Beast Taming: the More the Better

Chapter 1225 - 504: Storm Eagle Spirit! The Four Eagles Settle In

Chapter 1225: Chapter 504: Storm Eagle Spirit! The Four Eagles Settle In

Evolving a Pet Beast can be both simple and easy.

The fundamental theories of Breeding explain Evolution with perfect clarity.

Su Ping’s own grasp of these fundamental theories had long since reached the level of Perfection.

Now, having assessed the Split Wind Misty Eagle’s condition, finding an opportunity for it to evolve based on its current state might have seemed like a fool’s errand. In reality, however, it wasn’t difficult at all.

For a genuine Breeding Master who had successfully nurtured multiple pets to learn Super-Rank Skills and achieve new Evolutionary Bodies, a task like this was hardly anything to write home about.

After a quick round trip to the Breeder Association to retrieve the necessary resources, Su Ping began the special Breeding session—one that combined a life-saving procedure with an Evolution.

The process involved a foundational Breeding for Elementalization, a session to strengthen the Split Wind Misty Eagle’s Soul, and then the recombination of that Soul with its newly elementalized body. At the same time, he replenished its Life Force and infused it with a massive amount of Elemental Energy.

An ordinary and straightforward Evolution like this wasn’t actually all that difficult.

Compared to a standard Energy-based Evolution, it simply added the step of Elementalization.

But even so, it was an Evolution nonetheless!

A treatment focused on Evolution and one focused on mere recovery were two entirely different concepts.

This became clear when, after only half a day’s work, the Light of Evolution gradually faded to reveal a brand-new Split Wind Misty Eagle.

"SKREEE..."

A clear, sharp cry echoed throughout the Heart of Woods.

The two Divine Wind Sparrows and the Little Split Wind Lan Eagle, who had been waiting and circling nearby, flew around the pillar of light, spinning incessantly.

Then, once the cry rang out, they gathered around the newly evolved Split Wind Misty Eagle.

Su Ping also turned his gaze toward the Split Wind Misty Eagle as the light receded.

It was just as Su Ping had predicted.

While it still possessed the same massive frame as before, its feathers, once as hard as cyan steel, had vanished.

In their place was wind, condensed to the point that it looked like solid crystal!

Its body was translucent, and its navy-blue eyes were incredibly vibrant.

The power of the Evolution had not only granted it a relative increase in strength but had also restored its life to its absolute peak.

Within its elementalized body, vortexes of air seemed to swirl.

Endless gales converged upon the Split Wind Misty Eagle’s body, gradually forming a swirling vortex of wind.

Su Ping, however, just shook his head.

’An Evolution like this was, frankly, rather mediocre.’

This much was evident from the Split Wind Misty Eagle’s post-Evolution status:

[Storm Eagle Spirit - Wild]

[Age: 52 years, 5 months, 3 days]

[Current Level: Emperor Second Rank]

[Race Limit: Emperor Seventh Rank]

[Racial Skills: Super·Hurricane Eye (Beginner), Elementalization (Beginner), Wind Heart (Proficient), Storm Charge (Proficient), Wind’s Feathered Wings (Perfection)...]

It had plenty of Skills, more than a dozen in total.

However, aside from its original Eye of the Hurricane, it hadn’t gained any new Super-Rank Skills.

To say nothing of its Realm. Compared to before its Evolution, it had only risen by a single, insignificant Rank. Even its race limit had only just barely reached the Emperor High Rank.

Compared to Little Crow’s meteoric Evolution, where it had shot up a full seven minor Levels from the Monarch Second Rank, the Split Wind Misty Eagle’s transformation was truly nothing special.

Still, it was enough.

For the four Wind Spirits before him, simply surviving was more than enough.

This was confirmed a moment later. After the cry rang out, the Myriad Spirit Beast Atlas slowly materialized in Su Ping’s mind and provided its feedback.

That’s right. The instant the Split Wind Misty Eagle’s Evolution was complete,

feedback from two separate Catalogs appeared, one after the other:

[Catalog ’Split Wind Misty Eagle’ unlocked. Current Level: 1. Origin Reward: Talent ’Levitation Skill’ effect enhanced (1/5)!]

[Catalog ’Divine Wind Sparrow’ unlocked. Current Level: 1. Origin Reward: Talent ’Levitation Skill’ effect enhanced (2/5)!]

Before Su Ping could even examine the two Catalogs, the results appeared one after the other.

And the resulting effect was just as he’d expected.

Both enhanced the effect of one of his Talented Abilities.

He had originally acquired the Levitation Skill Talent from Little Crow.

Since then, however, Su Ping hadn’t unlocked the Catalog for any other avian-type beasts.

After all, he’d had very little contact with them.

He hadn’t even unlocked the entry for the two Blue-Feathered Flame Sparrows he encountered back when Little Flame first fought a member of its own species. Su Ping had only had minimal contact with them and had never personally fed or bred them with any degree of intimacy.

Naturally, their Catalog entries couldn’t be unlocked.

What Su Ping hadn’t expected, however, was this.

Enhancing the Levitation Skill Talent apparently only required unlocking five Catalogs of a similar type.

’Although, judging by the examples so far, the Talent enhancements were just so-so. The Eye of Truth had upgraded into the Spirit Vision Eye, and Telepathic Communication had become Psychic Communication. In terms of either the Talent’s effect or the impressiveness of its new name, Su Ping hadn’t noticed a significant change. Still, the benefits of having many Talents were substantial. If nothing else, his meditation speed after breaking through to the Monarch Level was now incredibly fast.’

With that in mind, Su Ping gave the two new Catalog entries a cursory glance and paid them no further mind.

Instead, he reached out a hand and looked toward the sky.
