Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 406 - 210: Swift and Blazing, the Formidable Lightning ElementChapter 406: Chapter 210: Swift and Blazing, the Formidable Lightning Element
Just moments ago, she thought her life was over. Who would have thought that in the blink of an eye, the three powerful enemies who had surrounded her would be wiped out without a trace?
And it was all thanks to Pei Ze!
Snapping out of her daze, Tining looked at Pei Ze, her gemstone-like eyes filled with gratitude and a soft light.
"Thank you, Pei Ze. If it weren’t for you..."
Pei Ze waved a hand, cutting her off. "There’s no need for such formalities between us. I’m here to get you and your people out of here. Are you ready?"
"Yes." Tining nodded emphatically, her face breaking into a wide smile.
Ever since learning of the Insectoid invasion, the safety and survival of the Ancient Tree Deer Spirit Race had weighed on her heart like a giant stone, making it hard for her to breathe.
It wasn’t until this moment, with Pei Ze standing before her, that the burden weighing her down finally vanished completely.
Tining felt a weight lift from her shoulders, and a profound sense of security filled her heart.
"And your people?" Pei Ze asked.
Tining gave her antlers a little shake as if sensing for something, then pointed west. "That way."
"Let’s go get your people first, then we’ll leave this place."
Tining nodded happily, her good mood so infectious it seemed to radiate from her swaying antlers.
Suddenly, she recalled something and quickly added, "Oh, right! Xiaomu and the others’ lairs should still have a good amount of Insect Crystals and materials from the Insectoids. Should we go take it all?"
The Half Deer Maiden wasn’t one to turn the other cheek. She still bore a grudge for the sudden ambush by Xiaomu and the others.
Simply killing the three ringleaders wasn’t enough to satisfy her anger; she had to take all the resources their clans had accumulated as well.
Besides, once the Insectoids overran the plane, those resources would just fall into their hands anyway. It was better to let Pei Ze take everything and not let it go to waste.
Pei Ze’s eyes lit up at her words.
Building his Wizard Tower would require a colossal amount of money, and he was short on funds at the moment. Materials from the Insectoids, whether their Insect Crystals or other organic parts, were all quite valuable. The resources accumulated by three clans of Magical Creatures would certainly be worth a small fortune.
Pei Ze made his decision on the spot. After rendezvousing with Tining’s clan, they would go and plunder the territories of the other three clans before leaving the Ancient Forest Plane.
Before long, Pei Ze and Tining rendezvoused with the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits.
Upon seeing their clan leader, the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits immediately trotted over, gathering around Tining and repeatedly nuzzling her with their antlers.
"Don’t worry, I’m fine. Pei Ze saved me," Tining reassured her clan.
A few of the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits came over to Pei Ze and affectionately nuzzled him with their antlers as well, as if to express their gratitude.
Pei Ze smiled and gently stroked their antlers.
’In the future, these will all be part of my Wizard Tower’s fighting force.’
Afterward, Tining led Pei Ze to the territories of each of the three clans in turn.
Without their leaders, the remaining ordinary Magical Creatures—at the third level at most—were no match for two Fourth-level Powerhouses. Pei Ze easily plundered everything the three clans had accumulated.
Over several years of migration and flight, the three clans had suffered heavy casualties, but they had also killed a great number of Insectoids and stockpiled all the materials they had gathered from them.
Perhaps they had originally planned to use those resources to secure a territory for themselves once they reached a new plane, but now, it had all fallen into Pei Ze’s hands.
The Ancient Tree Deer Spirit Race also handed over all of their accumulated resources to Pei Ze.
Pei Ze did a rough calculation. All the resources combined were worth about 20,000 Magic Crystal Stones.
While it seemed like a considerable sum, it was a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of building a Wizard Tower.
After all, building even the most basic Wizard Tower cost at least a million Magic Crystal Stones!
This was the main reason why many Elemental Mages, even decades or centuries after their promotion, had still not built a Wizard Tower of their own.
The cost was simply astronomical!
If Pei Ze weren’t an Alchemist himself, he would never dream of being able to build a Wizard Tower in just a year or two.
