Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 332 - 190: Ancient Runes, CollaborationChapter 332: Chapter 190: Ancient Runes, Collaboration
A pale silver halo emanated from the Light Gate, bathing the entire grand hall in a silvery hue.
’So this is the Realm of Truth the Council has spent over ten thousand years perfecting?’
Pei Ze studied the Light Gate before him. From the outside, it didn’t look much different from the one for the Realm of Truth at High Tower Academy.
"Go on in," Mo Weng said, turning to Pei Ze. "Once inside the realm, open your mind and body to perceive the rules. How much you grasp will depend on your own luck."
Pei Ze asked curiously, "Teacher, can this Realm of Truth also grant a person some kind of Magic or knowledge?"
The Realm of Truth at High Tower Academy granted different boons to those who entered, depending on their individual circumstances.
Some comprehended a powerful form of Magic within the realm.
Others gained a vast amount of knowledge in potion-making.
Still others directly mastered metamagic techniques.
’Since this Realm of Truth is of a higher tier than the one at High Tower Academy, it should grant even richer boons.’
Sure enough, Mo Weng nodded slightly. "This Realm of Truth incorporates the lifelong knowledge of more than a dozen Rule Wizards. It contains countless forms of Magic, techniques, and knowledge, many of which are both profound and powerful."
"There was once a Level 3 Crystalized Wizard who comprehended the Heart of Elements in the realm. His understanding and perception of elemental energy reached a higher plane, and upon emerging from the realm, he immediately completed his elementalization and advanced to become an Elemental Mage."
Pei Ze clicked his tongue in amazement.
’It seems this Realm of Truth is far more advanced than the one at High Tower Academy.’
’I hope I can reap great rewards, too.’
Taking a deep breath, Pei Ze cleared his mind of stray thoughts and strode into the Light Gate.
His vision was instantly consumed by silver. All he could see was a vast, silvery expanse.
It felt as if only an instant had passed, yet also as if millennia had gone by. The silver gradually faded away, like a thick layer of dust being wiped clean, revealing a deep blue void and the light of distant stars.
Pei Ze had been through this three times before, so he remained calm and unhurried.
When his consciousness cleared, he calmly opened his eyes to find himself in a familiar, boundless, starry sky. Myriad stars were scattered around him like chess pieces on a board. A brilliant galaxy stretched across the cosmos overhead, a truly magnificent sight.
The scene was very similar to his previous experiences, but upon closer perception, he realized this starry sky was even more vast, more boundless, more real. It gave him the illusion of being inside a real Star River, and a sense of his own insignificance welled up from deep within him.
Compared to the starry sky before him, the High Tower Academy’s Realm of Truth was like a crude counterfeit next to the genuine article. The difference between them was immense and impossible to ignore.
Composing himself, Pei Ze took a deep breath and immersed his consciousness in the surrounding starry sky.
Gradually, he forgot his own existence, as if his entire being had merged with the cosmos, perceiving the changes of the myriad stars.
With every twinkle of a star, a new thread of insight would emerge in the depths of his mind. Like a falling drizzle, it would sink into his ocean of knowledge and become one with it.
An unknown amount of time passed before Pei Ze’s consciousness suddenly jolted. A brilliant flash of blue-white light appeared before his eyes.
Within the light, an exceedingly profound and intricate rune flickered in and out of view.
The rune seemed to be composed of countless fine lines, each one containing an exceptionally complex mystery. It made one involuntarily want to immerse themselves in it, to decipher the knowledge and truth hidden within the patterns.
As he stared at the rune, knowledge related to the Lightning Rune inexplicably surfaced in his mind.
By cross-referencing this knowledge, he began to understand the structure and principles of the blue-white rune, bit by bit.
Although his progress was as slow as a crawling turtle, he knew that if he persisted, he would eventually be able to decipher the blue-white rune.
Pei Ze had a feeling that if he successfully deciphered the blue-white rune, he would gain immense benefits.
But before Pei Ze could fully decipher it, the rune vanished with a WHOOSH, and a second blue-white rune appeared out of thin air in its place.
Compared to the first, the second blue-white rune was far more complex. Its profundity had increased several times over, to the point that just looking at it made Pei Ze dizzy, unable to comprehend its mysteries.
Before he could react, the blue-white rune vanished, and a third one materialized.
Then came the fourth, the fifth, the sixth...
No new rune appeared after the ninth blue-white rune vanished.
Pei Ze’s heart trembled as he was jolted back to awareness. In an instant, the starry sky before him shattered, the galaxy was annihilated, and a light so bright it was blinding filled his entire field of vision.
The next moment, his feet landed on something solid, a hard surface beneath his soles.
Pei Ze felt a throbbing ache in his head, as if it had been suddenly stuffed with new information.
He forced his eyes open despite the discomfort and found himself back in front of the Light Gate.
Mo Weng was watching him intently. Seeing his furrowed brow, a smile appeared on Mo Weng’s face.
"It seems you’ve gained quite a lot."
"Go back and enter seclusion to meditate on what you’ve learned. As long as you can fully absorb today’s gains, you’re sure to make significant progress."
Pei Ze nodded and left the grand hall with Mo Weng.
It wasn’t until he returned to his residence and sat down in the Meditation Room that the throbbing in Pei Ze’s head finally began to subside.
He let out a long breath and summoned the Eye of Omniscience, preparing to check his stats.
A look of pleasant surprise immediately crossed his face.
[Spirit: 489.80]
[Constitution: 410.17]
Before entering the Realm of Truth, Pei Ze’s Spirit attribute was 400.8, and now it had increased by a full 89 points.
’That’s a huge increase.’
Pei Ze was secretly astounded.
An 89-point increase in Spirit was enough for a newly promoted, ordinary Level 2 Crystalized Wizard to directly meet the standard for forming a Spirit Crystal.
