Joe wasn’t entirely useless, however. He pointed Moira Lynch in a certain direction.

For his safety, Joe’s parents had meticulously selected the location for his house.

The location seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but it was actually quite convenient, whether you wanted to get to a populated area, a hospital, or anywhere else.

As for security, there was a security company not far from his residence. They patrolled the vicinity to protect their brand’s reputation.

Otherwise, if news spread on the Astranet about someone getting into trouble while living near the security company, their business would be finished.

Over the past three days, those people had come searching for survivors, but since Joe had turned into a table, he was never found.

Joe had wanted to go find them, but he was too stuffed to move and could only wait.

Moira Lynch followed Joe’s directions and found the security company.

However, when she arrived near the company, she was dumbfounded by the scene before her.

’This pitch-black, spike-covered building is the security company? Are you sure it’s not a bunker?’

The area was littered with signs of battle. The air was thick with the smell of explosives, and there were even corpses in the distance.

Just as Moira Lynch was about to get closer, she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

’There are so many timed bombs buried here.’

The bombs were well-hidden and linked together in a chain reaction; if one was triggered, the rest would activate as well.

Before Moira Lynch’s spiritual power, however, the bombs had nowhere to hide.

Just as Moira Lynch was preparing to cross the dangerous area, a person suddenly appeared behind her. "It’s dangerous ahead. Please come with me."

Moira Lynch turned at the sound of the voice to see a man standing behind her. He was fully armed, spattered with blood, and wore a grim expression.

"Did you come out of there?" Moira Lynch pointed to the spiky black bunker not far away.

The man nodded and said gravely, "Please, come with me. We don’t know when those pirates will attack again."

Speak of the devil.

The words had barely left his mouth when the roar of engines echoed in the distance.

Then Moira Lynch saw several Flying Devices pass overhead, dropping black objects one after another.

Before she could even react to the sight, the man grabbed her and started running.

Pulled wasn’t the right word. To be precise, he’d slung her over his shoulder like a sack of cargo and carried her off.

The world spun around Moira Lynch, and her vision blurred and shook violently. By the time she came to her senses, she was in a metal corridor.

The continuous sound of explosions rumbled from outside.

As they descended, the sounds from outside grew fainter and fainter.

It was only then that Moira Lynch realized this was the entrance to the black, spiky bunker.

After passing through a long corridor into the bunker proper, Moira Lynch saw a group of people in matching uniforms, all fully armed, along with some other survivors.

When they saw Moira Lynch’s uniform, they became ecstatic. "This is great! It’s really an escort! I thought Old Man Walsh had seen wrong. How many supplies do you have? Any weapons?"

Although they had held out this long, they were nearly at their breaking point. They were just a security company, after all. Faced with vicious pirates, they could only defend, with no opportunity to counter-attack.

Of course, a more important reason was that their weaponry was far inferior to their enemy’s.

They were thrilled to see Moira Lynch, but little did they know, she was just as thrilled to see them.

’They want to fight back? Good. That means the weapons and supplies I brought will finally be put to good use.’

’And medical supplies, too. Fighting always leads to injuries, after all.’

’Plus, there are a lot of survivors here. They must need plenty of supplies.’

She pulled numerous resource crates out of her dimensional space—food, water, medicine, and weapons.

The people in the bunker were ecstatic. They never expected this one escort to be carrying so many supplies.

"You must have faced so many dangers along the way. Thank you. If I survive this, I swear I’ll tell everyone about your courage."

One of the men suddenly grabbed Moira Lynch’s hand, his eyes welling with tears as he spoke.

Moira Lynch was a little taken aback by the passionate display, but she quickly understood why he was saying it.

’It was dangerous, sure, but not *that* dangerous.’

"That won’t be necessary. I prefer to lead a quiet life," Moira Lynch replied, politely declining.

The man gave her a look of complete understanding.

After handing over the supplies, Moira Lynch’s personal stock was reduced by more than half, especially her weapons.

Out of a hundred crates of weapons, besides what she had already given away, she now only had ten left.

She had only kept those ten crates by her own volition. Otherwise, if she had brought out all of her weapons, they would have taken every last one. After all, nobody ever thinks they have too many weapons.

But Moira Lynch had to save some for the people she might encounter later.

Now that they had weapons, the group finally decided to fight back.

While the security team went to fight back, Moira Lynch remained in the bunker with the other survivors.

Because Moira Lynch had brought them food, the survivors were incredibly friendly toward her. They even offered her some of their own homemade food.

"I know you escorts have your rules," one of them said. "This food is ours, so don’t worry. You can eat it."

Moira Lynch accepted the food and said, "Thank you."

Just then, someone ran over, a panicked look on their face. "We have a problem! The storage bay is full!"

At these words, everyone present, except for Moira Lynch, grew anxious.

’The storage bay is full? Isn’t that supposed to be a good thing?’

As Moira Lynch was wondering about this, Patience explained:

[Master, the "storage bay" they’re talking about is most likely the garbage disposal room.]

Moira Lynch: ...

’A garbage disposal room is a garbage disposal room. Why call it a storage bay? It’s so misleading.’

"Is a full storage bay a big problem?" Moira Lynch asked, her curiosity piqued.

’Even if the garbage disposal room is full, it shouldn’t be enough to make them look so miserable.’

Hearing her question, one of the survivors explained, "The storage bay holds all the trash we’ve generated over the past few days, on top of some other things that were already in there."

"Normally, someone comes to collect all that stuff on a regular basis, but in this situation, no one’s coming. If we don’t dispose of it soon, it could start producing hazardous gases and endanger everyone’s life in here."
