From deep within the rift came the old woman’s brief, muffled grunt of astonishment.

The shadowy, giant claw reaching for Lu You, shrouded in a distorting force field, froze for a fatal instant the moment that wisp of an aura—one far beyond its comprehension—brushed past it. It was an infinitesimal yet fatal hesitation, one even the claw’s master could not control!

Gu Ming, whose grasp of opportunities was preternaturally sharp, felt it the very instant the Rainbow Wing Butterfly flapped its wings and the Illusory Dream Tide rippled outward. The viscous spatial field around them had loosened—a shift as fine as a spider’s thread, but undeniably real.

"Go!"

He roared, and Cyan Treasure, which had already pushed its power to the limit, responded to its master’s intent. The Rootless Wood flared with violet light, yanking Gu Ming and the pets with him into a fissure barely wide enough for one person.

Gu Ming gripped the still-astonished Lu You tightly, shielding her and the Mouse Treasure and Star Spirit in her arms, who were equally stunned by the Rainbow Wing Butterfly’s evolution.

Without any prompting from Gu Ming, the Rainbow Wing Butterfly, having just unleashed its massive burst of power, flickered like a streak of light and instantly dove back into Lu You’s Beast Taming Space.

The light on its magnificent wings had dimmed considerably.

Above the Sports Arena, amidst the roiling clouds of energy stirred up by the High-star Level battle, a low, muffled thunder began to rumble. Dark clouds started to converge, and a worldly pressure that locked onto a specific lifeform quietly descended—

The signs of a Celestial Tribulation had appeared!

The energy from these patterns all converged on a single point: the Guiding Granny at the center.

Only now did Gu Ming have a moment to observe the source of his opponent’s power.

The bizarre sight sent a chill through him.

’It looks like her ability is incredibly strange. She seems to be sacrificing her companions’ lives on a timer, converting them into coffins to gain terrifying combat power that transcends Star Levels...’

Gu Ming knew next to nothing about such Evil Cultivator methods.

He had only heard rumors of this kind of Evil Technique that converted life into Power through sacrifice. Seeing it with his own eyes, he found it utterly bizarre and malevolent.

This battle, which defied all common sense, was a shock to both his eyes and his very soul.

He held his breath, watching intently, observing every minute shift in the battle.

The two supremely potent lightning powers collided violently, erupting into a sky full of electric serpents.

At the same time, Gu Ming heard the Eight-star Beastmaster controlling the True Dragon shout:

"Refine the Celestial Tribulation! Use it as a blade to smite this evil!"

Gu Ming’s heart leaped. ’As expected of an Eight-star powerhouse with a True Dragon Pet Beast! He’s actually turning the situation around and using the Refinement of the Celestial Tribulation for himself!’

The Guiding Granny let out a piercing shriek.

Her pride and joy—that Mysterious Power which could ignore even a High-Level Bloodline—was like snow in boiling water before this supremely potent lightning that contained the punishing will of the heavens. It crumbled and dissipated, inch by inch!

On top of that, even stronger and more terrifying Pet Beast auras began to rise from the directions of the Imperial Palace and the Demon Purification Court.

The Guiding Granny’s expression changed. She knew it was over.

"Heh heh heh... I’ll remember this! You damned Jade Dragon!"

The Guiding Granny let out a sharp, piercing cackle. Her figure blurred rapidly as the surrounding Space began to close, a clear sign she was about to Escape.

"Hmph!"

The True Dragon Master snorted. How could he let her escape so easily?

The Jade Dragon extended its claws once more. It brought them together, stretching the forcibly contained tribulation lightning between them and suddenly molding it into a dazzling, incandescent spear of pure lightning.

With enough force to tear space itself, the spear shot toward the closing rift!

KRA-KOOM!

The spear shot through the air like a meteor, trailing the sound of a rolling thunderstorm as it vanished into the rift.

A moment later, a muffled explosion echoed out, and space trembled violently.

The dark green giant claw, which had been about to disappear, was forcefully driven out from the spatial interlayer, reappearing in a wretched state.

Apparently, even though she had used a ritual for Array-Breaking to descend from afar, her true body wasn’t far away. It was hidden somewhere near the Royal Sports Arena.

The clash between Eight-star experts left Gu Ming dazzled and shaken to his core.

Meanwhile, Lu You had already made urgent contact with Elder Huo.
