The next morning, I was finally where I understood everything. The kitchen, no royal politics, no forgotten memories, no mysterious childhood promises. Just food. I tied my apron and started preparing breakfast.

"Finally!"I smiled.

I started chopping vegetables. Everything went perfectly until the kitchen doors opened and Song Hue entered.

"Good morning, Wei."He said.

"I insist."Song Hue said.

Before I could stop him, he reached for a bowl, then another voice came from behind.

"Wei." Lang Li said as entered.

"No."I closed my eyes.

"No?"Lang Li looked at me.

"Nothing." I said.

"You came early."He glanced at Song Hue.

"I wanted to see Wei." Song Hue’s eyebrow twitched.

"I see." Lang Li said.

"Everyone just stay away from the stove."I hurriedly returned to cooking.

Both princes nodded. Three seconds later, Song Hue reached for a pan, Lang Li reached for the same pan, their hands collided, and the pan tipped.

"WAIT!" I lunged forward as I caught it just before it hit the floor.

Everyone froze.

"That was my good pan."I slowly looked at them.

"Sorry."Song Hue looked apologetic.

They obediently stepped back. I sighed in relief.

I almost laughed.

"Can I at least cut the fruit?"Song Hue quietly asked.

"I can do it."Lang Li said immediately.

They looked at each other.

"No!"I slammed the cutting board down.

Both princes froze.

"Sit."I pointed toward two chairs.

They sat.

"Stay."I said.

They stayed and I returned to cooking.

"BONUS CONDITION DETECTED. Complete breakfast without either prince causing a kitchen disaster."The system appeared again.

"You said this task was simple."I stared at it.

"System regrets previous statement."A system said.

I laughed despite myself. At least breakfast was going to be interesting. Somehow, despite my strict instructions, breakfast turned into a disaster. I had just finished plating the final pastries when I heard a strange sound behind me.

"Poof."I heard loud crash.

I slowly turned. Song Hue stood beside the counter. Covered in flour, completely covered. His black hair had turned white at the tips, his shoulders were dusted with flour, and an enormous streak ran across his cheek.

"What happened?"I stared.

"I may have opened the flour container too quickly."Song Hue looked down at himself.

"Of course."I closed my eyes.

Then I heard Lang Li laughing.

I turned toward him. He was somehow even worse, flour covered his golden hair, his royal robes, and practically his entire face.

"Lang Li."I stared.

"It wasn’t my fault."He looked at me innocently.

"Why are you covered in flour?"I asked.

"Song Hue sneezed."Lang Li said.

"I did not."Song Hue looked offended.

"You did."Lang Li said.

"I coughed."Song Hue said.

"That explains nothing."Lang Li said.

I looked at the kitchen. There was flour everywhere, the floor, the counters, the shelves, even the ceiling. I slowly pointed toward both princes.

"How?"I asked.

Neither answered.

"DAILY TASK STATUS. BREAKFAST: COMPLETED. KITCHEN CONDITION: QUESTIONABLE. ROYAL FLOUR COVERAGE: 100%."The system appeared.

"You’ve got to be kidding me."I stared at the screen.

Ana appeared in the doorway, she stopped as her eyes widened.

Then she immediately started laughing. Hin appeared behind her, she looked at the two princes, then at me, then at the flour covered kitchen.

"Should we help?" She asked.

"No." I sighed. "Just bring towels."

Song Hue carefully brushed flour from his sleeve, Lang Li tried doing the same. He accidentally sent another cloud of flour into the air. Everyone froze as I slowly looked at him.

"Don’t."I said.

Lang Li stopped moving as Song Hue suddenly smiled.

"And you."I pointed at him.

"Right."His smile disappeared.

"BONUS CONDITION FAILED."The system chimed.

"I knew it."I stared upward. "Both of you are cleaning this."

"Both?"Lang Li blinked.

"Both." I said.

"Fair."Song Hue nodded.

The Empress Dowager suddenly appeared at the doorway. She took one look inside and then smiled.

"I leave the kitchen alone for one morning..."She began.

"Please don’t."I groaned.

"I think breakfast went wonderfully."She laughed.

"Your definition of wonderful is terrifying."I stared at the flour covered princes.

"REWARD GRANTED: 50 MOON COINS. ADDITIONAL REWARD: SYSTEM ENTERTAINMENT VALUE +100."The system flickered one final time.

I stared at it.

"You enjoyed this?"I asked.

"Very much."A system said.

"I need a vacation."I sighed.

After everyone finally left the kitchen, I started cleaning the flour covered counters.

"Ding." The system appeared in front of me, but this time the display was tiny. "Secret notification."

"Why secret?"I narrowed my eyes.

"Because the information may cause emotional distress."A system said.

"That sounds reassuring."I sighed.

"MOON GODDESS STORE. Access: unlocked. Currency: Moon coins."A new screen opened.

"Wait. There’s a store?"My eyes widened.

"Yes." A system said.

"What can I buy?"I asked.

"Special ingredients. Rare cooking tools. Magical kitchen equipment. Unique recipes. Limited items."The system paused.

"That sounds amazing!"My eyes practically sparkled.

"Price range: EXPENSIVE."A system said.

"How expensive?"I asked.

"Five hundred?"I stared.

"Correct."A system said.

"50 Moon Coins."I looked at my current balance. I slowly lowered my head. "So I can’t afford anything."

"Why show me the store, then?"I sighed dramatically.

"I suddenly regret asking."I froze.

The screen disappeared as I looked at the empty kitchen.

"Market."I said.

"Why?"Lang Li stepped beside him.

"Herbs!"I said.

Both princes exchanged a look.

"We’ll come."Song Hue said.

"No."I stopped dead.

"No?"Song Hue asked.

"I have seven minutes to buy them."I pointed toward the city gates.

"TIME UNTIL MARKET OPENS: 14 MINUTES."The system suddenly appeared.

I swallowed, then the system added one final message.

"WARNING: MOONLEAF HERBS ARE ALREADY RESERVED BY AN UNKNOWN BUYER."A system said.

"Unknown buyer?"I stared.

Behind me, Song Hue and Lang Li exchanged suspicious looks, and suddenly, buying three bundles of herbs didn’t seem simple anymore.
