The family returned home, but the usual positive atmosphere was missing. Lily was standing in the center of the living room with her bowed, she didn’t dare to look at Leo today. The young man had not spoken to her even since they got in the car. Lily felt very guilty that she lost control in the frenzy and not only that she caused her Baba to get angry as well.
Snow had taken the twins upstairs. She knew that Leo would be punishing the eldest child and that was not something the younger ones should not witness.
Leo looked at Lily and asked calmly, "What did it feel like to beat him to this point where your own hands are injured?"
Lily raised her head and said, "I am sorry, Baba."
Leo slowly shook his head and said, "Lily, I am aware that you are feeling bad about it. I know you that much, you are my daughter. But I would like to know what you were thinking when you attacked him. Why did you lose control?"
Lily looked at him, the young man had really calmed down. She took a deep breath and replied, "He called grandma with a bad word and then cursed Ma. Even when I beat him he didn’t stop, which caused me to get angry. I tried to dislocate his jaw but he was clenching it so hard that I decided to break it into fragments. After that I don’t remember anything until Sister Zee pulled me back."
Leo nodded and said, "Fine from now on, you should try meditation in your daily workout and as for punishment, no martial art practice. You will focus on your music competition and Karting only till next year."
Lily was shocked, next year was still more than half a year away, which meant she would not be able to practise any of her martial skills for six months. Would that not cause her to grow rusty? She wanted to protest but she knew it would not work so she only sighed and nodded in agreement. Leo nodded and said, "That’s settled."
Lily signed and then went to her room. The young man didn’t console her, because he had just punished her.
Another thing that he had to deal with was this mess of Ian Marlin. That man not only confessed to killing Snow’s father but also tried to kill him. If that was not enough the identity of the man was not simple at all. However, now that he had already given out the instructions to Alpha. As for what they were going to do after finding the evidence it has nothing to do with him.
As he was thinking about introducing meditation to Lily, Snow came down from the second floor. She sat down beside him and asked, "So do you think that meditation would be able to give her some patience?"
The young man had no idea on how to answer her after all, he didn’t know how a child’s brain works. Feeling unsure he sighed, "I have no idea."
Snow nodded and said , "That’s only fair because even though her mind is ahead of her peers she is still five years old and her brain is still growing. While I am not against this idea, we need to guide her through it all patiently. You know what I mean, right?"
Leo hummed, he was aware why Snow was getting so worried because this was the first time ever that he got angry with Lily. He patted the back of his wife’s hand and answered, "Don’t worry, I was not angry with her. I was upset because I had forgotten that she is still a child. My expectations increased a bit too much and that caused me to lose my composure as well. I will apologize to her later, for now let her calm down. Some space and silence can help us process things better."
Snow nodded and reminded him, "The twins are missing you."
Leo nodded and replied, "I will go and check on them. Can you make me a cup of coffee?"
Snow nodded with a smile. Leo stood up and went upstairs on the way he stopped at Lily’s room. She saw him and turned her gaze away. Leo walked up to her side, bent down and kissed her forehead as he mumbled , "I love you, my little goblin."
Lily looked at him and then hugged his waist as she plunged her head in his abdomen. She was upset and thought that because she lost control Leo didn’t love her anymore. This hug had cleared all those thoughts from her mind. Leo also knew that his daughter would be feeling down so he came over to sort this out first and after consoling her a little he said, "The punishment is still on."
Lily chuckled. Then Leo patted her back and told hear to rest first as he needed to go and visit the young ones too.
The room of the twins was something different. As soon as one of them was awake the other would wake up too and then they would start chatting non-stop. Even now, they were chatting only.
Elena said, "Baba got angee."
Jules hummed like an old man and replied, "Big Sis, did something wong."
Leo frowned and walked up to the bed and then he said, "Don’t talk about your big sister like this. She didn’t do anything deliberately. Do you understand that?"
The twins nodded like chicks pecking on grains. Leo sighed and said, "You two need to understand sometimes people make mistakes and as family we need not criticize the others but we need to help them correct it. Nobody is perfect. Okay?"
Elena hummed and said, "Yes, Baba."
Leo rubbed her head and played with the two for more than an hour. Snow came over with a tray. She signed and said, "You forgot about the coffee."
The young man smiled and said, "Sorry."
A few minutes later Lily also came over. Her mood was better than before. The family calmed down and Elena said, "Baba play Piano, for Elle?"
