, speed, and defense capability.

When humans encounter those physically powerful beasts, they rely on two major aspects.

One is the operational ability of the five-finger structure in both hands.

Two is the advanced intelligence brought by a developed brain.

The operational ability allows humans to skillfully use various tools, from a lightweight handgun to heavy mechas weighing dozens or hundreds of tons, they can master them thoroughly after training.

In the eyes of those primitive wild animals, simply the gripping action of human fingers is equivalent to "magic".

Advanced intelligence is the same, no other animal brain can be as developed as humans’, containing over 100 billion neurons, able to devise various tactics.

The physically weak humans rely on these two points to become creatures at the top of the food chain.

Yet now, when a new biological species possessing the same operational ability, the same advanced intelligence, and physically stronger capabilities in all aspects than humans appear, humans are faced with the most terrifying opponent.

When the construct army Su Motong controls charges past minefield fire lines, climbs city walls, and fights a close-quarter meat-grinding battle with Capital City soldiers, the battlefield thoroughly falls into a sea of corpses and blood.

Dismembered limbs and broken bodies with blood flowing like drifts, cries of pain and screams shattering the sky, Capital Soldiers make their firearms roar to the extreme; once bullets run out, they take up shovels or military knives to slash, making incoming constructs riddled with wounds, yet unable to stop their advance.

As time progresses, large areas of the city wall have collapsed; looking around, there are black waves composed of constructs everywhere, forcing Capital Soldiers to retreat to the defensive positions on the streets behind them, engaging in their planned "urban warfare".

And this was the beginning of their nightmare.

In conventional warfare, what makes urban warfare terrifying for the attacking side?

Because the defensive side’s geographic advantages are far too evident.

As attackers, every house and every window could be enemy fortifications and shooting points. Attacks must involve checking each house, or they could face bullets fired from behind.

But even complete inspections cannot assure safety, as enemies can use various hidden paths to counterattack from behind, from those "safe zones" they thought were cleared of danger.

Additionally, due to terrain restrictions in urban warfare, it’s difficult to deploy advantageous forces to advance like battles on open plains, and hard to coordinate with armored troops. Heavy weapons like tanks, armored cars, or even Titan Mecha can have their mobility restricted by terrain, making them vulnerable to anti-armor weapon ambushes.

With advanced equipment and excellent training, once involved in urban warfare, one can only fill orders with their flesh; there’s no second option.

Imagine your parents raising you for over twenty years with painstaking care, spending millions to cultivate you into an adult, pouring endless love and effort.

But in urban warfare, a bullet costing merely a few coins fires from the shadows, destroying your 20-plus years of growth within milliseconds, your life and family shattering instantly.

The cruelty is enough to terrify anyone.

Initially, in the Capital Group Army’s assessment, if outer defenses fall, they were prepared to engage the rebels in urban warfare measured by years.

No matter how strong the rebels’ resolve, facing endless bullets shot without warning in the seemingly unsolvable urban warfare, as casualties mount daily, they would eventually crumble from battle fatigue.

But such expectations have a prerequisite - that those participating are humans.

Only humans can experience the terror brought by urban warfare.

Yet when not humans, who can feel pain, cry or collapse, but instead, emotionless worker bee constructs, whose birth goal is to offer up everything, are engaging in city meat grinding...

Then it is the defenders’ turn to bear the fear.
