Jill
I walked into Morrigan's office buzzed and annoyed from the party. Morrigan would be here soon, but I was done. Too many people, too much noise, and I'm definitely drunk, not buzzed. And I'm definitely annoyed at myself, too…
I greatly enjoyed talking with Bubie, Ulfric, Wanda, and Horatio, comparing our opinions on cyberware, tactics, and priority targets. Ulfric and Horatio argued that it's better to set up a defensive perimeter first and move forward as a group, while Bubie and Wanda said that's a great way to get shot fast. They argued rapid saturation and constant communication was the best way to clear a hot zone, then they could set up a perimeter. I leaned more towards Bubie and Wanda, though I did see merit in Ulfric and Horatio's idea, especially if we had a large number of troops on hand.
They each got me to agree to swing by to train with them or do a sim with their men. Apparently, I would be a Samurai level threat that they could train against, which was a nice confidence booster.
I enjoyed talking with the other girls from the Niltmore, as well. Desiree had plenty of horror stories of different customers, managers, even the old security contracts. Sands, I was so glad we never had to go undercover in a hotel, I would have killed someone, or more than likely myself, due to the chip.
Penny was cute, hiding in her oversized turtle-neck sweater. I have been trying to keep my eye out for… those I might consider my type, considering Babushka’s pestering. Opal was damn sexy, yet she gave off predator over partner, plus she was already with Vickie, so yuck. And Daliah looked at everyone as if they were choice beef, only stopping when Roger entered her sight and arms. They got along like fire and alcohol, so good for him.
Penny, though. She was soft looking. Not to say she was weak, I couldn't know that, but she looked cozy. Her freckles were cute, the way she fidgeted made me want to hug her. Not to mention how big she was… not tall, she was shorter than me by a solid eight inches, at least. It was her… tits that were huge.
And after talking to her, I might have developed a crush? Maybe I was too gay for my own good. Sands, I don't know, she was just…
I sighed heavily as I laid down on the huge bean bag. I got rejected, pretty soundly, too. Apparently, she was very attached to the Hotel and the women in it. While Harmony did say that I was more than welcome to join them, more than one body at a time sounded like too much for me and my burgeoning sexuality. That was a deal breaker for Penny, it seemed. I was just thankful none of my family teased me for getting dumped and running away... If Cody tried, I would have forced a bottle of whiskey down him and thrown him into The Lower Six myself.
Before my thoughts could wander further, imagining Cody helpless against whomever Daliah would assign to him, Morrigan walked in, looking chipper and carrying two large red plastic cups. She passed one to me as she flopped onto another bean bag. “Rought night?” She asked cheekily.
I took a sip of the drink she gave me, then a mouthful of the gingery mule once I realized it wasn’t water. “Can we focus on the upgrades, Blue? Please?” Sands, I sounded pathetic…
Morrigan sighed, but relented as she pulled up the holo display of me. “So, currently you are rocking my Viper Mark Three series limbs, compatible to a lower Class II purchase.” The hologram highlights my limbs, a much needed upgrade considering how I fared against the Bestle ambush. “Your arms are technically simple, with the most complicated parts being their ability to maintain their strength while also being able to shift into their different weapons. Your legs were more fun, using shifting plates to elongate your reach or increase your speed. I will have their direct upgrades ready for installation before the surgery occurs, so you can get everything all at once. While more complicated, they are still pretty simple compared to what we are planning next.”
The hologram shifted to show a bunch of armor parts surrounding my form, akin to the heavy plate armor of old mixed with futuristic mech-punk theory. “The dimensional shunting anchors will need to be placed inside your body at these points here,” five points were highlighted, two on my shoulders, two on my hips, and one on my head, “in order for the armor to equip itself instantly, or as close to that last as I can get right now. The armor itself will be made of Class III materials and forged to be as small as possible in order to be as mobile as possible. With my current skills, you can barely fit inside a normal office building in full armor. Bludgeoning resistance, shock absorbers, inertia dampeners, climate control, the works.” There were many more defenses as well, but that list looked to be as long as I was tall.
“As for specific armaments, you have options. Not as many as I would like, but I have to take into account "collateral damage".” Morrigan pouted hard at that phrase, making me giggle at her puffy cheeks.
“I still want to do melee, obviously. And if the armor is going to be as sturdy as you say, then I shouldn't need too much in the way of ranged options.” I adjusted the hologram to show the arm pieces. They were sleek metal sleeves with groves and geometrical designs that I made sure would be RGB capable as a nod to my favorite streamer, Amby, as was the rest of the armor, with that ability to hold three preprogrammed armaments each, that were stored in the dimensional storage space.
I had two pairs of them set already, a plasma sheathed two-tined blade and a gravity piston gauntlet type thing, similar to Cari's weapon, in fact. Just, without the spatial ruptures, something Morrigan said she was still working on making safe for such miniaturized usage.
I flicked between a more robust chain gun, a multi-barreled rocket launcher, or a heavy ten inch cannon. I have fired all three in the sims Morrigan made, and I loved the feeling of each. The recoil, the vibrations, the pure destruction of each were all different, and the feedback of each satisfying in their own way. I understood that I could reequip myself with the other if I needed to, but that would be a whole process and not something I could do on the fly.
I sighed and actually had to put some thought into my future. If I became a war machine like this, what are my prospects? I mean, I could join the Box as a specialist, but that would mean I would take jobs, and that sounded too close to my past life. I could station myself on the Pandora-
I sat up at that thought, not as gracefully as I would have liked, but I was drunk, sue me. I could be the strike team lead in dealing with hives and antithesis. Working with the troops on the ground, building my own squad of elites, training with them, growing with them, maybe even….. It would mean I didn't have to deal with corpo idiots again. And it meant I got to bother Victor when he was on it…
I smiled to myself as the idea took root. I chose a chain gun and the ten inch cannon with the intention of using them to back up my squad. You know, once I made it.
The shoulder mounded guns would be easy, heavy shotguns with sabot flechette HE rounds to deal with fliers and lower numbered models, or smaller, squishier human targets. Slightly below those would be jump jet thrusters, which would allow me to move even faster. My leg armor would be… slightly complicated. I still wanted it to shift into blades, but it would also have to have jet boosters for added mobility, not to mention stabilizing braces for the cannon. I understood that blade legs on a personal mech would be silly, but I would not compromise on this.
“Easily achievable with a nanite substructure, Stabby.” Morrigan said in response to my frustration in trying to understand how this would work. “Okay, so. We have the main armaments, the armor itself, mobility options. Do you want a deployable shield as well as a personal one?”
“Is it hard-light like Buddy's?” I asked, trying to imagine the shield.
“Yeah.” She nodded as the hologram shifted, showing a short, fluffy tail near my lower back. “This shoots a shield generator into the ground which projects a preprogrammed hardlight construct around it. With the proper IFF, allies can shoot through it. It will hold its charge for twelve hours under light usage, or under heavy usage for two. It is slightly mobile, as it can roll, but its top speed is pretty slow compared to yours”
“Yeah, that sounds good.” I said as I stood, ignoring the fact that she's adding a rabbit tail to my badass armor. It did look cute, though… would it help me get a date?
The hologram shifted to the helmet next. It was a simple design, a blank face mask and helm that I could shape how I wish later, filled with sensor equipment. “Do you want to design it now, or later?” She asked with a hint of a smirk.
I went to take a sip of my drink and discovered that I had finished it already. When did that happen? Oh well, whatever. For some reason, bunnies were on my mind, so I put bunny ears on the helmet, causing me to giggle. They didn't look quite right, so I made them flop down to the side of the helmet. That looked better, cuter too.
Then the face… all I could think of were bunnies, so I spent… I don't know how long, making a robo-bunny mask that I was satisfied with. I heard Morrigan cackle silently next to me, but I chose to ignore it. This made me happy, so fuck it.
“Well,” Morrigan started after reigning her laughter in, “the ears certainly make adding the sensor equipment easier. Anything else you can think of?”
I shook my head, feeling the alcohol hitting me hard. I stepped back and admired my future form. “Hey, Blue? Do you think… Could you make me an armor for a squad I could lead? Like, it doesn't need to be this great, if that's too much, but something that would be enough to identify us as a squad. Hehe, bunny squad. Murder bunny squad.”
As I was giggling to myself, I heard another voice giggle with me, one that was not Morrigan's. I turned quickly, which was a mistake as my vision swam, but I felt soft, firm arms catch me before I fell. As my vision adjusted, I saw a head of red hair and felt her breasts squish into me and I saw her green eyes look into mine.
She was very red as she started speaking rapidly at me. I caught an apology, something about fear, but I heard the last bit loud and clear. “-and!... I would be interested in spending a night with just you, if you're okay with it…”
I didn't think about what to say as I bent down and kissed her. Sands, she was soft and tasted like berries. I felt Morrigan push us from behind, shooing us out of her office.
I didn't remember the next bit too well. We made our way to my room, with not a single person looking at us stumbling through the hall. I remember pulling off her sweater and skirt and gasping, seeing her defined abdomen and her very lacy blue undergarments.
The last thing I remembered clearly was the shift in her eyes. As I pulled away from another kiss, I saw her eyes change from something soft, shy even, to something predatory. A gaze filled with desire directed solely at me.
For my viewers, the Amby in question is, indeed, the one and only MC of A Song of Cinnamin and Spice, by Thisismyfatenow. Per Fate, Amby has been streaming for a very long time, and Jill, known as Bitchcake in her streams, has been limited to Emote only mode for years. Even now, she watches both Amby's and CinnaByte's streams whenever they start.
