Warfire was the point at which all ordinary creatures in this world began to grasp true, immense power.

Only by igniting Warfire could they truly awaken their potential and touch upon even greater power!

For an ordinary being, the best way to ignite their Warfire was to temper themselves through combat, kindling the flame on their own.

However, depending on their innate Talent, some beings could ignite their Warfire with ease, while others might fight until their dying breath and never succeed...

But Luo Ge’s Candle Spirit Body was not bound by this restriction.

For both him and the Candle Spirits, the condition for igniting Warfire was simple: Wax Oil.

It only took one hundred Wax Oil to ignite the Warfire—cheap and effective.

Luo Ge breathed a sigh of relief upon learning this.

He had thought he would have to uncover the Arcane Mystery of Warfire himself. He never expected the Spirit Candle to just reveal it and offer such a convenient method.

However, the information was limited to just igniting the Warfire.

The Spirit Candle hadn’t revealed any specifics about "Fire Ignition," so Luo Ge would still have to explore that on his own.

’I’ll test the effects of igniting Warfire first.’

Luo Ge decided to try it on his own Candle Spirit Body first.

His body wasn’t much different from the players’ Candle Spirit Bodies. If there was any difference, it was that his was an enhanced version.

He could use Wax Oil to raise all the Attributes of his Candle Spirit Body to their maximum limits.

The players, however, could not. Even if Luo Ge wanted to change this, there was no way.

The reason was that although he held a certain degree of authority over the Spirit Candle, he couldn’t arbitrarily change things like the summoned players or their Candle Spirit Bodies.

The ability to alter the Candle Spirit Body that housed his own soul was already the greatest authority the Spirit Candle had granted him.

It was like the relationship between a person’s mind and body: you could control its movements, but you couldn’t will your muscles to grow or command your cells to obey you...

Luo Ge’s relationship with the Spirit Candle was incredibly close, yet he still didn’t know its origins or its reason for existing...

This was another one of the mysteries he aimed to solve.

After reining in his scattered thoughts, Luo Ge examined his own status before igniting the Warfire.

[Luo Ge (Candlekeeper)]

[Tier (Ignition Point): Residual Ash]

[Level (Temperature): 10]

[Ability Values: ...]

[Power: 20]

[Constitution: 20]

[Agility: 20]

[Spirit: 20]

[Faith: 20]

[Talent (Blessing): ?]

[Skills (Magic): Dodge, Bone Fork Throwing, Concealment, Ghost Claw, Blood Stone Burst, Knight Charge...]

Ignition Point and Temperature were the original terms provided by the Spirit Candle. Luo Ge had changed them to Tier and Level for ease of understanding.

Compared to the players’ panels, his stats—when presented in the same format—were so shockingly high they looked like they came from a cheat engine...

After confirming his status, Luo Ge quickly communicated with the Spirit Candle, offering one hundred Wax Oil to ignite the Warfire for his Candle Spirit Body.

[Igniting Warfire...]

The Spirit Candle quickly transformed the Wax Oil into a strange wisp of power that flowed into Luo Ge’s Candle Spirit Body.

In that instant, Luo Ge felt the blood in his veins begin to boil. His soul felt as if it had been plunged into a pool of scorching magma at the heart of a volcano, and an endless desire for battle surged within him!

Luo Ge could almost see the five great Attributes that represented his power transform into flames, overlapping and condensing as one!

BOOM!

In the pitch-black depths of his being, a single flame rose. It seemed so ordinary, yet it concealed an unpredictable, latent power...

[Warfire Ignited!]

[Your Ignition Point has advanced to "Embers." Your Temperature limit has increased!]

After igniting the Warfire, Luo Ge immediately checked his body’s condition.

[Luo Ge (Candlekeeper)]

[Tier (Ignition Point): Embers]

[Level (Temperature): 11]

[Warfire: ?]

[Ability Values: ...]

[Power: 25]

[Constitution: 25]

[Agility: 25]

[Spirit: 25]

[Faith: 25]

[Talent (Blessing): ?]

[Skills (Magic): Dodge, Bone Fork Throwing, Concealment, Ghost Claw, Blood Stone Burst, Knight Charge...]

Once his Ignition Point advanced to "Embers," his Level increased by one, and all his Attributes received a significant boost. Most importantly, a new "Warfire" entry had appeared, though it was only displayed as a question mark...

As for his Talent, that was a moot point. With the Spirit Candle around, Luo Ge had no need for one.

After examining his status, Luo Ge began communicating with the Spirit Candle again to get more information about Warfire.

He soon received an answer.

Warfire, a key part of how this world’s creatures grew stronger, had two main functions.

The first was to enhance one’s own Combat Skills and Magic for greater destructive power or improved Effects.

The second was to activate it on oneself, achieving the Effect of a massive, short-term Enhancement to all of one’s Attributes.

However, the Warfire ignited by each being was not exactly the same.

When ignited, the Warfire would evolve according to the being’s specialization, resulting in an Effect that emphasized a particular Attribute.

Typically, if a being focused on Power, their Warfire would also evolve in that direction upon ignition.

Then, when that being later activated their Warfire, its Effect would be focused on enhancing "Power."

Luo Ge’s Attributes, however... were perfectly balanced. This was why his Warfire was displayed as an uncertain question mark after being ignited.

Although he wasn’t sure if any of this world’s powerful beings experienced the same thing, feedback from the Spirit Candle indicated that Luo Ge could control his Warfire’s specialization himself.

’It’s a bit like a class system...’ Luo Ge thought, his brow furrowed. ’For now, I can probably use classes to represent the players’ Warfire, but I’ll need to plan it out carefully.’

Having settled that question, Luo Ge stood up and walked outside the Reef Cave.

The sky was just beginning to brighten. The Beach Fishmen were still wandering along the coast, though their spawn points had shifted outward along with the expansion of Candle Island.

"Haaaah..."

After gently exhaling, Luo Ge extended his hand, and an ordinary Long Spear materialized in his palm.

The next moment, his gaze sharpened. He communed with and activated his Warfire. Instantly, the flame blossomed, and terrifying power converged in his arm.

Bone Fork Throwing!

WHOOSH—

The Long Spear shot from his hand, creating what sounded like a sonic boom. The air itself seemed to tear as the spear crossed the distance in a flash, arriving amidst the crowd of Beach Fishmen!

KABOOM!

A massive explosion erupted, sending sand and dirt flying. The ground shattered. The Beach Fishmen that had been wandering there were instantly vaporized, and in their place was a terrifying crater!

On the crater’s edge, the surviving Beach Fishmen dragged their mangled bodies, roaring in fury as they tried to find their cowardly attacker.

As for the Beach Fishmen at the epicenter of the blast, they had long since been reduced to Ashes...

Empowered by Warfire, even the most ordinary of Combat Skills could produce a terrifying, cannonball-like Effect!

Of course, the sheer power of Luo Ge’s own Attributes couldn’t be ignored, but before igniting his Warfire, he absolutely could not have achieved this level of destructive force.

The Enhancement provided by Warfire was plain to see.

’Not bad.’

Luo Ge nodded slightly, a look of approval on his face.
