Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 46: AmbushMax nodded, and along with Andrew, Mathew, and some other bloodline awakeners, they entered the city to hunt the beasts.
Ethan Silverblade, who had always had his eyes on Max, saw this, and an evil grin spread across his face as he muttered.
"That’s it."
Max didn’t know that; he, along with the other bloodline awakeners, appeared within the city. They came to the main road of the eastern side of the city and already saw large rubble of destroyed houses, courtyards, and shops that had been razed by the beasts.
But thankfully, they didn’t see corpses, as it seemed everyone had found safe places to hide during the time of the beast tide.
Grr!... Grr...
They immediately heard a noise from a nearby store, and they quickly moved forward and immediately noticed three black fur wolf beasts were wrecking the store.
They didn’t waste a moment and killed the three beasts quickly. The surviving bloodline awakeners were among the best, and for them, handling some beasts was nothing.
"It would take quite a lot of time if we all move like this; we should split up so we can cover more places," Max said as he pulled his spear out from the skull of one of the wolves and looked around.
Everyone stopped for a moment, but then they all agreed, as although quite a lot of beasts entered the city, they weren’t like second-grade beasts and were mostly scattered all over the place.
They should be able to handle three or four beasts with ease. So it makes sense to split and then search, as it will be faster.
"Okay!" Everyone nodded, and they started to leave in different directions. The bloodline awakeners quickly scattered throughout the city, searching for the beasts that had entered through the destroyed walls.
Max, this time, decided to go alone, not with Andrew and Mathew, as he was now perfectly capable of handling most dangers.
He walked through the main road and tried to find beasts in those shops and found some. He moved along the way, but with his current strength, two or three beasts wouldn’t even survive a second in front of him and his spear.
As he was searching the beasts, he heard a scream.
"Someone help!" A woman’s scream came from a small restaurant, and he quickly ran towards it. He didn’t waste time as he quickly entered the restaurant. But in the entire place, although thrashed, he didn’t see or feel any aura of a beast.
This made him furrow his brows, but suddenly he heard the scream again, and it was coming from above the second floor of the restaurant, specially used to entertain VIP or richer guests.
Max didn’t hesitate. He rushed up the stairs. His grip tightened around his spear as he reached the upper floor.
Finally, he arrived outside the room from which the scream had come.
He stopped before the door, but he felt something was still wrong; he didn’t stop. "Is someone in there? Come out."
He spoke calmly, standing outside the door, but didn’t receive any reply; instead, he heard a scream.
Aahhh!
Max, without hesitation, kicked the door and entered the room. But the moment he stepped inside, his expression twitched.
The room was bizarrely decorated, resembling some kind of decadent and disturbing pleasure chamber. Lavish furnishings, beds, strange decorations, cages, weird toys, and an unsettling atmosphere filled the room.
Max stood at the entrance, momentarily speechless. This clearly was some sort of sex chamber or pleasure hall or whatever the people here liked.
He was a bit lost, but he then heard some noise from behind, so he quickly went to look. And then he noticed a large cage, but this cage wasn’t empty, as he saw a woman within it.
The woman appeared to have a quite beautiful young face and a sexy figure with big boobs and a nice ass.
However, her current condition was far from pleasant. Her body looked weak, and her eyes were filled with fear and despair.
But the moment she noticed Max, those emotions instantly changed. A spark of hope appeared in her eyes, followed by excitement.
"Please... help me!" Her trembling voice was filled with desperation and hope.
Max immediately moved toward the cage. "Don’t worry. I’ll get you out."
He grabbed the metal bars and pulled.
Crack!
The sturdy metal bent under his tremendous strength as though it were nothing more than rubber. With a few more pulls, Max tore the bars apart and opened the cage.
The woman looked at him with disbelief, as they weren’t simple weak iron bars but were special black iron bars that were said to be able to hold even the bloodline awakeners.
Max didn’t care about her reaction as he felt something weird about the place.
The woman quickly climbed out of the cage and started thanking him. "Thank you, brave soldier. Thank you for saving me!"
Max looked at her, furrowing his brows, but he nodded. Then, suddenly, a silver energy came from behind.
Whoosh!
The silvery energy was very fast, and it seemed he was too late to avoid it and slammed directly into his body, sending him flying across the room.
His body crashed heavily into the wall.
Boom!
Dust and debris scattered everywhere.
At the same time, a strange clicking sound came from behind the woman. A section of the wall suddenly split open, revealing a hidden passage.
A figure slowly walked out from the secret door.
The woman screamed in panic and horror, while the figure calmly watched Max as he knew Max was still alive.
Max slowly stood up, although he had a large wound on his shoulder and he was bleeding quite badly and looked at the person that attacked him.
"That silver energy... You are from the Silverblade family." He immediately figured out the identity of the attacker. Although the person wasn’t wearing the Silverblade family armour, the silver blade energy was the best proof.
"Tch, you are quite quick to understand. Since you know where I came from, why are you not on your knees and begging for your life? Who knows, I might be in a good mood and give you a quick death."
