Ascension of the Sylvan Cosmos
Chapter 883. Development of Ceperet Solar System.Chapter 883: Chapter 883. Development of Ceperet Solar System.
The date to meet with Sarlos was set to happen in around three years or so. These three years were from the outside perspective, so Liu Shu had nine years to prepare before meeting Sarlos. The location Liu Shu chose, according to the ones given by Sarlos, was a nearby Space Station in neither the Nexus nor Covenant zones
Even then, it was relatively close. Spreading her roots in that direction and reaching the Space Station would take Liu Shu five years tops. So, she had enough leisure to prepare everything for the meeting.
"That’s settled then..." She once again glanced at the Golden Sap Empire’s 10 Solar Systems and began doing her work.
What was Liu Shu’s expertise when it came to large-scale projects? Terraforming.
Liu Shu had already terraformed most of the Ceperet Solar System. What was left was Solkara, the closest world that was like a giant ball of molten sludge. For the rest, Liu Shu only needed to let time pass so their ecosystems would fall into place.
Among them, she was the proudest about the Gas Giant’s environment. After creating the materials for the Island Rain Cycle environment and mixing them with several moons, the planet had enough landmass to stably create large pieces of land where life could develop.
Moreover, the smaller the piece of land, the faster it would lose its energy and fall into the massive liquid ocean down below. Therefore, the environment tended to gather larger pieces of land. ’I thought that would be a problem, as it shows a tendency to create one giant supercontinent. Still, there is a certain limit to how much the floating islands can hold together. When they surpass the threshold, the pieces of land crumble and fall off. This will make sure to create an ever-changing and long-lived environment where life can develop uniquely.’
As for the rest of the worlds...
"Vorathen is a volcanic world, but not excessively active. It is good for creatures who live in warmer environments or benefit from ash and volcanic activity."
"Ceperet is a world with supercontinents and deep oceans. A very standard world when it comes to those suitable for life. If anything, Ceperet is slightly large for a rocky world, but not that much."
"Nualis is a swamp ocean teeming with life. The shallow waters and sparse island-type continents tilt more toward amphibians and insect development, but there are plenty of other species. Still, water-based lifeforms are the leaders. Big Sister Lakeborn and Big Sister Pelagia are doing great over there. Moreover, the Lake Spirit I discovered has also begun its development."
Pelagia was the largest ocean World Tree back when Liu Shu was not a True World Tree, sharing status with Warlya, Azure Rose, Skyflower, and Celestial Lotus. It was the next candidate Skyflower had chosen to try and become the True World Tree before she encountered Liu Shu.
Still, Pelagia was like the ocean, deep and silent most of the time. She just enjoyed expanding her territory, and together with Lakeborn, she was one of the two largest aquatic World Trees.
’I had wondered how this type of World Tree developed when they became True World Trees, and it is more interesting than expected.’
Land- and air-related World Trees just needed to change what they were already doing only slightly. For aquatic World Trees, they all created something like an ocean domain that they could expand. It was like Liu Shu’s <Realm>, but somewhat less tangible.
The speed at which they expanded was slower than the other two types, but their domains were sturdy and hard to breach.
"Vorathen, Ceperet, Nualis and their Moons are the core of the Golden Sap Empire. The next three, Feltera, Tiravel, and Erynthea, are going to become important too. Feltera, the crystal world, is perfect for golem-type and non-organic lifeforms. The world’s core has a strange energy that makes the creation of crystals much more common."
Then came the only Gas Giant in Liu Shu’s Solar System, Tiravel. "The Island Rain Cycle World will be perfect for nomadic and flying creatures. The air density, the essence of the world... everything is tailored for nomadic and flying species. Even plants that shoot seeds and make them float to reproduce will flourish in this world."
Finally, Liu Shu moved her gaze toward the bluish, pale world at the edge of the Solar System. "Erynthea is the opposite of Vorathen. Blizzard, snow, ice environments... this world is perfect for creatures that live in the cold."
She had consciously developed these six worlds and many of their Moons in different directions. When Ceperet became a hub for countless species, these seven worlds would become a way to separate different species and give each of them what they most need to develop.
"Now, I need to at least open some <Dungeons> in each of these worlds so they can develop."
Doing so was not complicated. As Liu Shu explored other Solar Systems, her <Ticket> amount skyrocketed. Mythical and above tickets were very rare to come by, and Legendary Tickets were also very rare. However, Super Rare and Ultra Rare tickets had piled up in the hundreds.
The <Dungeon System> gave Liu Shu <Tickets> when she discovered a new species that she didn’t know about before. There was an additional prerequisite for that, though. The species also had to be unknown to the libraries and be different enough that it could not be considered a subspecies. For example, a spider species that shot webs, and then a larger spider species that shot webs as well, but were in the same family.
In short, the mutation had to be large enough that the <Dungeon System> could classify them as "New."
Therefore, whenever Liu Shu wanted, she could go on a massive gambling streak. "Hehehe... I can’t wait!"
The last time she was ridiculously unlucky. This time, things would change! Liu Shu was sure (She really hoped) that she was going to get good things.
Not even a World Tree could defeat the effects of gambling.
"Anyway~, the Level 200 <Dungeon> that I was crafting has been completed. A supermassive <Dungeon> that needs a lot of participants using the <Feat> of defeating Rhazor back then is complete!"
The void above Ceperet shot, and then, a massive portal manifested as space folded inwards. There were no Mythical Bosses or above. Liu Shu had placed a <Legendary BOSS> to act as Rhazor, and many Ultra Rare and Super Rare mini BOSSes tied to side quests that would give nice rewards.
Moreover, unlike with Aionthra’s Dungeon Instance, she made sure to give <Dungeon Escape> tickets appropriately so that they could escape after completing enough quests. She couldn’t be too kind with Dungeons, though. The <Dungeon System> also needed to have victims to function properly. There was at least a 1% fatality rate in most <Dungeons>, some with much worse percentages.
Aionthra’s Dungeon, still unconquered, had a 100% fatality rate, together with the Vorathen BOSS Monster’s Dungeon, which also claimed a 100% fatality rate.
Both World Ranked BOSS Monsters were not something that could be defeated with just numbers. If Aionthra’s trial was for a small group of heroes that needed to defeat the big evil, Vorathen’s trial was trying to stop a natural Catastrophe.
<Vorathen, the Patient Worldroot> resembled a World Tree. An existence made of countless roots and branches to dominate the world itself. The setting was also a place where a World Tree was being devoured by Vorathen, and a large group of heroes dove deep to destroy Vorathen’s Core.
To put it simply, Aionthra was a Demon King vibe BOSS Monster, while Vorathen was an Evil God BOSS Monster.
"Now that the Level 200 super Dungeon is done, I can comfortably close <Eternal Trial Domain> for a while."
To be honest, she had noticed that the Explorer Association was once again preparing to send a few groups to try to conquer those two instances. Seeing the setup, Liu Shu was quite convinced that both attempts were going to fail. As an SS- Rank, Liu Shu knew just how strong Aionthra and Vorathen truly were.
The problem was that these groups had enough strength to, at least, cover enough trials that they would reach a checkpoint. If they did so, leaving the instance would become possible, and the information about her dear Aionthra would start leaking.
Selfishly, Liu Shu didn’t want that. So, with enough <Dungeons> to support the Golden Sap Empire for a while, Liu Shu’s decision was to close and adapt the <Eternal Trial Domain>. She would give, for now, Aionthra’s trial a difficulty of Level 299. ’I can’t go further, sadly. Otherwise, I would’ve jumped it to the Level she truly deserves, which is at least over Level 400.’
There was one problem, though. ’My berry gatherers work in the <Eternal Trial Domain>.’
Due to the absolutely ridiculous size of her canopy and the ridiculous number of berries created daily, the Berry Gatherers would probably die of exhaustion from moving around and even lose plenty of her berries in the process if she told them to gather straight from her canopy.
So, Liu Shu had connected her berry production with the Dungeon’s one and only Golden Portal. Her berries were collected by the <Dungeon System>, and part of her canopy was mimicked with an adjusted size, together with several quests that could reward Experience Points, Berries, and other interesting items.
By now, the Berry Gatherers were a force to be reckoned with. The leader was a Level 210 Space Attributed Fairy with S+ Tier talent, while there were plenty of others at similar ranks.
In truth, if gathered, Commander Zaros said that they could perfectly form another army wing for Liu Shu. Of course, Liu Shu refused. Her adorable berry gatherers would grow to help her comb through her branches and gather her fruits! Their combat power was important because she didn’t want anyone to bully them. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Hm... How do I help them collect my berries?"
While she adored them, Liu Shu didn’t want to focus on helping them gather her berries. Which tree helped people collect their fruits!? This was one of Liu Shu’s few pleasures as a normal tree, so she cherished it dearly.
Although... "normal tree" was a stretch. Liu Shu had twisted dimensions and created a massive dungeon that replicated her canopy, connected to it through the Dungeon System, just so they could collect it "manually."
Either way, Liu Shu refused to help with the berry collection, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t give them a path to it.
For that, Liu Shu once again twisted the very fabric of space and dimensions to help them with it. "First, in the <Eternal Trial Domain>, I must create several levels of Berry Collection. Level 100, 150, 199, 200, 250, 299... Yeah. These are good for now. They will only be able to use it later, though. In the meantime..."
Liu Shu’s main body eyes opened, and her green-glowing eyes bloomed with brilliance. Runes and Array lines manifested in front of her main body, twisting reality around Liu Shu herself.
After six months or so, a message appeared in Liu Shu’s eyes.
[Congratulations! You’ve created a temporary <Dungeon Domain Mimicry Rune Array (S- Rank)>.]
<Dungeon Domain Mimicry Rune Array>: Using Dimensional manipulation and using <Eternal> energy as its axis, the Dungeon Domain Mimicry Rune Array allows you to imprint the essence of a <Dungeon>, or part of it, in an area. This place will follow the same rules as the <Dungeon> you are mimicking.
Extra effect: Since Tianlian Liu Shu is the owner of the <Dungeon System>, it has taken over this subspace and will give away rewards at the same rate as before, creating the same questlines and monsters.
A satisfied smile appeared on Liu Shu’s lips. "Hehe... This way, they will be flying in my true canopy... Although, well, I’ve manipulated space to make it somewhat smaller. Something I can only do within my <Realm>, sadly."
It was not at all a useful rune array. But Liu Shu’s desire to be a healthy fruit-bearing tree would push her to achieve what she wanted!
So, no one noticed that the one golden portal only Berry Gatherers could cross momentarily flickered.
