Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 338 - 191: Advancing to Level 3 Wizard, Igniting the Elemental FireChapter 338: Chapter 191: Advancing to Level 3 Wizard, Igniting the Elemental Fire
However, the thin red line stopped just shy of the fifth mark.
This meant Pei Ze’s fire affinity was at the very peak of the lower tier, just a hair’s breadth from breaking through to the middle tier.
Pei Ze guessed this was because he had awakened the Power of Fire Element, which had then been repeatedly strengthened when he broke through to the Legendary Realm.
As for the thin blue-white line, it surged forward unstoppably, finally coming to a halt at the fourteenth mark.
Pei Ze was overjoyed at the sight.
The fourteenth mark was already within the scope of the upper tier and very close to the highest tier. Just one more mark and it would reach the highest level.
Pei Ze hadn’t expected his lightning elemental affinity to have reached such a high level without him even realizing it.
It made all the time and money he’d spent collecting the blood of lightning-type Magical Creatures to strengthen himself worthwhile.
After composing himself, a thought suddenly flashed through Pei Ze’s mind, and he recited inwardly:
’Eye of Omniscience, analyze the principles of this Magic Item and quantify my elemental affinity.’
[Task created. Quantifying elemental affinity. Estimated cost: 25.7 energy units of Spiritual Power.]
The cost was negligible, so Pei Ze completed the task without hesitation.
The Eye of Omniscience quickly returned the information.
’Current Lightning Elemental Affinity: 14.1 (Max 25)’
Pei Ze smiled in satisfaction.
’This way, I can keep track of my lightning elemental affinity anytime I want. I won’t have to come here every time.’
Having gotten the information he wanted, Pei Ze didn’t linger and left the room.
Once outside, he saw it was still early and headed for the High Tower Academy.
Now that he had advanced to a Level 3 Wizard, he felt he ought to report to his teacher. It was also a good opportunity to discuss his participation in the Battle of the Holy Ring.
When Mo Weng saw Pei Ze again, he froze. For the first time, an expression of utter astonishment broke through his usually calm and solemn demeanor.
He had expected Pei Ze to become a Level 3 Wizard soon, but he never imagined that in just over a month, Pei Ze would have already crossed that threshold.
It was quite a while before Mo Weng snapped out of it, his gaze now filled with pride as he looked at Pei Ze.
"Good. Very good. You truly haven’t disappointed me."
Mo Weng said "good" twice, a stark contrast to his usual taciturn nature, which showed just how deeply moved he was.
"This settles it, then. Your participation in the Battle of the Holy Ring is confirmed."
Mo Weng thought for a moment, then with a slight flick of his wrist, tossed Pei Ze a Memory Crystal Ball.
"This contains information about igniting the Elemental Fire. Now that you’re a Level 3 Wizard, it’s time for you to learn about these things."
Pei Ze accepted the Memory Crystal Ball, a wave of delight washing over him.
’Perfect. This saves me the trouble of painstakingly gathering the information myself.’
"The Battle of the Holy Ring is just over a year away. You cannot afford to slack off during this time. You must strive to increase your power. The competition in the Battle of the Holy Ring is far more intense than you can imagine."
Pei Ze nodded solemnly.
’Almost everyone participating in the Battle of the Holy Ring is one of the Chosen. It goes without saying that a competition gathering nearly every genius Wizard in the Star Realm Alliance would be incredibly fierce.’
However, he wasn’t worried.
He still had a little over a year, which was more than enough time for his power to skyrocket once again.
By then, he was confident he could face even the Chosen head-on!
"Go on, now. Cultivate well. If you need anything, let me know. I will petition the Council. You are the only Wizard from our Wizard City participating in the Battle of the Holy Ring, so the Council will provide you with appropriate support."
"Yes, Teacher."
After Pei Ze left, Mo Weng pointed a finger. A silver hawk materialized from thin air, beat its wings, and soared swiftly into the sky.
That same evening, the news that Pei Ze had become a Level 3 Wizard and would participate in the Battle of the Holy Ring spread throughout Chenxi City, sending shockwaves through the populace.
...
「Turin Plane, Storm City.」
The once-thriving capital of the Storm Sect Country, a city formerly bustling with a constant stream of merchant caravans, had long since become cold and desolate.
An army tens of millions strong had surrounded Storm City so tightly that not even a fly could get through.
In a massive military encampment over a hundred kilometers from Storm City.
Yin Guang strode quickly through a dense warren of stone huts, stopping before a tower-like structure where he knocked lightly on the door.
"Come in."
A cool, detached voice called from within.
Yin Guang pushed the door open and entered. He looked up to see his cousin sitting at a stone table, slowly setting down a quill. On the table before her lay a newly completed Scroll.
Yin Xue noticed Yin Guang’s travel-worn appearance and raised an eyebrow. "What happened?"
Yin Guang snapped back to attention, took a deep breath, and said in a grave tone, "We just received news from Chenxi City. Pei Ze has become a Level 3 Wizard."
At his words, Yin Xue froze for a second before a faint smile touched her lips.
"Our junior is as shocking as ever. To think he’s broken through again so soon."
"Tell me about it. The entire city of Chenxi is buzzing with the news." A look of awe flashed in Yin Guang’s eyes.
By now, he had long since lost any desire to compete with Pei Ze.
The further he progressed on his own path as a Wizard, the more he understood just how difficult and tortuous it was. This only deepened his shock and admiration for Pei Ze, who had become a Level 3 Wizard at such a young age.
Besides the Chosen, there was probably no other Wizard who could become a Level 3 Wizard at the tender age of nineteen, as Pei Ze had.
As scions of a Wizard Clan, Yin Xue and Yin Guang had long suspected that the Dawn Council would do everything in its power to help Pei Ze become a Level 3 Wizard so he could qualify for the Battle of the Holy Ring.
