Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things

Chapter 256 - 155: Silver Body, 181 Alchemy Patterns

Chapter 256: Chapter 155: Silver Body, 181 Alchemy Patterns

Fortunately, with the Eye of Omniscience providing guidance with near-molecular precision, Pei Ze completed the engraving smoothly.

The moment he finished the final stroke, his entire upper body turned almost completely silver. Eighty-three silver-white patterns, like winding serpents, coiled around his chest and back.

The mystical runes emitted a faint glow, strangely beautiful, like a masterpiece of art.

In a crisis, they could be activated instantly with a single thought, granting their bearer powerful abilities.

Pei Ze tossed aside the silver needle and surveyed the Alchemy Engraving on his body with satisfaction.

At his mental command, the silver-white patterns quickly faded from view, only to reappear with another thought.

As for the Blink and Thunder Burst Magic Tattoos that had previously occupied his chest and back, Pei Ze had already removed them.

Alchemy Engravings and Magic Tattoos could not coexist. Forced to choose between the two, he would pick the former without a moment’s hesitation.

After steadying himself, Pei Ze immediately activated the Alchemy Engraving, preparing to test the power of the Silver Body.

In an instant, the Alchemy Patterns on his body seemed to come alive, rapidly spreading across his entire form and turning it a silvery-white.

His entire form immediately took on the heavy, indestructible quality of metal.

Pei Ze clenched his fists, then pounded his chest, producing a crisp sound like the clash of metal.

He could clearly feel that it wasn’t just his skin and muscles—even his internal organs and bones had been strengthened.

It was as if his entire body had turned into solid steel!

"What a powerful effect!"

A look of amazement flashed across Pei Ze’s face before he began to apply the Lightning Runes.

By the time he had applied seventy-eight Lightning Runes, his body began to feel faintly strained, as if it couldn’t bear any more.

Overjoyed, Pei Ze didn’t hesitate to fuse with the silver star and continued applying Lightning Runes.

Soon, the number of applied Lightning Runes surpassed one hundred.

Pei Ze didn’t rest, continuing until he reached one hundred and three before finally stopping.

’One hundred and three under normal conditions, and one hundred and eight at my absolute limit.’

’Incredible. This is even a notch stronger than burning the Tough Magic Tattoo!’

An ecstatic smile spread across Pei Ze’s face.

Burning the Tough Magic Tattoo came at a steep price, consuming five to six thousand Magic Stone Coins each time.

But the Alchemy Engraving didn’t need to be burned; its power in its normal state already surpassed the former.

It was truly worthy of its status as an Enchantment Pattern, a higher tier than any Magic Tattoo.

’If only this Alchemy Engraving could be burned like a Magic Tattoo...’

A flash of inspiration struck Pei Ze, and he decisively issued a mental command:

’Eye of Omniscience, reference the burning property of Magic Tattoos and improve the Alchemy Engraving to give it a similar characteristic.’

[Task created. Beginning improvement of Alchemy Engraving. Estimated cost: 4281 Energy.]

’That’s so much!’

Pei Ze was secretly taken aback.

But then he thought again. ’Even burning a Magic Tattoo produces such astonishing power. If the Alchemy Engraving could also gain a burn property, its power would be absolutely terrifying. It’s not surprising the energy cost is so high.’

’It’s only about forty-something days.’

Pei Ze’s brow smoothed out, and he deactivated the Alchemy Engraving.

Glancing at the empty floor, he couldn’t help but shake his head slightly.

The Silver Body’s effect was certainly powerful, but the required materials were also astonishingly expensive, costing him a total of over three thousand merit points.

Converted to Magic Stone Coins, that was probably close to forty thousand.

’I still have ninety-eight Alchemy Patterns left. What should I engrave with them?’

Pei Ze looked at the Alchemy Patterns on his body and fell into deep thought.

The Silver Body was an enhancement-type Alchemy Engraving. To be on the safe side, he thought, he should probably engrave a defensive, an offensive, and a support-type as well.

Pei Ze quickly searched his mind and soon had his targets.

’Energy Force Field,’ a defensive Alchemy Engraving. When activated, it generates a temporary protective energy field that can block all kinds of damage from all directions, including but not limited to: physical attacks, elemental damage, Spirit attacks, and mental assaults.

This Alchemy Engraving required fifty-five Alchemy Patterns.

’Dimensional Flash,’ a support-type Alchemy Engraving. Upon activation, it allows instant teleportation to any location within a five-kilometer radius, unrestricted by a Dimension Anchor (though ineffective against higher-level Dimension Restriction Spells). A single charge allows for up to five uses.

This Alchemy Engraving required forty-one Alchemy Patterns.

Together, the two Alchemy Engravings would take up ninety-six Alchemy Patterns.

The remaining two Alchemy Patterns were not enough to create any other Alchemy Engravings, so Pei Ze had to regretfully abandon the idea of engraving an offensive one.

’Once I get the Alchemy Engravings, all my Magic Tattoos will have to be removed.’

Pei Ze looked down at his body with a hint of regret.

’Oh well. Out with the old, in with the new.’

He got up and left the room, preparing to buy the materials needed to engrave the Energy Force Field and Dimensional Flash.

But just as he stepped out of his stone house, he saw Peng Yan approaching with two other people.

When his gaze fell on one of them, a look of surprise appeared on Pei Ze’s face.

"Gu Lin."

But when he looked at the other person beside her, his pupils suddenly contracted.

What a beautiful woman!

But that wasn’t what shocked him. It was that when he subconsciously tried to probe her with his Eye of Omniscience, the feedback he got was that she was undetectable.

He had only ever encountered a similar situation with one person: Mo Weng.

And he wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but this stunning woman before him felt even more unfathomable than Mo Weng. She was like a deep, still pond, completely inscrutable.

"Pei Ze, long time no see."

Gu Lin said with a smile, raising a hand in greeting.

"It hasn’t been that long." Pei Ze suppressed his shock, pulled his gaze away, and looked at Gu Lin. "I heard you were in Bai Bing City. I was worried something might have happened to you. I’m relieved to see you’re alright."

Gu Lin pursed her lips. "Save the sweet talk. Bai Bing City fell over a month ago. If you were really that worried, you would’ve come looking for me."

Pei Ze gave an awkward cough. Gu Lin had clearly hit the mark.

He quickly changed the subject, glancing at Annie and asking, "And this is?"

Gu Lin immediately hesitated, thinking for a few seconds before replying, "This is Annie. She’s my... savior. She’s a vampire... Wizard."

She seemed to struggle with the introduction.

Pei Ze, however, froze on the spot.

A vampire? A Wizard? What kind of combination was that?

Looking at Annie again, Pei Ze finally noticed that her eyes were, in fact, blood-red, a trait that perfectly matched the legends about vampires.

Vampires were already considered High-tier Undead. Add a Wizard to the mix, and it was no wonder she gave him such an oppressive feeling!

With a dawning understanding, Pei Ze placed his right hand on his chest and bowed slightly to Annie.

"It’s an honor to meet you, Lady Annie."

Pei Ze always showed the necessary respect to those stronger than himself—enemies excluded, of course.

"I’m not a fan of all that ceremony. Just call me Annie."

Annie’s intrigued gaze roamed over Pei Ze.

"I’ve heard Gu Lin mention you. She said you were very impressive, but seeing you in person, I find she was being conservative."

At these words, both Pei Ze and Gu Lin froze.

Annie paid them no mind and continued to scrutinize Pei Ze.

"An Alchemy Body, and a perfected one at that, it seems. A Level 1 Wizard possessing an Alchemy Body of this caliber is exceedingly rare."

"You have a high concentration of Thunder Energy Particles on you... I see. I smell the blood of a Thunder Beast. It seems you possess an impressive blood-enhancement technique involving Magical Creatures."

"Your Spirit fluctuations are quite impressive, outstanding for your age, at least. Gu Lin isn’t even fit to carry your shoes. And if I’m not mistaken, you’re about to advance to a Second-level Wizard."

Hearing this last part, Gu Lin ignored Annie’s teasing jab at her. Her eyes widened as she stared at Pei Ze, her face filled with disbelief.

Alchemy Body?

Magical Creature blood-enhancement technique?

What were all these things?

They sounded incredibly impressive.

What on earth had Pei Ze gone through during this time?

But what shocked her even more was Annie’s final statement.

Pei Ze was about to advance to a Second-level Wizard?!

How was that possible?

The guy had become a Wizard less than a year ago!
