Moira Lynch stored away the breakfast and, in the same motion, took out her own steamed buns.

This time, they were pork crackling buns.

The savory aroma of the pork cracklings, paired with a Chinese cabbage filling and her own expert craftsmanship—the flavor was simply out of this world.

Paired with a bag of Fuling pickled mustard greens, it was a match made in heaven.

As Moira Lynch ate, she sighed inwardly. ’As expected of something I made myself. This flavor is just incredible.’

Everyone else was eating breakfasts that were off-the-charts sweet.

Into this environment, a sudden, incongruous, and fragrant aroma drifted.

Many people noticed Moira Lynch in the corner.

Watching her show off, pulling out one bun after another, they couldn’t help but swallow hard.

Even with the game’s help, players could barely scrape by, let alone eat such large, fluffy white-flour buns.

However, this was the cafeteria, and more importantly, it was Sea Sprite territory. If they caused trouble now, they were afraid they might lose their right to play the game.

Moira Lynch took a sip of milk, then pulled out a third bun and began to eat.

Just then, she suddenly sensed someone across from her.

Looking up, she met the eyes of MoonlitHorizon.

"Why aren’t you eating the food the Sea Sprites provided? Don’t you like it?"

As MoonlitHorizon spoke, her eyes were glued to the half-eaten bun in Moira Lynch’s hand.

Thin skin, generous filling. At such a close distance, the aroma was even more intense.

"It’s not that I don’t like it, I just feel more like having buns," Moira Lynch said casually.

MoonlitHorizon chuckled. "Oh, so that’s how it is."

While she spoke, her gaze remained fixed on Moira Lynch, saying nothing more.

"Aren’t you going to eat?" Moira Lynch asked.

She had just seen this person collect a meal, immediately store it away, and then head straight for her. The objective was obvious.

"I’m not hungry," MoonlitHorizon said.

"Oh."

Moira Lynch acknowledged her, then looked away and continued eating her bun.

Hearing such a cold reply, the smile on MoonlitHorizon’s face froze for a second.

’Hey, aren’t you going to ask a few more questions?’

She had originally thought the other girl might politely offer her a bun, at which point she would gracefully accept.

But this person didn’t play by the rules at all.

Watching Moira Lynch eat with such gusto, MoonlitHorizon’s stomach started to GRUMBLE.

She looked at Moira Lynch again. ’My stomach’s already making noises like this. If she doesn’t say something now, it’s just not right.’

However, she was disappointed once again.

Moira Lynch acted as if she hadn’t heard a thing, continuing to devour her food with her head down.

Soon, she had finished her third bun and drank all her milk.

’Patted her stomach. Only half-full. ’I’ll eat two more. After all, the work during the day is really draining. Can’t sell myself short.’’

When MoonlitHorizon saw Moira Lynch take out another new bun, she thought it was for her. She was just about to say a few polite words before reaching out to take it.

But just as she was about to extend her hand, she saw Moira Lynch start eating it herself, making her attempted gesture look utterly clownish.

"You’re eating so much all by yourself. Aren’t you afraid you’ll get a stomachache? You’re still young, you know. If you ruin your appetite, it’ll affect you for the rest of your life," MoonlitHorizon said with a tone of grave concern.

Moira Lynch looked up, blinked, and said, "I’m not full at all. I’m still a growing girl, so it’s normal to eat a lot. Those few just now only got me to half-full."

MoonlitHorizon choked on her words, a flash of anger in her eyes, but she quickly regained her composure.

Just then, MoonlitHorizon’s stomach rumbled again.

MoonlitHorizon deliberately clutched her stomach, feigning embarrassment. "Oh dear, watching you eat so heartily has made me a little hungry too."

"If you’re hungry, then eat. You should have gotten a meal just now," Moira Lynch said bluntly.

MoonlitHorizon put on a troubled expression. "Well, actually, I have diabetes. I can’t eat things that are this sweet."

"You have diabetes? Then why didn’t you buy a special Healing Potion from SoySauceDrunkard’s shop? It’s very dangerous to enter the game with a medical condition like that."

Moira Lynch said this with a tone of grave concern.

Her expression, her gaze, it all seemed to say, ’You’re a grown-up. How can you be less sensible than a child like me?’

MoonlitHorizon gave a dry laugh. "Well, it’s not like I could get one. You... you must have brought a lot of buns, right? Could you possibly..."

Unsure if Moira Lynch was genuinely clueless or just playing dumb, she decided to state her purpose directly.

’I’ve already put it this way, and I’m a sick person. She can’t possibly refuse, can she?’

Moira Lynch did not, in fact, refuse.

"I do have some."

At these words, MoonlitHorizon’s face lit up. ’I knew it.’

"Since you can’t eat sweet things, how about you trade your meal with me? What do you think?"

The corners of Moira Lynch’s mouth turned up, her eyes clear and bright, as if to say, ’See? Isn’t my idea great?’

"You... but don’t you dislike sweets?" MoonlitHorizon asked, surprised.

"I never said I disliked them." Moira Lynch polished off the bun in her hand in a few quick bites, but she didn’t take out any more.

"I just don’t like eating things that are too sweet in the morning. Besides, I don’t have diabetes."

Looking at the hesitant MoonlitHorizon, Moira Lynch pressed on, "So, wanna trade? Huh? For one breakfast, I’ll give you two big buns. I made them myself, I guarantee they’re thin-skinned with a generous filling. You’ll be craving a second one after you eat the first."

Every pig in her inventory space was plump and healthy, each capable of yielding a lot of lard.

Combined with the fat from the pigs, cows, and sheep she had collected at Serene Ranch,

The rendered oil she had was enough to last her for several hundred years.

After rendering the pork lard and making cracklings, she kept a portion for herself and listed the rest for sale.

As for the beef and lamb fat, she hadn’t touched it yet.

While MoonlitHorizon was still hesitating, others who had been watching the situation couldn’t sit still any longer.

A refined-looking young man was the first to walk over. "Hello, I haven’t touched my breakfast. Would you be willing to trade with me?"

Moira Lynch looked at the refined young man before her. He had foxy eyes, fair skin, and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses perched on his face.

’If he were wearing a suit, or maybe a white lab coat, wouldn’t he be the perfect picture of a refined scoundrel?’

For some reason, Moira Lynch felt that the man’s face was vaguely familiar.

"Sure."

Moira Lynch nodded readily and took two steaming hot buns from her inventory.

Seeing the two steaming buns, a smile touched the refined young man’s face.

"By the way, would it be possible to continue trading food with you in the future?" the young man asked.

He had never liked sweets. Every time he ate them, he’d feel unwell for days. Yesterday, he had eaten them for two meals in a row, and even now, his stomach felt full of undigested cake. Even his breath smelled of it.
