Nyx had gotten tired of knocking at June’s door that he was invited downstairs by June’s parents to have breakfast.

So he sat down with them while waiting for June. And soon June was out, majestically strutting down the stairs like his runway.

He was an S-rank Esper who had retired from clearing dungeons to focus on the family business.

His second brother, Grey En, was more laid back. He was a successful S-rank Esper in one of the most powerful government associations. He was a quiet type who took work seriously.

His elder sister, Lune En, was a non-awakened. She was studying abroad to pursue her dreams of being a successful fashion designer.

June easily knew that what his two elder brothers had in common was the fact that they were never fond of him. The original June was just too insufferable that they never liked him. They only interacted with him out of courtesy.

Only his elder sister tried being close to him, even though the original June was constantly being a mean jerk. She still adored her little brother and tried being close to him. But she was almost never around.

And as June met the eyes of two of his brothers sitting at the dining table, he wondered what the occasion was because they were almost never around.

"That doesn’t seem to be your uniform, is it?" Grey asked.

"Uniform is boring. Why wear that when you could have a runway to spice things up? Huh?" He winked at them.

"You begged to get into this academy, and now that you’re there, don’t you think you should take it a bit seriously? I mean, your partner has been waiting for hours now..." Lucas stared at him. "Don’t you even want to study at the academy?"

"Focus on eating," she said as she stared at Nyx, who quietly sat there. "Don’t keep your friend waiting. He’s been here for too long."

"He’s not my friend. He’s only a partner," June said as he thought, A partner who is after my life.

"He’s still a friend. And also the first friend who has come to see you at home." Mrs. En smiled at Nyx. "Here, eat more."

Mrs. and Mr. En seemed happy to have Nyx around as they offered him more meat and vegetables on his plate.

Nyx politely nodded as he accepted the meal. "Thank you..."

June casually rolled his eyes while he ate.

They were soon done with breakfast as Mr. and Mrs. En bid June and Nyx off. The two of them made their way out.

"Why are you wearing that...?" Nyx stared at him.

"Because it’s comfortable." June shrugged, adjusting his sunglasses.

"But that’s not the school uniform."

"I know. But don’t you think it looks prettier than that boring thing?" June asked.

"Anyway. So what are we doing today?" June brought down his glasses, staring at him.

"I gave you the schedule..."

June searched his brain and honestly couldn’t even remember where the hell he dropped that. Well, it wasn’t as if he was going to open it anyway.

"Oh... I think my dog ate that." June smiled. He didn’t even have a dog.

Nyx slowly nodded as he tucked his glasses up his nose. "We’re heading to the school library to study today."
