Awakening the Useless Class...But I am Secretly the Strongest!
Chapter 36: RewardsThe flames continued burning until the dark energy around the head completely disappeared.
The Fallen Beast’s body finally stopped moving.
A moment later, the familiar system notifications appeared.
[Floor Guardian has been defeated.]
[Congratulations! You have successfully completed the Floor Guardian Challenge.]
[Heroic Difficulty cleared.]
[You have gained access to the second floor of the Origin Tower.]
Ryan lowered his greatsword and looked at the remains of the Fallen Beast.
"He sure had impressive regeneration."
He glanced at the destroyed head.
"Now I understand why the guide said to keep attacking it until its head was completely destroyed."
Ryan then looked around the massive hall.
His summons were still standing nearby, waiting for his next command.
"Well, that took longer than I expected."
Ryan looked toward the fallen boss.
Its massive body suddenly began breaking apart into countless particles of light.
Ryan’s eyes widened slightly.
"Wait."
He quickly activated his Perfect Loot talent.
"Perfect Loot."
Nothing happened.
Ryan frowned and tried again.
"Perfect Loot."
A system notification appeared.
[No valid target detected.]
Ryan stared at the notification for a moment before sighing.
"So I can’t use Perfect Loot on Floor Guardians."
He looked at the fading light where the Fallen Beast had been.
"That’s unfortunate."
Before Ryan could think about it any further, another series of notifications appeared.
[Congratulations on completing the Floor Guardian Challenge on Heroic Difficulty.]
[Your achievement will be recorded in the Origin Tower.]
[Your name has been engraved in the Hall of Achievements.]
[You have obtained the first position in the Second Floor Guardian Subjugation Ranking.]
A large ranking screen appeared in front of Ryan.
At the very top was his name.
1. Ryan Drake — New Earth
Below his name were numerous other Awakeners.
However, Ryan quickly noticed something strange.
The names below his were not from New Earth.
They belonged to people from completely different planets.
Ryan looked through the ranking with interest.
"So there are people from other planets climbing the Tower too."
He then looked at his own name at the top.
A thought suddenly crossed his mind.
"Wait. I can change my displayed name?"
Ryan quickly opened the ranking settings.
He erased Ryan Drake — New Earth and replaced it with the name he had used in his previous life.
Max Walker — New York
Ryan looked at the new name for a moment before nodding.
"That looks better."
He confirmed the change.
The ranking immediately updated.
1. Max Walker — New York — New Earth
Ryan smiled.
"I hope my buddies got transferred here too."
He didn’t know whether the people he knew from his previous life had also been brought to this world, but he couldn’t help hoping they had.
Before he could think about it any further, several more system notifications appeared.
[Congratulations!]
[Your personal Tower level limit has increased.]
[Level Cap: 100 → 200.]
Ryan nodded.
Another notification appeared.
[You have unlocked three new Class Skills.]
[Class: S-Rank Death Blade Knight.]
Ryan was about to check the new skills when another notification appeared.
[You have obtained a Legendary-grade equipment set.]
[Death Blade Knight Equipment Set acquired.]
Ryan’s eyes lit up.
"A Legendary class-specific set?"
He immediately opened his inventory and looked at the newly obtained equipment.
The set contained several pieces of equipment designed specifically for the Death Blade Knight class.
Ryan couldn’t help but smile.
"Not bad. This challenge was definitely worth the wait."
Another notification appeared.
[You have obtained 3 Skill Level-Up Tickets.]
"Nice. I got three of them. That’s pretty good for a Hidden Heroic Challenge."
Ryan looked through his rewards again.
Another notification appeared.
[Ranking rewards have been distributed.]
[You have obtained a Rank 1 MVP Chest.]
Ryan looked at the chest that had appeared in front of him.
"Let’s see what’s inside."
He opened it on the spot.
The chest burst open in a shower of colorful sparks, and several glowing orbs flew out as a list of rewards appeared before him.
[Rewards]
2 × Random Legendary Crafting Materials
2 × Random Legendary Consumable Items
1 × Legendary-Rank Pet Egg
1 × Random Elemental Insight Stone
1 × Instant Dungeon Ticket
5 × Grand Fortune Roulette Tickets
Ryan looked at the rewards one by one.
"The crafting materials could be useful."
He then looked at the Legendary Pet Egg.
"And this should be interesting."
Ryan stored the rewards in his inventory.
He still had plenty of things to check, especially the three new Class Skills and the Legendary Death Blade Knight equipment set.
"Let’s see what I got."
Ryan opened his status screen again and began checking his new abilities.
Ryan opened the class skill window.
Three new skills appeared beneath his Death Blade Knight class.

Ryan stared at the three skills for a moment.
"Not bad."
Death Armor would greatly improve his defenses, while Death Step gave him another powerful movement ability.
However, his eyes remained on the last skill.
"Death Blade Domain..."
A domain that could strengthen him while weakening every enemy around him was exactly the kind of ability he wanted.
Ryan closed the skill window.
"With these skills, I should be much stronger than before."
He then opened the equipment section of his inventory.
There was still one more reward he hadn’t checked.
The Legendary Death Blade Knight Equipment Set.
