Beyond Chaos – A DiceRPG

[1709] – Y07.209 – Darkness In Our Hearts IX

As Jirot cuddled up to her father’s chest, the half elf stared at the ceiling. Although it wasn’t time to sleep just yet, the half elf had taken his twins away, and because of Virot’s complaints, she remained cuddled within her mother’s bosom, half teasing the woman, and half adoring her all over. His thumb brushed along the girl’s green ears, feeling the way they curved and reached to a point, and once he was done the two met one another’s eyes. As they looked into one another’s eyes, the two leaned in to nuzzle one another’s noses, and after exchanging kisses into their foreheads, the half elf let his daughter go, and after blowing a raspberry into his son’s neck, let the boy go too.

“I’m recharged now!” Adam half exclaimed, and with that, he stepped away, allowing their mother to cuddle the trio together. He turned, looking to Virot, who was assaulting her elder sister with her affection, and with an easy heart, he stepped out.

“Papo,” the boy called, revealing his ribbon to the half elf.

“Oh? What’s this?”

“Wibbon,” Damrot said, waving his hand, causing the ribbon to shudder on his wrist.

“Oh! A ribbon! Amazing!”

“’mazing!” Damrot confirmed, waving his hand, and as Adam held out his arms, Damrot blinked, and held out his arms for the half elf to pick him up.

Adam felt the boy’s weight, and as he glanced down towards the boy, he noted the boy’s features. He looked so much like his father, and as the half elf blinked, the boy looked so much like his mother. At the very least, he was appropriately chubby for being the son of a baker. Adam pressed his cheek against the boy’s, and his nephew pressed his cheek back against Adam’s cheek, the two sharing their warmth. Adam reached up and gently scratched the top of the boy’s head.

“Okay.” Adam placed the boy down. “I’ll let you rejoin Virot.”

“Okay!” The boy waddled over to the door.

Adam turned, only to stop.

“Papo!” Damrot called.

“Damrot, my boy!” Adam called, turning, ready to pick the boy up.

“Bye bye,” the boy said, waving his hand, though this time without his ribbon hand.

“See you,” Adam said, waving his fingers lightly.

“See! You!” Damrot then sauntered his way into the room to accompany his kako, his kakas and his papa.

‘Damrot, you’re such a meek one too…’ Adam thought, and as the ghost of Damrot’s body remained against his chest, the half elf’s heart throbbed. ‘Don’t worry, Damrot! I’ll make sure you’re safe too! Your father, he’ll protect you until you’re an adult, and this father of yours, he’ll protect you after you gain your tattoos.’

“He is my son,” called a voice.

“Stop it!” Adam huffed, tensing up as the Iyrman appeared out of his shadow. “You can’t do this to me!”

As Adam stormed off, Jurot’s eyes trailed after him.

‘I am so funny,’ Jurot thought.

“No,” called a voice, and as he turned, a chubby face welcomed him.

“Daddy!” the girl declared.

“Yes,” Jurot replied, accepting Monarot from his wife, and as he held the girl, she sucked her thumb, staring up at her father. “I do not need to carry you, for you walk so well.”

“Wahk?” Monarot asked, taking her thumb out of her mouth, tilting her head.

“I can carry you.”

“Ca’y,” the girl confirmed.

Jurot’s heart began to pound heavily for a moment, but he killed the sensation, though he pressed his cheek against his daughter’s forehead, and the two cuddled.

‘Should I have children soon?’ Kitool thought, staring out at the fool who was currently holding his daughter. ‘Who should I marry?’

As Adam stormed off, he went to greet his grandmother, his grandfather, and his jiddo, though as he greeted them all, he turned to find a shadow looming over him.

“Didn’t you just get changed?”

“Ball,” Amalrot called.

“Oh.” Adam lifted the girl up. “You are my ball.”

“Ball!” Amalrot declared, and as Adam retrieved a ball for her, the girl held it between both hands. She stared at the round ball for a long while, and as she held it, she let out a satisfied smile.

‘Oh? Did she just want to…’

Amalrot sat, holding the ball, feeling its heaviness within her hands, and how it bounced back as she squeezed it.

‘I feel like you’ve gained weight this year…’ Adam thought, and as he admired her chonky form, the half elf let out a satisfied sigh.

“Brother,” Lanarot called.

“Yes?”

“Can I learn to GM too?”

“Would you like to learn?”

“No.”

“Oh.”

“Can I learn it?”

“You…” Adam tilted his head. “You don’t want to learn it, you just want to know if you can?”

“Yes.”

“Sure, I think you can learn it.”

“Hmm,” Lanarot mused, nodding her head slowly at the thought, and then, with that question answered, she waddled off to bother her mother with a different question that required a mother’s wisdom.

“Uh, grandmother, by any chance, could we have a chat?”

“Of course,” the woman replied, raising her brow expectantly.

“Elsewhere.”

“Of course.” The woman raised her brows expectantly.

“Oh, right. Of course.”

“Of course.”

“Of course.”

With that, the two made their way through the Front Iyr, the gentle breeze accompanying them.

“Did you enjoy the outing?” Adam asked.

“It was wonderful, for all outings with my grandsons and granddaughters, and my greatsons and greatdaughters, shall be wonderful.”

Adam smiled, and as the two circled around the central fire, making their way through the Front Iyr randomly, Adam spotted a few familiar faces, waving his hands towards them, and they returned a wave.

“I, uh, I was thinking, recently, about how I fight, and I realised that, technically I have a bit of both the Rot and Fev family, but, I learnt the way of the axe from the Rot family over time, but when it comes to my fists, I only really know boxing, so if I could, I’d like to learn your way, grandmother.”

Murlot let out a long satisfied sigh, and as her heart surged, she fought away the tears. “Of course.”

“Of course,” Adam echoed, and the two side eyed one another.

Mulrot then reached out and wrapped her arms around her grandson’s torso. She wished to speak the words, but she found them hard to slip through her lips. “When would you like to learn?”

“Whenever is most convenient for my grandmother, of course.”

“Of course.” Mulrot pat his back gently, and rubbed it, withdrawing slightly. She thought how her grandson had inherited her husband’s physique at least. “I shall train you every morning then, when my brother trains the young ones.”

“Thank you.” Adam smiled.

‘Thank you,’ Mulrot thought, reaching out to hold his hand, and she felt how soft his hands were, so different to her own, which were so coarse, of course, for she was an Iyrman.
