Chapter 618 - Alpha is smiling for the first time!

Chapter 618: Chapter 618 - Alpha is smiling for the first time!

Voren knew his pack members loved Seraphine, but this was more than he expected.

Their excitement mirrored his own when he first found out Seraphine was pregnant, the same raw, unfiltered joy that had nearly brought him to his knees.

But at the mention of the Blood Moon festival, his mind drifted to Espe’s warning, a constant refrain that had echoed in his thoughts. ’Mommy must be pregnant before them.’

Well, Voren still wanted to experience the mate bond with his wife. There were things they could only feel through that sacred connection including marking each other, and feeling each other’s pain, anger, happiness and so much more.

How proud he would feel to have his mark elegantly on her neck, a permanent declaration of their union, and vice versa. The thought sent a thrill through him.

"We gonna have twin heirs for the first time!" Another pack member yelled joyfully, his voice carrying above the din. Some of them ran toward Seraphine, their faces flushed with excitement. "Luna, you should go rest! Alcohol isn’t good for babies!"

Indeed, no pack had ever had twin heirs before. The Grimroot pack was going to be the first, and it was all going to be from the only woman Voren had loved all his life. The significance of that wasn’t lost on anyone.

"Alpha is smiling for the first time!" Another warrior yelled, pointing at Voren with a grin.

All gazes pinned on Voren, and he could not hide his laughter this time. The grumpy Alpha laughed heartily in front of his pack members for the first time since they had ever known him.

The sound was genuine, warm, completely unguarded. To them, it was all because of Seraphine. She had brought balance to the pack, had melted the ice around their Alpha’s heart.

Now, they could walk with their heads high because there was someone to stand up to Voren if his wolf got out of control again. Someone who could calm the storm, who could reach the man beneath the beast.

"Yes!" Others joined in, their voices rising in agreement.

Seraphine was crying tears of joy, her cheeks wet with emotion. This kind of love was one she had never experienced before. She looked around at the faces of the pack members, people she barely knew, who had welcomed her with open arms and open hearts. They didn’t care about her struggles, her past, her mistakes. They only knew her as their Luna, and that was enough.

Remembering her pregnancy at the Centenary pack, it was as if the child had been solely hers.

There was no excitement from Ravyn or the pack members, only accusations that she had used the pregnancy to trap Ravyn into giving her the title of Luna.

She had lived soulless, even as she continued to pour all her love into the pack. Every smile had been forced, every gesture of kindness met with suspicion.

Here, it felt like the pregnancy belonged to the pack, and not just to her and Voren. The collective joy, and shared excitement was overwhelming in the best possible way.

Before she could utter a word, Voren swept her into his arms, cradling her against his chest like she was the most precious thing in the world. The gesture earned more cheers from the already bewildered pack members, their excitement reaching fever pitch.

"We should record this! Alpha Voren is a romantic! He treats our Luna like his queen!" Someone shouted, and a ripple of laughter spread through the crowd.

Voren quickly made his way to the elevator, eager to escape the endless excitement of his pack members. He informed Corvine as he passed, his voice carrying a note of command. "Kael will show you to your room. And remember, your training starts at 3 am."

Corvine choked on the grilled meat in his mouth, his eyes widening in disbelief. While he had thought of exploring the Grimroot pack and having a good rest, Voren was already planning his training schedule with military precision.

The Co-Alpha looked like he wanted to protest, but Voren was already stepping into the elevator, the doors sliding shut behind him.

When Voren stepped out of the elevator on his floor, Seraphine suddenly asked, her voice muffled against his chest, "Where are the kids?"

Voren could not worry about the kids at a time like this. His focus was entirely on the woman in his arms. "Don’t worry about them." His voice was gentle, reassuring. "They are home."

Indeed, this was the safest place for either Seraphine or the kids. The Grimroot pack was a fortress, impenetrable and secure. There was no point allowing worry to take over her.

As soon as the doors to Voren’s room slid open, Seraphine’s jaws dropped. Her eyes swept across the space, the luxurious furnishings, the floor-to-ceiling windows, the sprawling layout that spoke of power and elegance. "V, now I feel as if I don’t know you at all." Her voice was filled with wonder.

She wiggled out of his arms and rushed to the balcony, catching a glimpse of the excited pack members below. The party was still in full swing, the music and cheers rising like a wave.

"It’s so enchanting when you watch the pack from here!" She yelled like a little child, her voice full of innocent joy, knowing it would be swallowed by the excited cheers and music from below.

The view was breathtaking, the floating lights still drifting in the distance, the crystalline structures gleaming, the crowd of pack members dancing and celebrating.

Voren was about to say something, a loving remark about how beautiful she looked in the soft light, when his doorbell rang.

Seraphine turned around immediately, her brow furrowing. "Are you expecting anyone?"

Voren shook his head with confusion, his hand already moving toward the door. He had no idea who could be visiting at this hour. Everyone was at the party, celebrating. His mind raced through possibilities, but none of them made sense.

He made his way to the door and pulled it open, stunned by the person standing in front of it.
