Apocalypse Beast Supplier: Only I Sell God-Tier Beasts
Chapter 76: Looming BridgeThe strategic position of the Looming Bridge settlement was built directly above a suspended gorge between two massive valleys.
While traditional cities constructed on flat land required a vast, wide perimeter of defense, the residents here could simply concentrate their entire military defense at a few narrow entry points.
Given the wild architectural integrity of the Looming Bridge and how strict their building codes were, it made complete sense how such an apocalyptic settlement had managed to survive much longer than other strategic outposts.
The heavy public bus transport entered through massive stone entrances between two giant fortification walls for the nth time—a count Terrence had long lost track of.
There was a light feeling of genuine amusement rising inside him, seeing how this city maintained such tight, paranoid security against any potential dungeon overflows.
In fact, there was an active rift located right near the first entrance to the city perimeter.
After passing through a long series of reinforced entrances, the transport finally reached the heart of the Looming Bridge settlement.
The sharp hiss of the pneumatic bus door announced their arrival, pulling into a wide, open parking lot since no large mechanical vehicles were permitted inside the actual residential district.
Terrence stepped down and looked out over the sprawling city, instantly understanding how the settlement had managed to survive for centuries. It stretched for at least a kilometer, with construction and expansion actively underway along its borders.
Its entire structural integrity was anchored by massive girders of ultra-tough steel, carrying the immense weight of the elevated city. Since the vast majority of citizens and travelers navigated the city entirely on foot, it significantly lessened the overall stress on the support beams.
Moreover, the construction materials used for the local establishments were exceptionally light. A few buildings used heavy bricks for their structural foundations, but everything above ground level was constructed from lightweight composites.
The overarching architectural style remained completely functional—just simple, blocky structures without a single care for aesthetic beauty. That didn’t matter to Terrence, though it was a quick detail he quietly observed.
Soon, they were officially granted entry into the main city district, with Terrence exiting the parking lot as Noli walked alongside him.
"Is this your first time visiting this place?" Noli asked, turning his head slightly.
Terrence gave a short, silent nod.
"I see... So you weren’t sent out on a field mission here back when you turned fifteen years old?"
"I was sent out on a mission back then," Terrence replied, his tone flattening instantly. "It was in the barren slums. But it ended so terribly that I’ve wanted to forget it ever since."
Terrence was lying. Deep down, that memory was still carved into his mind.
Noli’s expression shifted, his eyes softening as he realized how heavy that topic was for Terrence.
"Would you mind if I asked what happened?" Noli pressed gently, his curiosity getting the better of him. "I just want to understand what it was really like in the barren slums, and why they sent you there in the first place."
Terrence didn’t answer him. Instead, he simply picked up his pace, walking faster to put distance between them. Completely ignoring Noli’s probing question, he scanned the nearby street until he spotted a cozy inn. The day was rapidly coming to an end, with the evening sun sinking beneath the jagged mountain ranges across the valley.
Without waiting for his companion, Terrence pushed open the light glass door and stepped into a room filled with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee, his nose twitching slightly as he inhaled the pleasing scent.
He strode straight up to the front reception desk.
"One room, please," Terrence requested directly.
The receptionist gave a polite nod, quickly scribbling a few notes onto her parchment logbook before raising her head again.
"And what about a room for your companion?" she asked, gesturing toward the entrance.
Terrence turned his head slowly, his flat, unreadable eyes meeting Noli, who offered a slightly embarrassed smile while shrinking his posture back.
"A second room for me as well, please," Noli interjected quickly, shifting his gaze over to Terrence. "I’m sorry, Terrence. I promise I won’t ask you about your past anymore."
"You do understand that we don’t actually need to talk to each other, right?" Terrence said coldly.
As the receptionist placed a heavy key onto the wooden counter with a soft tap, Terrence reached out, grabbed it, and immediately walked toward the hallway to locate his assigned room, leaving Noli standing alone in subtle shock.
Terrence had left him behind without a single care. He felt a sting of annoyance, but he quickly rationalized that Noli was likely using a tactical strategy to force him to lower his guard.
’The overly precise way he frames his questions makes me almost certain he was assigned a specific mission involving me,’ Terrence analyzed privately as he unlocked his door. ’It was my mistake to take on the exact same dungeon rift as him. I should wake up early tomorrow and find a lower-rank rift to clear on my own instead.’
Noting to himself that he wasn’t in a desperate rush to farm contribution points today, Terrence decided to rest for the evening, throwing his tired body onto the soft mattress. He stared quietly up at the ceiling as the translucent virtual interface of the System manifested before his line of sight.
[Ticket Shop]
[1 Gacha Ticket = 10 million credits]
Deciding to purchase a total bundle of twenty tickets using his accumulated funds, Terrence eyed the Silver Pull option this time. He hadn’t actually managed to utilize the Merging Incubator he had won from his previous Bronze Pull yet.
Since he needed to wait until he established a secure physical storefront before he could safely experiment with that incubator, he wondered if the higher-tier Silver Pull would grant him immediate, high-utility items he could use outside the Beast Shop.
’The system rules didn’t explicitly state that I can only use these drawn items inside the physical shop,’ Terrence reasoned internally, adjusting his posture on the bed. ’And the Merging Incubator requires dedicated time to test safely. Right now, I don’t have that kind of free time...’
Taking a deep breath, Terrence brought up his newly acquired stack of tickets.
’It’s time! Time to gamble and test my luck!’ Terrence selected the Silver Pull option, a wide, anticipation-filled grin spreading across his face, just like any gambler placing a high-stakes bet.
The exact moment Terrence confirmed the Silver Pull, the Gacha Shop interface underwent a pristine, luminous transformation, manifesting three physical cards that floated suspended in the air directly before his eyes.
Unlike the rugged, earth-toned cards of the Bronze tier, these newly spawned cards radiated an exquisite, high-end polish. Their borders gleamed with sharp, polished silver linings that framed a completely clean, solid white surface that caught the soft ambient light of the virtual interface.
The three silver-rimmed cards immediately began to shuffle, rapidly interchanging positions with one another at a dizzying pace.
The movement quickly accelerated into a blinding blur of silver and white afterimages, spinning repeatedly to randomize his high-stakes draw.
After a tense, silent moment, the intense shuffling sequence abruptly halted, and the surrounding visual effects began to fade.
The single card resting at the absolute center slowly detached itself from the set, floating smoothly toward Terrence before hovering in place with a gentle, rhythmic up-and-down animation.
It hung silently in the air before him, reflecting a cold metallic sheen as it waited for his mental command to flip it over and reveal his Silver-tier reward.

Reading the incredible description of the item as it deposited directly into his System Inventory, Terrence’s jaw dropped to the floor in pure shock.
’Is this actually real?!’ Terrence thought, his eyes wide as he stared at the screen. ’This completely ignores the daily growth limit of the Beast Sanctuary!’
