"We will continue to track them, Boss," Karna promised. "We will find out exactly what they are planning. We will eliminate them before they can execute their new plot."
Ken stared at the floorboards. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He slouched his shoulders just a tiny bit. The serious look faded slightly. A small, lazy smirk touched his lips.
"Tracking them is fine, Karna," Ken said softly. "But we have a much bigger, much more annoying problem right now."
Ken reached into the inside pocket of his navy blue suit jacket. He pulled his hand out. He held something in his fingers.
"The Black Magicians are annoying," Ken stated lazily. "But the corrupt politicians in this city are incredibly stupid."
Ken held his hand out toward the spymaster. He wanted to show Karna exactly what he had found in the mail that morning. It was a piece of paper that made absolutely no logical sense. It was a piece of paper that changed the entire dynamic of the international summit.
---
Ken Eliot held his hand out. He held a crisp, shiny white envelope. The paper looked incredibly expensive. It looked flawless. A bright red wax seal rested on the back of the envelope. The seal displayed the official, majestic crest of the Belmontia Empire.
"Look at this," Ken said lazily. He handed the envelope to Karna.
Karna stepped forward. He took the envelope from his master. The spymaster looked at the red wax seal. He turned the envelope over. He read the elegant, flowing black text written on the front.
Karna’s silver eyes widened in pure, unfiltered shock. His flawless, professional composure cracked for a single second. He stared at the name written on the paper.
"Boss," Karna stated. His voice sounded deeply confused. "This is an official invitation letter. It is an invitation to the international summit."
"I know," Ken agreed casually. He leaned back against his wooden desk. He crossed one foot over the other.
"This summit is strictly reserved for the highest authorities in the world," Karna explained quickly. His analytical mind raced. "The guest list is completely exclusive. The Emperor of Belmontia will be there. The King of Zenith will be there. The Pope of Celestia will be there. Only Imperial family members and high-ranking ministers are permitted to enter the grand chamber."
Karna tapped the front of the envelope. He pointed directly at the black ink.
"Your name is on this letter, Boss," Karna said. He looked at Ken. "It explicitly invites Ken Eliot to the summit. You are listed as a special, required guest."
Ken let out a massive, dramatic yawn. He stretched his arms high above his head. His back popped quietly. He slouched his shoulders as far as they could possibly go.

"I know," Ken mumbled lazily. "It is incredibly annoying. I am just a commoner servant. I wear cheap shoes. My shirt is completely untucked. I do not have a fancy title. I do not even own a proper necktie. Servants do not get invited to global diplomatic meetings."
Karna frowned deeply. His sharp mind processed the information. He looked at the red wax seal again.
"This is statistically impossible," Karna stated firmly. His silver eyes narrowed into dangerous slits. "A commoner is never invited to an event of this magnitude. The security protocols are absolute. The royal guards would never allow a servant to sit at the same table as the King of Felacia or the Sultan of Albino."
Karna looked directly at his master. "Someone intentionally placed your name on the official guest list, Boss. Someone bypassed the highest levels of imperial security just to send you this specific invitation."
"Exactly," Ken nodded happily. He gave a goofy, relaxed smile. "It is a total setup."
Ken reached into his pocket. He pulled out a small, colorful bag of gummy worms. He opened the bag with a soft rustle. He pulled out a red gummy worm. He popped it into his mouth. He chewed it slowly.
"You see, Karna," Ken explained casually. He used his lazy anime logic. "The corrupt politicians in the Upper Council are panicking. The entire continent is furious about the Solurious bomb. The foreign kings are demanding answers. The politicians need a scapegoat. They need someone to take the blame for the explosion."
Ken swallowed his candy. He pointed a lazy finger at the white envelope.
"They want to frame the 13th Unit," Ken deduced smoothly. "They hate Princess Iris. They want to ruin her campaign. But they cannot directly accuse a Princess without proof. So, they decided to target her weakest, messiest servant. They decided to target me."
Karna listened closely. He completely understood the political strategy.
"They invited me to the summit," Ken continued. He slouched even further. "They want to trap me in a massive room full of angry world leaders. They want the King of Zulfara to yell at me. They want to pressure me. They think I am just a weak, clumsy boy. They think I will panic. They think I will cry and accidentally confess to a crime I did not commit."
Ken let out another loud sigh. He stared at the ceiling.
"They probably want to claim that I sneaked into the eastern mountains and fired the weapon," Ken mumbled lazily. "They want to say I am a secret terrorist. It is a very basic, very boring frame-up job. They just want to use me as a convenient shield to protect their own corrupt bank accounts."
Karna stared at the invitation letter. He held the expensive paper in his hand.
A slow, incredibly arrogant smirk spread across the spymaster's handsome face. His silver eyes sparkled with pure, unfiltered amusement. He actually let out a soft, dark chuckle. The sound was incredibly confident.
"They are trying to frame you?" Karna asked. He laughed quietly again. "They want to trap you in a room full of world leaders?"
"Yes," Ken agreed cheerfully. He ate a green gummy worm. "They think they can bully me. They think they hold all the winning cards."
Karna smiled a very smug, highly dangerous smile. He looked at his master. He knew the absolute truth.
Karna knew Ken Eliot was not a weak servant. Karna knew Ken was the Sovereign. Karna knew his master possessed infinite, god-like power. He knew Ken could completely erase the entire planet with a single, quiet whisper. He knew Ken could melt the entire Upper Council building into a puddle of cheese if he wanted to.
"If they are indeed trying to frame you, Boss," Karna remarked smoothly. His voice dripped with absolute confidence. "They are the biggest fools alive."
Ken chuckled. He liked Karna's assessment. It was completely accurate.
"They are definitely fools," Ken agreed lazily. "But they are making my schedule very complicated. Now I have to go to the palace. I have to stand in a room for hours. I have to listen to old men argue about borders and trade agreements. It is going to be incredibly boring. I am going to miss my afternoon nap entirely."
Karna offered a crisp, perfect bow. "Do you wish for me to intervene, Boss? I can quietly eliminate the politicians who sent this letter. I can ensure the summit is canceled."
