Lancelot turned his head slowly. He locked his glowing purple eye directly onto Lord Voss's metal mask. The stare was incredibly intense. It felt like a physical weight pressing down on the corrupt politician. Lord Voss swallowed hard.

"I do not require your suggestions," Lancelot declared mercilessly. "My intelligence network does not chase basic rumors. We follow absolute facts. We will locate the true mastermind. We will find the exact location of the Neitherworld Devil Seed. And when we find them, we will eradicate them completely. There will be no trial. There will be no public spectacle. There will only be ash."

The room remained totally silent. The masked lords nodded their heads in agreement. They were absolutely terrified of Lancelot. They accepted his authority without a single argument.

King Arthur stood up from his chair. He looked at the group.

"The plan is set," King Arthur announced. His voice echoed with finality. "The Empire will tighten its internal security. We will protect the capital city. Archduke Lancelot will command the global hunt for the war criminals. We will wait for his intelligence reports. This meeting is officially adjourned."

The masked lords began to stand up. They activated their personal teleportation spells. Brilliant flashes of light filled the dark room. One by one, the politicians vanished from the pocket dimension. They returned to their luxurious mansions and fancy offices.

The Emperor looked at Lancelot one last time. He gave a firm nod of approval. Then, the Emperor turned and walked out through a hidden door.

Lancelot sat completely alone at the massive obsidian table. The room was totally quiet. The single magical lamp flickered softly.

Ken Eliot let his rigid posture completely collapse. He slouched his shoulders forward. He leaned his elbows heavily on the stone table. He rested his chin on his hands. He let out a massive, highly exaggerated groan of pure misery.

"That was incredibly boring," Ken complained lazily to the empty room. "I sat in that terrible chair for thirty whole minutes. My back is in total agony. I am never attending a political meeting again. I need to hire a stunt double to go to these things for me."

He slowly stood up. He rubbed his lower back. He stretched his arms. The high-collared black cloak rustled softly.

"I need to go back to the estate," Ken mumbled. "Naomi promised me a sandwich later. And I really want to finish my cartoon. The main character still hasn't fired his energy beam. I have to know what happens."

Ken raised his right hand. He snapped his fingers lazily. Snap.

The dark shadows wrapped entirely around his body. The glowing purple eye faded away into nothingness. Lancelot completely vanished from the pocket dimension. The room was left totally empty and completely silent.

Ken teleported directly back into the bathroom of the 13th Unit estate. He swapped places with his magical clone. The clone popped into harmless mana. Ken washed his hands in the sink. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. He gave himself a big, goofy smile.

He unlocked the bathroom door. He shuffled down the hallway. He dragged his shoes on the floorboards. Scuff. Scuff. Scuff. He walked back into the living room.

The girls were still there. Naomi looked up and smiled warmly. "Are you feeling better, Ken?"

"Much better," Ken cheered lazily. He flopped onto the soft sofa. He grabbed a potato chip. "My stomach is completely cured. Did I miss anything?"

"Just the end of the news," Naomi chuckled. She playfully tossed a small pillow at him. "You missed all the boring political stuff. You can go back to your cartoons."

"Perfect," Ken grinned happily. He leaned back against the cushions. He felt incredibly safe. His secret was intact. The global hunt for the villains was underway. But for today, the lazy boy was completely ready to just relax with his noisy, wonderful family.

---

The morning sun shined brightly over the capital city. The sky was a perfect, clear blue. Small white clouds drifted lazily across the sky. The air felt warm and pleasant. The streets were totally quiet. The citizens enjoyed a peaceful day.

A royal messenger walked down the dirt road. He wore a pristine white uniform. The uniform had shiny gold buttons. He carried a small silver tray in his hands. A single golden envelope rested on the tray. The envelope looked very expensive. It had a bright red wax seal on the back. The seal displayed the official imperial crest.

The messenger stopped. He stood in front of a large iron gate. The gate belonged to the 13th Unit estate. He reached out with a white-gloved hand. He rang a small silver bell attached to the gate. The bell chimed loudly. Ding. Ding.

Zinia walked across the courtyard. The strong earth mage wore her dark blue combat pants. She wore a simple gray training shirt. She opened the iron gate. She looked at the messenger.

The messenger bowed deeply. He held out the silver tray. He offered the golden envelope to Zinia.

"This is an official decree from the Upper Council," the messenger stated formally. "It requires the immediate attention of Princess Iris."

Zinia nodded her head. She picked up the golden envelope. "I will deliver it to her. Thank you."

The messenger bowed again. He turned around. He walked away down the dirt road. Zinia closed the iron gate. The gate clicked shut. She walked back toward the main house. She held the envelope carefully.

Inside the main house, the living room was incredibly cozy. Sunlight poured through the large glass windows. The room felt entirely safe.

Ken Eliot sat on the large, soft sofa. He slouched his shoulders as far as they could possibly go. He leaned his back deep into the cushions. He wore his navy blue suit pants. His white dress shirt hung completely untucked over his belt. He did not wear a tie today. His black hair stuck out in wild, messy spikes. He looked incredibly lazy.

He held a massive bag of sour cream and onion potato chips in his lap. He reached his right hand into the bag. He pulled out a large, salty chip. He tossed the chip high into the air. He opened his mouth. He caught the chip perfectly on his tongue.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.

He chewed the potato chip loudly. He smiled a big, goofy smile. He let out a long, satisfied sigh.

"This is the absolute best activity," Ken mumbled lazily to himself. He stared at the white ceiling. "Sitting on a comfortable couch is my favorite hobby. I am a professional couch inspector. I give this couch a perfect rating. I never want to stand up again."

Naomi sat right next to him on the sofa. She wore comfortable dark pants. She wore a plain black shirt. Her bright red hair was tied back in a neat ponytail. She did not yell at him today. She did not scowl. She did not tell him to tuck his shirt in.

Her attitude toward him had changed completely. She smiled a very warm, incredibly fond smile. Her green eyes sparkled with genuine affection. She playfully bumped her shoulder against his arm.
