Chapter 469: The Nucleus of Annihilation, Completely Detonated!

"Senior!" Xu Qinghan’s vision blurred with tears. She knew that these Guardians, for her sake, for the continuation of the Fire, were stepping into the Gui Xu from which there would be no return.

She lunged toward the Fire Network, trying to reach out and seize those figures on the verge of dispersing, but her hand passed straight through their phantoms, touching only the cold emptiness of nothingness.

"Go! Child! This is the mission of the Fire! It is also our destination!" The old man’s voice carried a trace of release-like calm as it sounded beside Xu Qinghan’s ears. His figure, within the Fire Network, was especially clear, yet also the most dim, as though in the next instant he would completely melt into the void.

"Master of Nothingness! I will not let you succeed!" Xu Qinghan roared, a sound that shook heaven and earth. Within her voice was an unyielding will, an eternal Belief.

She shot skyward, her speed pushed to the absolute limit, turning into a streak of golden light that surged straight toward the outer space of the Nucleus of Annihilation. She knew she had to break out of this deathtrap before the Nucleus of Annihilation completely detonated!

However, how could the Master of Nothingness possibly let her go so easily?

"Fire Ignition bearer! You cannot escape!" The Master of Nothingness’s voice was like whispers from the Nine Netherworld Abyss, laden with endless cold and mocking as it echoed by Xu Qinghan’s ear.

The detonation speed of the Nucleus of Annihilation abruptly surged. Streams of pitch-black aura of nothingness, like countless tendrils, suddenly speared out from within the planet, coiling toward Xu Qinghan, trying to drag her back into the Abyss of death.

Xu Qinghan clenched her teeth and pushed the Ancient God’s Fire to its utmost. A blistering barrier of Fire formed around her, instantly vaporizing those tendrils of void. She gathered all her Power beneath her feet, her figure pushed to the extreme, cleaving through the darkness like golden Lightning.

"Rumble—"

Just as Xu Qinghan was about to break through the atmosphere of the Nucleus of Annihilation, a thunderous boom that shook the Cosmos erupted behind her!

The Nucleus of Annihilation completely detonated!

Endless Power of nothingness surged outward like a Tsunami, devouring all matter, erasing all Law. It was not a mere explosion, but more like the collapse of the Cosmic Origin itself. A black hole of pure void formed in an instant, trying to draw everything around it into its depths.

Xu Qinghan felt an irresistible, colossal force sweep toward her from behind. She spat a mouthful of blood, her body flung away like a kite whose string had snapped. The barrier of Fire around her was shattered in an instant beneath the onslaught of the void flood. "The Fire... will not be extinguished..." Xu Qinghan growled through the agony, forcing herself to endure the torment in her body as she violently pushed the Ancient God’s Fire Mark between her brows.

At that critical juncture, the mark erupted with a brilliance unlike any before. A blazing golden flame surged out from within her, turning into a vortex of gold that drew in all the Power of nothingness around her, then exploded outward, Purification igniting at once and cleansing that void Power.

At the same time, her body was hurled millions of li away by that terrifying shockwave, finally crashing heavily onto a barren asteroid, smashing it into four or five pieces.

Xu Qinghan’s body felt as if it had fallen apart. She lay amid the shattered asteroid’s debris, gasping for breath, her whole body racked with pain. Her consciousness was blurred, yet the Ancient God’s Fire Mark between her brows still emitted a faint glow, stubbornly pulsing like a guiding light in the darkness.

She struggled to sit up and lifted her gaze.

Where the Nucleus of Annihilation had once been, there remained now only a region of pitch-black emptiness—a vast, ever-expanding black hole devouring everything around it. That black hole was so deep and terrifying it seemed able to swallow the entire Cosmos.

The light of the Fire Network had also vanished completely.

Xu Qinghan’s heart wrenched violently. She knew that those Guardians of the Fire, those Heroic Spirits who had sacrificed themselves for the hope of the Fire, had already completely dispersed into the void.

"Senior... Yu Kong... I will not let your sacrifice be in vain..." Xu Qinghan’s voice was hoarse, weighted with endless grief and steel-like resolve. She clenched her fists, nails digging deep into her palms, yet she felt no pain. All she felt was an unprecedented Power surging within her—this was the final Inheritance left to her by the Guardians of the Fire, their unyielding will, their eternal Belief.
