However, turning to his companions, he found that they were all clenching their fists in hatred, especially Lin Xioran.

She was gnashing her teeth almost to the point of breaking them.

"Don’t let them affect you. I know you are angry, but remember our goal." Uncle Jun advised.

"But I truly want to kill them." Even Xiao Jun was getting impulsive.

As they talked, the group of people seemed to recognize them through the open windows and immediately greedy expressions surfaced on their faces.

They wanted this car.

"Hey, stop the car or we will blow up the tires and you won’t escape this time even if you fight to the death." The leader of the thugs shouted.

His face was ragged with a long scar decorating his face from the base of his nose to his forehead.

He was as ugly as hell yet his confidence was through the roof.

No one inside the car spoke.

Uncle Jun ordered, "Close the windows and remain inside the car."

Without another word, everyone sitting near a window closed it.

The men were surprised by their reaction. Shouldn’t they be shaking in fear and begging for their lives?

Why were they so calm? And why just close the glass windows? They could just break them with a brick.

"Get them out of that car. And I want that woman. I didn’t get to enjoy her last time, this time, I am not letting go. You boys can have the tender boys inside."

Uncle Jun felt his jaw clenching when he heard those words. Even he had the impulse to get out and smash that person’s head into a pulp.

How dare he have such covetous eyes for his nephew? He deserves death.

Before his rage could take over his reason, a few of the men walked to the car and attempted to open the doors to no avail.

"Smash it. I want to see if they could hide in their turtle shell for eternity." The leader walked closer to the car and ordered.

"What if they ruin the boss’ car?" Someone asked in a whisper inside the car.

"The boss told us not to get out. He must have thought of such situations as well." Another whisper echoed in the car.

Just as they were wondering what would happen, the few men held iron rods and clubs and struck at the car. But no sound was produced.

The mean outside didn’t understand what had happened, they had struck with so much force.

But those inside the car witnessed it clearly. A light shone from the wooden token in Uncle Jun’s shirt pocket and covered the entire car.

Xiao Jun and the others marveled at this miracle.

Did that unremarkable wooden tag really have such power?

No wonder the boss told them not to leave the car no matter what happened outside. It seemed he was prepared.

However, soon they began to worry. The wooden token was so small. Could it’s power last very long?

What if those thugs decide to ware it down? They could keep attacking until the power protecting the vehicle is exhausted then they would truly be done for.

"What do? What to do?" Someone whispered in a very small voice.

"Trust Mr. Ye. Since he asked us not to get out. He must have had his reasons." The middle-aged man spoke with so much conviction he looked like a cult member and Ye Xuan was the leader.

He had only known him for hours, yet he was now bordering on worship.

’Did people really develop trust that fast?’ the others thought as they looked at his sychophantic face.

But they soon realized they had been worrying for nothing.

Because at that moment, an almost transparent apparition of Ye Xuan suddenly appeared beside the car.

And to everyone’s surprise, it spoke. Though it was just one word, it felt as if Ye Xuan was together with them as a guardian angel throughout the journey.

The apparition outside waved his hand and said, "Get lost."

Without even having time to scream, every thug surrounding the car turned to dust.

They all turned to dust!

Not even their skeletons remained.

The people inside the car were so shocked that their jaws nearly dropped to the ground.

How could someone be so powerful even when he was not physically present?

They were so surprised that they didn’t even notice when the apparition disappeared.

It was only after sometime that someone spoke.

"Could a person be that powerful, or did we encounter a deity in disguise?" It was Xiao Jun’s friend who spoke.

His question seemed to wake everyone up.

"With just a wave of his hand and a ’get lost’ those people really got lost. Like literally and permanently." Xiao Jun echoed his friend.

The others had faces filled with admiration and worship. Even the girl who had harboured some thoughts earlier didn’t dare to have such thoughts anymore.

She felt it would taint the image of a deity.

"Now you see how our steadfast behavior in upholding morals has scored us such a powerful boss?" Uncle Jun asked, looking around at everyone’s faces.

"Yes, yes, Uncle Jun, we thank you for your guidance." Some started making fun of him.

Mostly because at first when the team was formed and the apocalypse became too chaotic and resources became scarce, some of the members felt that acting like the others and seizing what they needed was justified.

Yet, Uncle Jun refused to let them do that.

He kept saying that once they cross that moral bottom line, they could never get back.

The team had around thirteen people at first, but a small group felt that he was too strict for nothing and formed their own separate group and defected.

Even though their lives were somewhat better because they had no qualms killing for supplies, now if they found out about their association with Ye Xuan, they would definitely regret it.

But no matter how regretful, Fei Jun would never accept them back.

"Alright, start the car and let’s go. Now that we know we have protection, we shouldn’t worry about traveling at night. Let’s strive to reach City A by tomorrow." Uncle Jun encouraged everyone and the car was started once more.
