Apocalypse Beast Supplier: Only I Sell God-Tier Beasts
Chapter 71: Former GloryStan Visor returned to Suran City only to be greeted by devastating news.
He had been gone for just a single day, traveling to ensure the absolute security of the treasure that could potentially control their lost test subject. But he never expected he would come back to face the complete downfall of his life’s hard work.
Everything had been systematically scrapped. The crucial documents and confidential data he had spent years collecting were all gone. All he had left saved were the initial research stages he kept stored in his own memory.
The rest of his files were erased or stolen, almost as if the attackers knew exactly what to target during their assault.
The realization boiled his blood in an uncontrollable surge of rage. He had worked tirelessly for this company, even enduring constant humilations while building such a massive empire within the industry.
Yet all of a sudden, because of a single small lapse in security, everything was gone.
Stan sat silently in his executive office, which had been completely stripped of its former prestige. Various items were scattered all over the floor, from his broken vanity sets to his personal collection of corporate trophies.
Nothing looked right anymore—not the room, not his body, and certainly not his state of mind.
He desperately wanted to kill someone, but who was there to face his explosive rage? He had no idea who had launched the attack, and neither the Lee Family nor their affiliated associates could offer a firm answer.
He had immediately reached out to them for emergency support, but it seemed as though the Lee Family was in no rush to help. Instead, they were entirely focused on dealing with a slipped asset from their main lineage.
Terrence’s public duel had successfully divided their focus, pulling attention away from protecting Stan’s legacy. The very reason Stan had pledged his absolute loyalty to the Lee Family in the first place was for their ironclad protection and smooth business sailing.
Yet, when he needed them the most, they couldn’t even offer basic assistance. He felt completely cast aside and unimportant.
"That’s exactly what I wanted to deliver to you. The patriarch already knows all about your secret schemes, though he’d never say that to your face. He was simply waiting for a moment like this to replace you."
Terrence’s voice abruptly cut through the heavy silence of the ruined executive office Stan had built.
Stan lazily raised his gaze toward Terrence. His body slumped out of its usual posture, his heavy elbows resting awkwardly on top of his massive executive desk.
"I know that."
"You already knew it, yet you refused to accept my hand when I extended it to you earlier," Terrence said calmly.
"You’re just a kid!" Stan snapped, his voice trembling slightly. "What can you even do?! You don’t understand your former family. You know nothing about what they are truly capable of!"
Terrence chuckled softly, taking a few steps forward until he reached the front of the executive desk. He rested his palm flat against the polished wood, placing it right where Stan was forced to observe it.
"I know far more than you think," Terrence replied, leaning in slightly. "And to be honest, it’s not like I didn’t warn you before."
"They have already taken the treasure," Stan muttered, his shoulders sagging as his anger turned into absolute exhaustion. "I have nothing left to counterattack with. I don’t have the resources or the physical power to fight back anymore."
Stan’s voice sounded hollow, bitter, and completely devoid of emotion—a strange mixture of feelings that produced an uncertain, broken tone.
Terrence smirked, though Stan was looking down and failed to catch it. Terrence let out a quiet sigh, shaking his head gently.
"Avenge it," Terrence urged firmly. "Do it with me. Avenge the people and the legacy you cared about—the ones the Lee Family took from you. Work with me to bring them down."
Terrence had already carefully mapped out this exact part of his master plan. Naturally, Klein knew nothing about this private meeting, as Terrence fully intended to exploit this specific loophole in their joint strategy.
Since Klein and his group hadn’t considered recruiting Stan or employing this level of deceit, Terrence could use this exact moment to construct a shadow network—one operating entirely behind both Klein’s and the Lee Family’s gaze.
If everything worked out as he envisioned, his ultimate goals would become reality in a short amount of time. He didn’t necessarily need to work harder, but he definitely needed to think smarter.
"I don’t know..." Stan murmured, staring blankly at the ruined floor. "I think I just have to give up now."
Terrence could see that Stan’s initial rage had rapidly plummeted into total despair.
Indeed, anyone would feel intense anger at first, but Stan was fundamentally a smart person. He knew all too well how overwhelmingly powerful the Lee Family was compared to him, even back when he still possessed his entire corporate empire.
"Do you really think I’m going to let you entertain that idea?" Terrence asked, his voice shifting into a sharp, encouraging tone. "I started with absolutely nothing, and you know that. Compared to what you formerly owned, what I have right now is just a tiny penny compared to a whole credit."
Terrence squared his shoulders, standing tall while looking directly down at the defeated man sitting before him.
"But that didn’t stop me from making my move against the Lee Family," Terrence continued, his eyes narrowing with intensity. "Work with me... It will be completely different from how you worked for the Lee Family."
Terrence paused, letting his words sink in before adding, "If you work with me, I can promise you one thing: the Lee Family will never suspect you. We will build everything around the public premise that you have completely given up and retired. But in reality, I will be secretly funding your research. I will sell whatever you create. Together, we will face the exact industries the Lee Family controls and defeat them where they draw their power from."
However, despite the passion in Terrence’s pitch, Stan remained completely silent.
The silence stretched on for several excruciating minutes, until Stan finally lowered his head into his hands.
"I just don’t know..."
"Tsk."
Terrence immediately turned his back on him, his tone growing instantly cold. "If you’re just going to sit there and accept your defeat, then I don’t need to waste my time persuading you. Moving forward, you’d just be a liability anyway."
Terrence began walking toward the exit, but as his footsteps echoed through the room, Stan reached a sudden realization he had been trying to ignore.
Stan was exceptionally sharp. He could process complex tactical information far faster than average people, a mental trait enhanced by the nature of his contracted beast. While there was a limit to that cognitive boost, it was active right now.
At this exact moment, he reached a clear, logical conclusion.
If Terrence had started with nothing after being cast out, yet managed to survive and grow this strong, then there truly was a realistic chance of success.
"Wait..." Stan called out, pushing himself up from his heavy swivel chair.
He stood upright, his breathing heavy as a spark of life returned to his dull eyes. "I don’t care about rebuilding my former corporate empire anymore, but I want to see the Lee Family fall with my own eyes. If that’s your true goal, then I have nothing left to lose—while they have everything to lose."
