Bliss Region, Rorazon Village.
The sun appeared from under the hill, and light cascaded across the beautiful-looking village that looked like it was straight from a fairytale.
The village rested quietly between green hills, where two clear rivers wound through the valley like silver ribbons.
In the morning, just like now, mist drifted above the water, catching the first pale rays of sunlight and turning the whole valley soft and dreamlike.
Small wooden houses stood along the riverbanks, their dark roofs dotted with moss and their windows glowing warmly from within.
Narrow stone paths connected the homes, winding beneath pink sakura trees heavy with blossoms.
Beyond the houses, fields of wildflowers and golden wheat stretched toward the foothills.
Waterwheels turned lazily in the current, creaking now and then as the rivers carried them around.
Ducks drifted beneath the bridges, while the distant sounds of villagers, birdsong, and rushing water blended into a quiet, familiar melody.
The whole village was finally waking up from its slumber.
This wasn’t just some ordinary village. No. It was the home of the world’s most infamous crime family.
Rorazon Crime Family!
The villagers, the children, and even the elders were all part of the vast criminal network. They were all criminals!
In a bedroom of one of the wooden houses, a beautiful woman’s eyelids fluttered open cutely.
Her dark blue hair was flat against the mattress, making her look like an angel that was just waking up.
"Mmh..."
Xiao Yue squinted her eyes as she looked around, and then the sunlight just happened to land on her face.
It made her turn away, and she sat up on the bed with the blanket falling off her body like water.
She was in her nightgown.
’The time...’
Xiao Yue looked towards the clock mounted on the wall and noticed it was six in the morning.
It was her usual time to get up.
She didn’t even need an alarm clock anymore, as her brain had been wired in a way that she would automatically wake up around six.
Yue tossed the blanket off her, went to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and then went to the wardrobe to change into workout clothes.
With that, she ran out of the wooden house and ran down on a narrow stone path with her dark blue hair tied into a ponytail.
The ponytail bounced up and down with every step she took.
"...Young Princess."
"...Miss Yue."
The villagers greeted her with bows, as she was the daughter of their boss, and therefore, they held her in high regard.
They would all die for her if she was ever in danger, and therefore, she was one of the most secure people in the world.
Her father didn’t want her to even play Black Online without bodyguards, and it took her a while to be allowed to play alone.
Xiao Yue ran over a bridge that went over one of the winding rivers. Went to the golden wheat fields. Then turned around and ran all the way back.
It was almost seven in the morning when she returned back to her house, and she quickly took a shower.
She then changed into a fresh set of clothes, went to the kitchen, and cooked some breakfast.
Half an hour past seven, she was done, and she put the breakfast selection out on the table.
"Whoo..."
Xiao Yue let out a long breath, and then her gaze travelled to the direction of one of the bedrooms, and she slowly approached it.
Knock~! Knock~!
She gave the door a couple of knocks.
"Zhirou? Are you awake?"
She slowly opened the door and came across the bed—where a young woman was sleeping—a beautiful young woman.
It wasn’t farfetched to say that in a couple of years she would rival Yue’s own beauty.
"Zhirou, breakfast is ready."
Xiao Yue gently sat on the edge of the bed, grabbed her shoulder gently, and gave it a little shake.
In that moment, Zhirou’s eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at Yue, still groggy from sleep.
"S-sister...?"
"Breakfast is ready."
Xiao Yue said with a smile.
It looked like Zhirou was quite dazed as she looked around, and then her eyes widened in surprise.
"I didn’t have a nightmare."
She said it in a way that it was a huge surprise, as it really was, since she had been having nightmares ever since her encounter with Devon.
The nightmares had finally ended!
"You’ve always had good instincts, Zhirou. I expected the nightmares to come to an end, and I am glad they did."
Xiao Yue giggled.
"...What are you talking about, Yue?"
Zhirou asked with a confused look.
"I found Devon yesterday. I killed him. He won’t bother anyone else anymore."
Xiao Yue said.
"You did that...?"
Zhirou’s eyes widened in a surprise, and they even turned slightly wet, and she then hugged Yue tightly.
"Thanks..."
"I had help."
Xiao Yue smiled, and then she remembered something, and she pulled out her phone from her pocket.
She went to the mobile version of Lagless and typed "Fang Raon" on the search bar to find his channel.
And she found it, and noticed that there was a new video on his channel that was uploaded last night.
Titled—The Hunt for the Butcher.
"What is this?"
Zhirou peeked over her shoulder and saw the video and frowned after seeing the title, but then her blood grew cold when she saw the thumbnail.
The thumbnail had Devon on it.
"W-w-what is this?"
"He is the person that helped me to kill Devon. He told me he was going to make a video of it.
"He realized that even if we killed Devon, he could always just make a new character and continue what he was doing before.
"That’s why he decided to make a video exposing Devon to everyone and make him enemy number one.
"So he wouldn’t be able to level up without players always killing him!"
Xiao Yue said.
"Wow... Let’s watch it!"
Zhirou said excitedly.
In that moment, Xiao Yue pressed on the video, and they watched the entirety of the video until the very end.
"It was a really great video."
Zhirou said with a smile.
When she saw Devon dying with her own eyes, the fear that had crippled her heart finally lifted.
She wasn’t the unkillable demon lord that she imagined him to be. He was just like any other human, with a beating heart that could be stopped with a single blow.
"However, it doesn’t look like the video is doing well viewer-wise. Only one thousand viewers so far."
Zhirou said with a frown.
If it continued like this, the video was not going to be of any use on stopping Devon, and it was just going to be buried in the sea of other videos on the Internet.
"It looks like I need to help him slightly."
Xiao Yue said, and then she went to the social media, and made a post to advertise the video.
She was extremely popular in the social media with hundreds of millions of followers—all her posts got millions and millions of likes and views.
She usually just posted selfies of her, so this was first time that she made a post like this.
"You seem to like him. I never thought you would go out of your way to help a man."
Zhirou said with a suspicious smile.
"What are you saying? I am just doing this as I don’t want Devon to do the same thing to anybody else!"
Xiao Yue pouted and pinched her little sister’s nose, who cutely tried resisting, and they ended up falling down on the bed, laughing together.
After a while of fighting, they finally calmed down and lay together on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"If what he said is true and he really is the Royal Prince of the Rawkshawn Family, why did he do such horrible things?"
Zhirou asked.
"I don’t know. Some people are just horrible. It doesn’t matter anyway. He is done for, and that is all that matters."
Xiao Yue said with a smile, looked at her little sister, and hugged her.
Zhirou smiled back.
...
Smog Region, Shanghug City, Shanghug High.
"...No way."
A schoolgirl sat on her desk, and all around her desk, her friends were laughing and giggling.
All of her friends were also girls, and they very much liked being pretty while putting more effort into their makeup than studies.
Which was why they all followed many influencers on the Internet that focused on looking good.
One of them was Xiao Yue.
"What’s up?"
One of her friends asked after she said, "No way," without being careful about the volume of her voice.
"Xiao Yue just made another post, and it’s him advertising a Lagless channel of some... man."
The schoolgirl said in surprise, and her friends gasped in surprise and quickly gathered around her phone to see the post.
"...Fang Raon? Who the hell is he!"
"...No way, is he Yue’s boyfriend???"
"...There is no way my Goddess Yue would have a boyfriend. I don’t believe it. I would die!"
The same thing was happening all around the world. Those who idolized Xiao Yue were in a shock.
They didn’t know what to think.
This was the first time that Xiao Yue posted something that wasn’t another beautiful selfie of her.
It was her advertising a channel of some man.
It wasn’t much of a secret that Xiao Yue hated men. Well, "hate" might be a strong word, but she didn’t like them!
This came as complete surprise, and they all wondered who this Fang Raon guy could be!
One after another, they checked his channel and flocked to his new video to see what the fuss was about.
