Accompanied by the piercing sound of a woman’s voice and the hurried sound of footsteps.

The people blocking the entrance were quickly dispersed.

It wasn’t long before An Mingji saw Captain Jiang, along with a man and two women beside him.

These three were Xing Wenming, Mao Minlan, and Mao Shuqin.

"Is it those two?"

Mao Shuqin pointed at An Mingji and Zou Yanpeng, who were sitting in the seats with calm expressions, and asked Captain Jiang discontentedly.

The latter bowed and scraped: "Yes, Madam Yin, they’re two of the murderers connected to Miss Ying’er’s death last night."

Why were they only two of the murderers?

Captain Jiang was an old hand, too aware that last night’s tragedy was not something two young boys could have accomplished; they must have had other accomplices.

"Then why are they sitting?!" Mao Shuqin’s face twisted with rage, and she shrieked sharply.

Captain Jiang’s face was full of bitterness: "Madam Yin, we’re powerless. They’re truly too strange. We can’t even touch them—."

After hearing Captain Jiang’s explanation, Mao Shuqin almost understood that the two young men might have some cultivation abilities. Her face showed mockery: "A bunch of useless people!"

She shot a cold glare at Zou Yanpeng and An Mingji, took out her phone from her purse, and made a call.

"All of you, come in here!"

After speaking, she hung up the call neatly.

Suddenly, Mao Minlan, who had been restrained by Xing Wenming, moved.

"Ah, ah, ah! I’ll fight you to the death!"

She rushed crazily towards An Mingji and Zou Yanpeng.

"Shit!" Zou Yanpeng immediately got up from his seat, trying to evade this madwoman at the first moment.

An Mingji sat still, his eyes half-closed, his posture lazy yet full of allure.

Seeing his indifferent attitude, Zou Yanpeng reached out to grab his arm.

Strangely enough, Captain Jiang and the others previously couldn’t even touch a corner of An Mingji’s clothes.

Yet, Zou Yanpeng easily grasped his arm.

"Mingji! Run, quickly!"

Mao Minlan had already rushed over.

Her hand was about ten centimeters away from An Mingji, about to grab his face.

Seeing the murderers of her daughter right in front of her, her eyes glowed with a vicious red light as she charged up madly.

Then, the eerie scene reoccurred.

Mao Minlan’s hand was very close to An Mingji, about five centimeters.

But she could only maintain that distance from the boy sitting on the chair because of the barrier.

Her hand seemed to hit some hard object, unable to move forward any further.

Though the murderers of her daughter were right in front of her, she could do nothing to them.

This made Mao Minlan’s face contorted, her eyes gleaming with a frenzied killing intent.

She screamed at An Mingji and Zou Yanpeng: "Die! Die! Just die!!!"

Xing Wenming immediately stepped forward to hold her, stopping her from making such an embarrassing scene: "Minlan, don’t be impulsive!"

Mao Minlan cried out: "They killed our Ying’er, they killed our daughter!!!"

"I know! Look at yourself, what are you doing!" Xing Wenming’s face looked grim, holding her arm tightly, controlling her.

Mao Minlan’s face froze for a moment, seeing the disdain in her husband’s eyes. She began hitting and kicking Xing Wenming, devoid of any rationality or her usual affluent demeanor.

Seeing her elder sister in such madness, Mao Shuqin’s eyes darkened. She felt her sister was losing her decorum, acting like a shrew, making her feel embarrassed.

Sitting on the chair, An Mingji crossed his legs, looking at Xing Wenming, Mao Minlan, and Mao Shuqin as if he was examining objects, filled with contempt and superiority.
