So, Chu Miao called a few reliable people and had them set up a temporary registration station outside to register those people while others arranged accommodation.

"You will get registered and shown to your residence by these soldiers. Don’t worry. I need to go back to the market and get the people there. The peaceful window is about to close." She said hurriedly and disappeared.

She had specifically asked for soldiers to attend to these people because even in the apocalypse, their uniform made them trustworthy in the eyes of the citizens.

Chu Miao made it back to the market in the blink of an eye.

The winds were starting to pick up and luckily, the people from the sect had already closed shop and were just waiting for her to take them back.

"Let’s go." Chu Miao said as soon as she appeared and everyone followed her out of the mall.

She still didn’t want to let others find out the location of the sect. So they walked for some time and she could see through her divine sense that there were some tails following behind them.

However, as the wind became fierce, they couldn’t keep up and the group was able to shake them off.

Once Chu Miao was sure that there was no one else around, she enveloped everyone within her domain and teleported them back to the sect.

They all appeared inside the walls on the square.

After saying goodbye she went to check on Monkey and his companions.

Most of them had already been registered and the soldiers were finishing up with th last few.

"Where are the injured people?" Chu Miao walked over to Monkey who was holding his daughter and talking softly to his wife.

"Uh! Hello Miss. Chu." Monkey got confused at first and stammered as he greeted Chu Miao. Then as if understanding what she was asking, he pointed to one side where the leader and a few others were supported by others waiting to be shown the way to their houses.

"Take them to the hospital first. They need immediate care. The doctors there will decide what type of treatment they need." Sh didn’t want to get involved in everything.

She could feel that she would advance soon and once she crossed the divine transformation stage, she and the others would have to leave.

These people need to learn how to operate the sect without them.

No one argued after hearing what Chu Miao said.

A soldier walked over to the leader and offered to show them the way.

He called a few other people to help in transporting the injured and soon, they headed to the hospital.

The others were led towards one of the buildings where they were assigned houses depending on the size of their families.

Monkey only lived with his wife and daughter, do his house was a two bedroom apartment with a bathroom, a kitchen, a small study, and a sizable living room.

As soon as they walked inside, they couldn’t believe that there was still a place in this world in such a good condition.

What surprised them was the fact that there was water even in the bathroom. They could take a hot shower and wash clothes.

Water had become a luxury since the apocalypse began and all the water sources were contaminated.

Monkey had nearly collapsed numerous times due to dehydration. He couldn’t even get a sip of water for days and even when he managed to get some water, it wasn’t even as clean as the water used to flash toilets in the sect.

Moreover, he had to bring it back for his wife and daughter so that they could hold on a little longer.

Now as he looked at the water flowing freely from the shower head, he nearly roared to the sky in excitement.

The most significant thing he had ever done in his life was knowing Chu Miao and treating her warmly.

If he had clashed heads with her the first time they met, he could b sure that he would have ended up dead in a ditch somewhere.

Where would he get to live in such a good place?

Just as they were still marveling about the blessing of finally having a home, a knock came from the door.

The family of three finally came out of their reverie and Monkey asked his wife to tidy up while he went to open the door.

When he pulled open the door, he was shocked to find five soldiers in coumoflage uniform carrying oversized boxes.

"Hello junior brother, we came to deliver supplies." The soldier at the front said with a smile.

"Ju...junior brother?" Monkey was surprised by the form of address.

Why did it sound like some fantasy from a cultivation novel?

"Well, you joined the sect later, so you are our junior brother." The soldier following behind the first one replied with a goofy smile.

Even though Monkey was still confused, he invited the people inside and soon the living room looked smaller because of the huge boxes placed inside.

"Why did you bring so many things to us?" Monkey’s wife walked out of the master bedroom where she had been arranging the things they brought with them.

"Hello sister-in-law, this is what every knew sect member gets depending on their situation. You don’t have anything, so you were provided with basic necessities. Once you adjust, you can choose a task to perform and earn contribution points which you can use to buy what you need later." The leader among the soldiers explained.
